I have been visiting Yum Yum here in Playa Del Rey for years-always a great visit. Service incredibly fast and friendly. Usually it is a large apple fritter, milk and a large coffee. All are of outstanding quality. Milk never tastes old or sour. Just consistently high quality and service.

I had been going there for years! Ever since the new owners took over its like walking into a shop in the alleys of LA! Loud music! Overly loud male employee! Do not order the ham and cheese croissants you will receive a ham and and processed American cheese croissant with chipotle sauce. Wow!!! I will not go here

Donuts don’t taste fresh and they’re mediocre on flavor. It’s not a donut place I’d pick again and again. One time for the one time.

Unfortunately, not a great donut. They need the toppings to hid the fact that the donut is not properly cooked. A plain donut recently bought had a bad oil taste, which means the donut wasn't cooked in the right oil temperature or the oil wasn't clean or hot enough. Either way, you could see the oil saturation in the donut and taste it. Hope they learn how to make a good donut.

It’s a SoCal chain so it doesn’t get the local love that the hipster donut shops get. But if you don’t live in the donut capital of the world this is probably as good as any donut you could get. Also close to a lot of car rental places, so perfect for stopping by and picking up nosh for the road.

There are NO apples in their apple fritters. I think they use apple juice for some flavor. Regardless of the size there is no fruit. Pick another doughnut shop from the list you can definitely do better then these cheap b@ stards.

Food is ALWAYS GREAT! Quality of the bagels, freshness of the veggies is right on. I love the apple turnovers and so does my waistline. On that note, I adore the Chilas, smoothie-like delights!! Oops! I love that this Playa del Rey establishment is open 24 hours. Now for the **not** so great reviews. I've held off for years posting the following. ' Where in the World ' is the AC? Where is a proper business 'door closer? A metal one? It was a hot summer. H-e-l-l-o !! In order to adequately venylate and possibly cool the place, the door is occasionally propped open w an unsightly chair, not particularly safe should a customer bump into it. W-h-a-t? I finally went to the hardware store, myself, and puchased a couple of Ace 4" brown Rubber Wedge Door Stops. That was futile, unfortunately. Why have plants if they're alldying? There's barely enough soil in the planters. I seem to be the only one who cares, who tidies the dead leaves and provides them w a drink of water. Now, here's the sad part, the kicker!! Should the water drop too much on the floor, it's I who asks for the mop. Yup, ** I ** !! One of the daytime gentleman workers just hands it to me & watches ME mop it up. I'm not expecting him to be distracted from the customers, but 'sure as shooting' it'd be real nice if he exercised some basic gentlemanliness and offered to do it himself. Afterall, I'm Just a customer. What does he care?? Totally inappropriate behavior, not to mention, where's his professionalism, not to mention a tiny hint of gratitude. This one male worker does the bare min outside, as well. Many moons ago I asked him why he wasn't sweeping up another part of the front. His comment back to me was, "Because I don't have to." Fancy that smart-A-'d response. Ever looked at how gross the trashcan receptacle is? Disgusting. Paint it for goodness sakes. So now for the "coup d'grace", the "finishing touch'' in English, the absolute disgusting behavior of Mike. He is the midnight shift employee. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt when I share that his professional comportment is totally unsavory. He is arbitrary, mean, dismissive, speaks and behaves inappropriately. I've done my best to resolve issues with him as maturely as possible. He's SIMPLY crazy. He'll purposely make me wait while he's doing the washing up. He'll have the radio on full-volume such that you can't have an exchange with your companion. When asking him to turn it down or off, he just refuses, Full Stop. If we go to turn it down ourselves, he'll come right behind and turn it back on full blast. Should I order a donut, afterall, it's a donut shop, no?? He will unsolicitedly remind me that I shouldn't eat donuts; they are bad for me. I don't recall me asking for his opinion. He'll purposely overcharge. When queried, he'll argue. I have to ask for my change. Not sure he's being dishonest necessarily, but he creates an entanglement of POOR customer service. I am a paying PATRON. I should not have to 'fuss' w such a character. I've brought these issues to the manager overbthe years, yes years, but nothing concrete has been done, never an apology. He can be really NASTY. Historically, I've stopped frequenting this establishment for months on end. When asked where I've been, I've spoken my Truth to the mgr. Last week I was walking my pet and stopped in to pay a $2 debt. I had ordered a sandwich w Avocado the night prior and was a few dollars shy. I had only $10 cash. Well, first off, it was stifling hot, AGAIN, albeit it 730 pm-ish. There was only one gal working. There was a homeless man sitting down rocking back n forth, clearly in some crisis. I asked if he was ok. I inquired as to what was ailing him. Did he need any food or drink? He responded yes, a cinnamon roll and a coffee. He admitted he was bi-polar and required an ambulance. I immediately called 988, L

I went: got a dozen donuts, 2 milks, a regular chilla, and a large licuado i asked for. Fast forward time to pay, 39 dollars.. something seemed a bit off as this is a regular order i get so i know my prices. Asked for my receipt and sure enough the lady charged me for "two large licuados" she then proceeds to excuse this charge by saying she's giving me an extra large cup and that's the only size they have and I'm explaining back, i always get this size, and it clearly stated on your menu board a LG is 4.99, i cut her off and just ask for the manager because she was going around in circles as to why i was being charged 10$ for a damn licuado. He comes out and tells me yeah that's an extra large, i said if you say so but i always get THIS SIZE and i never asked for an extra large so if this is YOUR XL that's on her because i clearly asked for a LG licuado.. he proceeds to dump out the drink into the same size cup as my chilla(a smaller cup) .. and says this is a large, and gives me 4$ back in cash for the difference. If you want to get technical it's 4.99 you're owed back because that's what's half of 9.98... i just left and ignored anything else they said because truly.. a joke.. moral of the story, ask for your receipt customers... they might be jacking up your tan with unnecessary charges.

Was looking for food in the area and after being disappointed at a close by sushi spot, we stopped by randomly here. Let me say, HECTOR IS A 12/10 employee !!! Treated me and my friends so well and was very attentive and helpful ! Donuts were also so thick and good, both food and service here was outstanding.
