I've been a member for over 25 years. Since the end of last year there have been no water aerobics classes until recently in March. Classes are by reservation only except you can't get one. This morning (Wednesday) at 5 minutes to 7 am I tried to make a reservation for a water aerobics class for the following Wednesday. Nope I'm fifth in line if a spots opens up. Recovering from a knee injury yet the few classes that I can attend are you guessed it full!!! What's the point of being a member if the classes are always full and unavailable. I suggest you save your money and go elsewhere. I know I will be following you.

This place is horrible! A place is the sum total of the people that work there! I'm not saying that all the people that work there are bad they're probably not but this is my second attempt to try to join this place and really for your money don't go here go to LA fitness... My wife and I we're visiting this place cuz we're going to be joining the gym... We like the fact that this place had a pool I called twice to make a reservation I made what I thought was a reservation. We got to the pool to swim and some Jack decides to tell me that I don't have a reservation. Then he proceeds to tell me I need to leave. When I tell him I made a reservation he tells me I still need to leave. The fact of the matter is I had a question for him about why a guy was swimming in the middle of the lane when I was in the lane first number one and that's not how anybody swims anywhere.... Generally you split the lane side by side or you split the lane by going down one side and back the other I'm a pretty good competitive swimmer and this jerk made me a little upset because I was swimming and then to avoid him I hit my hand on the lane marker.... We were supposed to be in the lap swim section that's what I had called about that's what my wife was interested in.... Then I talked to the manager on duty or whatever who had about as much customer service experience as somebody's shoe... Sorry trying to be nice here! Bottom line the shoe told me that he'd look into it but I really didn't feel he actually would! Like I said in the beginning a company is the sum total of the employees and some of these employees need retraining.... To be around customers. There's no complaint line I've sent a complaint to the person that they gave me an email of.... This is how much they care about customer service! Smh....Go to LA Fitness.... The YMCA that you may have grown up with is not this place and oh by the way at another YMCA, the reason I stopped going to the YMCA, was they told my son and I to immediately get out of the pool because they had some sort of bacteria that was festering or growing! That was years ago I thought I'd give them another try.... Like I said just to be clear this was not the YMCA that had the bacteria or whatever problem with the water but they have a problem with a couple of their employees.... Rudeness, and lack of concern turned what could have been a nice experience into a horrible one!

I want to say that the gym itself is okay but the customer service and how they handle other matters is such a messy. Your payment will be processed wrong every single time and you have to email them to handle the situation. Nothing ever get fixed on time, if you have issues. Simple things and easy to fix will not get fixed because they don't care.I have been getting charged wrong for almost a year and every single time I need to submit email to explain the situation. Front desk is basically useless when it comes to this.

Frontline staff are friendly and helpful. Very clean facility.I go for the pool, at first weight loss. Now rehabilitating knee replacements.Girl's Showers on the first floor have been cold for a very long time. I've brought it to the attention of the manager by email repeatedly,still not fixed.That is the only issue I have here.The women's shower on the 2nd floor hot water works.But I don't use the stairs because of my knees.Water would drip from the pool, down the hallway to the elevator, and on the elevator and walk through 2nd floor exercise machine area to the locker room. I am more sympathetic to other people's needs

Very clean and organized. The staff is friendly and quite helpful. The instructors are very good at what they do. It's a nice safe family oriented place to visit, with a useful selection of group fitness classes and equipment.

Westchester family why has a beautiful, hot tub, it is huge. And then there is a swimming pool for little children which is very warm and above your head is a glass roof which is a lot of fun.

The people answering the phones never know wtf they're talking about and the open gym calendar is NEVER accurate. Canceling after 1 month of wasted time.

Avoid this place, their pool chlorine levels are extremely and abnormally high. Since it's an indoor pool and they barely open the windows that strong chemical stays there creating a serious health hazard to the people who are breathing that highly chlorinated air in the pool area. I took my daughter there and couldn't even stand outside of the pool. I had to go to a small outdoor area and watch her while her father played with her in the water, but when we got back home the highly chlorinated water saturated the towels and their swimwear so much that I had a hard time handling it. Even the pillowcases absorbed the excessive chlorine from their hair even after they had washed their hair with shampoo. The bedroom smells like chlorine. Exposure to high levels of chlorine causes respiratory problems so no one should be breathing those highly chlorinated pool fumes. To add insult to injury, when I took my daughter to rinse off in the showers and to use the bathroom, there were roaches running across the bathroom floors, it's so disgusting not worth the money or time. I reported it to the front desk and was told that there is a roach infestation and that they are working on it but it's hard because there's always women in the locker room so the pest control person can't go there which I honestly don't believe is a valid excuse. I bought my membership and only went there once based on my experience I cannot recommend this place to anyone and I'm still waiting for my refund, I will never go back.

Worst YMCA for working at and attending as a member. Highly recommend finding another facility as this branch is abusive to their workers and customers.

The YMCA as an organization strives to serve the community. But if you work for them, you will not be respected, appreciated, or protected. Their employment practices are outdated, abusive, and take advantage of cheap labor. If you work for them, you will not have a voice in the organization. As an employee, If you ever try to speak up about concerns regarding working conditions and services provided to community members, you will be intimidated and silenced by organization leadership and their legal team.

Incredible staff, very kind and always willing to help. While the facility is nice, with lots of programming, court space for various games, and a variety of workout equipment, it’s the staff that truly stand out.
