Westside German Shepherd Rescue is wonderful. We have adopted from there before and were very happy with them and our dog! Today, we came from Indiana to adopt our new dog. Maddy is so sweet! We are so lucky to find her! Thank you, WGSR, for all your hard work and what you do to save dogs. God's work.

Unprofessional and incompetent management. Kennel manager, Teresa should not be working there. They can't keep employees. She accuses everyone of drug use. She takes weekend off so she doesn't have to deal with volunteers, Bob,Trish and Jody. Saying I'm not trying to deal with these stuck up people. If you make a mistake she throws employees in kennel and makes them stay in there all day. Or she takes people off schedule. She instructs people if they talk to lily they will be suspected of drug use. Lily is a groomer/dogwalker. Illegal searches of employee lockers. Using derogatory names to call people. Bad news.

Westside has a very thorough application process and really cares about matching the right dog with potential owners. We were first time dog owners and we have two senior cats so our options were limited but Westside picked the perfect addition to our family. Highly recommend!

Amazing place to adopt a Sherman Shepard! We adopted one that was about 18 months old. They made the adoption process so easy. And the application they require is used to fit the dog to the right family.

This is a poorly ran organization. We submitted an application to adopt a dog in need they instantly denied our application why?? Maybe due to our name who knows, they gave a very vaugue reason with no call back nothing! We also sent several emails only to be ignored. We are experienced dog rescuers and have rescued several dogs and have great track record. It was a shame that this organization I had followed for several years decided to be so unprofessional that I can’t even get a returned phone call! No wonder we have an over crowing of dogs. As a philanthropist I will make sure my money goes to a better ran organization… oh and seems like this they have been sued before by other donors for having ran a very poorly ran organization, seems like that hasn’t changed to this day. It’s a shame because these lovely dogs will ultimately suffer because of the management of this organization

OMG I LOVE WESTSIDE. I got the BEST gsd of my life from them. They have the BEST team of volunteers. Was the smoothest adoption I've ever done. I had such an amazing adoption experience with them. I can't wait to get another Westside GSD!! Such a wonderful and amazing experience. I could go on FOREVER about how much I love this company. If you want an awesome GSD call WESTSIDE they have the best GSD selection. They are phenomenal.thank you Westside for sweetest angel you sent into my life. I am a volunteer here. The staff has always been so kind. The facility is well taken care of and super clean. The pups kennels are cleaned and the pups are bathed, and there is a play group. They also do cat testing in case you have kitties. Go get your best friend and tell them I sent you. I recently adopted a German Shepherd named "Honey," but her new name is Marla Rose ? "
