What an absolutely wonderful wine place to accidentally stumble upon while getting my morning coffee. James was the name of the gentleman who helped me and really took his time explaining the shop and it’s history and nearly all of the wines in stock one by one. I ended up, leaving with four separate bottles, all new to me, and I am very excited to try them. This place is approachable and well laid out and I will make sure that I visit anytime that I’m in the area. I highly recommend just popping in for a look and maybe a quick sip of wine.

The BEST wine shop/tastings in LA ? So affordable and with wines you can’t get anywhere else due to the fact that their importer is a part of their few yet mighty staff. It’s rare to find a wine shop where the owner and staff travels around the world to find extraordinary smaller wineries/producers. Wine Stop does not follow trends, they are tastemakers. And despite the unassuming name, it’s true to it… a perfect place to stop for wine. They also have snacks, sauces, balsamic vinegars, olive oils, tinned fish, Japanese beers, and more! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, so don’t be afraid to ask them for help. Love this shop, they have a customer for life.

I walked in yesterday with specific criteria: a red under $25, perhaps a cab. I walked out in less than 15 minutes with an incredible red for under $22. I loved walking into the wine stop because it felt like I got a guided tour through the shop's wine options. Will definitely go back again!

About two weeks before our wedding, we had to change bar services and scramble to figure out how to provide all of our own alcohol for the event. We contacted Alvaro at Wine Stop DTLA and he invited us down to the shop to taste some wines, confident that he could figure something out for us on such short notice. He let us taste a few different reds, whites, and sparkling options and they were all delicious. Once we picked what we liked, he gave us a bulk order discount and worked with our coordinator to deliver the wines to our venue seamlessly. Truly one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had! We're still working our way through the bottles we have leftover from our wedding but once we're out we'll be sure to re-stock up at Wine Stop!

Cute wine store on Santa Fe. Everyone that works there is super knowledgeable with all the wines available. Excited for them to start wine tastings again. They have a few locations. Hoping they open one of these up in West Hollywood soon!

I was hosting a wine tasting with my friends and wanted to pick up a couple bottles. I knew this shop would have wines that you can't normally find at a general grocery store so I decided to pop in.The guy working was extremely knowledgable in helping me choose 3 different wines. He knew the back stories, the regions they're from, the grape varietal, how to serve, etc etc etc!! I was very satisfied with the customer service.Fast forward to my wine tasting and WOW all of the wines tasted absolutely amazing! Dare I say, better than those my friends brought. lol and on top of that, the wines are very well priced! My budget was around $20/bottle but they carry a range of prices... and I'm sure they all taste great!

It depends who you get for service. The German guy will, annoyed, correct your wine speak. Others expect tips just for swiping your credit card . In other words, I wish they were more pleasant.

As a long time customer with Wine Stop I have to say I absolutely love this place! Staffs are helpful and super knowledgeable. The amazing team at Wine Stop continue bringing in some of the best wines in the world with very reasonable price tags. I rarely get a bottle I dont like from their recommendations.

When considering the purchase of a bottle of wine, the most important name on the label is the importer. When you love a particular bottle of wine, then you share a palate with the importer that made your purchase possible. What sets the best wine importers apart are their abilities to bring wines that are equally stunning regardless of the price. This is what I’ve found with every purchase I’ve made at The Wine Stop and the only other place I can compare it to is Kermit Lynch. You’ll also find a deep informed history provided to you by the connoisseur handling your transactions at the shop.

The owner of this shop is so rude. He came bursting out of the store as I was parking in front (a legal parking space) and told me the parking was for PICKUPS at his store only and pointed to a small sign that he had place in front. NEVERMIND that I my plan was to go in and buy wine for a dinner party tonight. Just stared back at him, said "no" and left. With all the options nearby with good wine selections, this place doesn't stand a chance with such rude ownership! Horrible.
