Bought a ring from her that was sold to me as a 3 carat Diamond. The stone weighed a little over 2 carats. I took the ring back to get my money back. It took arguing with the owner for them to realize that they sold me something based on the wrong weight and I got my money back. Then I was told not to come back. Their explanation on why they were so off on the weight of the stone was “well we are a pawn shop so…”So obviously they have no idea how to evaluate the things they lend money on.Went back anyway months later and got a price on a piece of jewelry. Quoted $1400. Went back the next day to buy it and the owner raised the price to $2000. Unethical and greedy.Mr. Steve’s pawn shop is not far from this store. I would definitely go there. Much better customer service, more knowledge, and better all around. And they don’t screw around with the customers that make them money.I have been in the business for more than 40 years when Westside was flourishing and was king of the town when it came to lending to the local community. Now I can see why Mr Steve’s has captivated 90% of the community’s business, by way of better pricing, better service, and all around better, cleaner, and safer environment.I hope my experience with westside can prevent you or a loved one from the abuses of those who think that because they have the golden key, they can make all the rules.

I've been comming to this place for a while now, I like some of the staff members here, I've spend thousands of dollars,never had anything negative to say about these place until now. I walking in like always and there is a lady short lady there I'm so upset that I even forgot get name. Any how she was helping me for a while till now. I bought these charmed brassalete, because SUPPOSIBLY it was 18k I heard her always tell people it was, so I traded some earrings plus paid more money to get it for future,emergency .it turn out to be 14k. Dolores is her name I went back to explain and ask why she did that to me I feel like someone touch me without my consent, I feel sick to my stomach, she was talking over me wouldn't let me talk. She explained that she had said to me that it was 14k but I kept hearing that day I put it on hold that it was 18k, witch is why I bought it. I'm even embarrassed to walk into this establishment' because I feel like I can't trust anyone because of these person. I like the owner she's a very nice and professional lady,and some of her employee, but I'm uncomfortable to go back and face these person again, I have to go cause I have some peaces,to take out, but I will never buy from these person ever again only from the owner herself and the other professional crew members. I'm super upset I got sick from my stomach to been lied to, after spending a couple of thousands dollars here.!! OMG I FEEL SOOO BETRALLED!!! MY STOMACH IS TREMBLING FROM THIS INCIDENT!!!
