Sad to see bad reviews because my experiences with our police department have been five-stars over the last 10+ years. I've had the pleasure of speaking with Officer Gomez and Officer May the last couple times, both are very professional and took the time to speak with me and assure me that everything will be taken care of. They both explained what steps need to be taken in each case and made me feel at ease. I hope everyone else will get to have a positive experience as well.

Very disappointed with today's out come. The aggressor with mental health issues came again and caused chaos. Did a citizen's arrest with the help of my son, police arrived got all stories of the people involved. An ambulance was called because the aggressor hurt their hand while breaking my window. According to the police officers the aggressor wasn't going to jail because they were hurt and wanted medical help and also mental behavioral help. The aggressor changed their mind and was let go and didn't even go to the hospital for their minor injuries. The aggressor didn't go to jail for biting and hitting the owner of the house because to them it was a misdemeanor and the aggressor would only be in for a few hours. Requested a restraining order and was denied a restraining order at the moment of the incident. Called the police department once again because I wasn't content with the service. After talking to the police officer that came out, he was able to give me a restraining order for only one month, not what I was hoping for but something is better than nothing. When there is an abuser or a person who keeps harassing you the restraining order should be longer than one month.

Recently at a church gathering I forgot my IPad on roof of my wife’s explorer while talking to some friends and left to Madera when I got home we found no IPad . Several days later we received a call from los banos police dept, notifying my wife that they had my IPad. How in the world did they find us! Kristen from the department went beyond her responsibility and made all efforts to find out who it belonged to. She truly went way beyond what someone would expect a police department to do . Thank you very much for taking care of even the things others would not see as important. You truly serve our community.

I've had to deal with them off and on over the last 20 years... it's kind of hit and miss with the level of officer you deal with... some come in and go that extra mile where you feel them care and take pride in the job ... others are well, need more, something...

So I called the police department last night due to a woman sitting on top of my car in my front yard. I can see her out my bedroom window, she also tried opening my car door. it was the middle of the night, I did not want to confront her due to the fact that I live alone and I am 8 1/2 months pregnant and i have a 5 year old inside and it's pitch dark out. So I called the police department I told them what was going on and they said they would head over. I felt good because I thought they would be there in seconds since the police department is down the street from me but I don't know what happen it took them over 20 minutes to come check it out anyways by the time they got here the creepy lady had took off. They just drove by and flashed their lights didn't even call me back to see if I was alright or stopped by my house to see if anything had happen. I could be dead right now and they wouldn't know because they didn't do their fucking job. So thanks for nothing but I'm sure you guys were busy doing nothing because theirs nothing ever going on in this fucking town.

It's a PD. I don't trust cops, but this town needs them. The girls up front are great and always helpful. Little place. Very small. But, they do have a coke machine:) Only 1.25:(
