Amazing experience! Four days before an international trip, I realized my passport was missing. Literally everyone’s worst fear. I was lucky enough to find out about this and get an appointment. I got my passport the day prior to my flight. The experience was easy and really organized. I read a ton of reviews and was prepared for long wait times. I didn’t experience that during both my application nor the pick up. The staff and security guards were friendly and informative. If you are in a bind this is the place to go!

Awesome experience with my urgent passport needs. I had an appointment at 7:30 AM and I got there around 6:20 AM. There was plenty of free parking, not a worry at all. Around 6:30 AM I got in line, there were about 20-30 people in front of me. They do not open the doors until 7:00 AM but a security guard came out around 6:45 AM and gave us a rundown of what is needed and how things work. By the time they opened the doors, there must've been 150+ people in that line.Going through security was easy, the security guards staff was amazing. Way better experience than TSA.The clerical staff was amazing, very kind and helpful - way better than the DMV! I would definitely recommend this to anyone if they're in need of a passport urgently.Just a heads up, I think they only do same-day passports if you absolutely need it. I went on a Monday but I didn't fly out until Thursday so they gave me a pick up time of Wednesday at 1:00 PM.

I started the passport application process in December; it is now March. Unfortunately, I was given the wrong form by an inexperienced worker at my local tax collection office originally in SWFL. Therefore, an entire month and a half was wasted between the time I sent in my information to when the Department of State notified me about more documentation being needed plus receiving the correct paperwork. My flight is next week. It is still processing at this location. They offer little to no help over the phone and better yet, had my phone number wrong the entire time despite me repeating it during multiple calls. So who knows if they were trying to reach me about the expedited service I requested which they have yet to approve (a worker told me they would call if they needed more information early this week, I called today again, and they had it wrong the entire time). They offer little to no help and did not even mention the possibility of making an appointment despite the international date of travel being next week. Safe to say I will not be able to visit family for possibly years now.

Quick and easy. You might have to wait outside in line to get in the building that’s the only drag but it does go on quick. Probably waited 30mins max in line. As long as you have an appointment you will be seen. I arrived 5 mins before my appointment I was done in an hour or so. Security and employees are super helpful and nice. You will go through TSA like security since it’s a federal building everything is straightforward and there’s an employee that will help you on every step of the way. If not for the line outside it’s an easy in and out. Great job.

Took 1.5 hours to drive here, I arrived in time for my appointment and now there is a line of over 100 people in front of me. Some people have already waited an hour past their appointment time!… Incredible…

Wow, wow, one more time wow. There are five of us in our family. Passports expire at different times. We're planning it out of town trip coming up and upon booking we noticed our 10-year-old is passport expires in a couple months. Children need to update their passports more often. Of course it had to be a quick one because we had to apply for visas. The particular country we will be traveling to required your passport to expire no less than 6 months after arrival. And because we needed the Visa we needed to get his as soon as possible. When I say this was the easiest transaction I've ever done it was. I made the appointment online. Once you confirm the system walks you through what paperwork you're going to need what to bring etc. I followed steps I had everything I needed including flight information notary from my wife cuz she couldn't make it IDs passports everything. We got there our appointment was 7:00 they had us lined up inside by 6:55 at 7:00 I was at the window. They made it so easy I just can't say enough. By 7:20 we were out the door and the passport arrived the next day. Wow. And these new passports are really nice. It cost the same as if I would have went to a post office or anywhere else. Definitely definitely recommend if you need a passport in a hurry.

Just like any other appt for official documents, most of the time was waiting in line after line. Showed up at 8:15am and was out in just over 2hrs. Be ready to wait in line even if you have an appt. Able to come back for same day passport pick up from 1-3pm. (Turnaround time will be dependent on your itinerary).Even though they were backed up, they were moving through people quickly. Every person working was welcoming, efficient, and helpful - starting with security through to the end.I want to give a shout out to Erick, the person who took my application at the window. They were really pleasant, it felt like talking to a friend, was so patient, and went above and beyond to understand my timeline to work with me! Thank you!!!!Because of Erick and the rest of the staff, my overall experience was great! I almost cried out of happiness LOLThank you all for your work and care <3For making an appt, I was able to get one sooner by checking the online system everyday as opposed to calling in. I would recommend doing both and getting whichever appt is earliest if you need your passport urgently.

Believe all the good reviews. These people are amazing! It felt like pre covid times. The minute I got to the door the officers were so jovial and cracking jokes in 50 degree weather. Inside was the same. Every employee was kind and funny and efficient with their job. I needed a same day passport and it was processed in less than 20 minutes. No joke. I got lucky lol. I had all documents ready.

Very well managed facility ( compared to other government departments). There is plenty of free parking available. The security guards are polite and efficient. The clerks at the windows are helpful. The numbering system works well and moved fast.If you forget a photocopy, they will do one for you.All on all, pleasantly surprised

I arrived at 6:10 am for my 7:00 am appointment on a Monday morning. You must have an appointment to enter the office. There’s free parking in the back of the building. There were 8 people in line already waiting by the public entrance. The security staff is very organized and explained everything prior to entering the building. This is a federal building so they are strict with searches. Make sure to have proof of your flight.. they will ask for the print out. Have all documents ready for the process to be smooth. I paid with a card and there is no processing fee (for a renewal and expedited fee it was a total of $190). I was out of the building by 7:15am. There’s a little coffee cart outside the building selling coffee for my fellow coffee drinkers.

I recently had a remarkably smooth experience at the Los Angeles Passport Agency, and I'm thrilled to share my insights for those planning a visit. To begin with, calling their service number at 5 am Pacific time (877-487-2778) proved key - don't forget to wait on the line (not a call-back) and opt for a 7 am appointment when given the chance.Upon arriving 30 minutes early on the appointment day, I found myself leaving the building by 7:36 am, a testament to the efficiency of their process. It's advisable not to overburden yourself with belongings, as a security screening precedes entry. When leaving, you'll be provided with a date for passport pick-up, usually between 1-3 pm. While it's recommended to arrive after 2 pm to avoid crowds, my arrival at 1:18 pm still resulted in a swift exit by 1:48 pm, even with a seemingly long line. For a hassle-free experience, make sure to bring:- Appointment confirmation email on phone - Completed and legible passport applications- Previous passports (if available)- Original birth certificate- Black and white copy of the birth certificate- Driver's license or government-issued ID- Black and white copy of both sides of the ID on a single page- Passport photo- Proof of international travel within 14 days (I used a hotel confirmation)- Payment methodI can attest that the staff is friendly, and the overall process is far from intimidating. This information should prove invaluable for anyone facing anxiety about the unknown. Best of luck to fellow passport seekers!

Had an appointment at 7am on the 11/20 to turn in my passport application. Spent about 3 1/2 hours there including my hour drive there and back. The next day (11/21) I was scheduled to pick up my passport at 1pm. Then they call me at 7am telling me to come in at 11am because “I” forgot to sign the passport. NO. Your new agent forgot the most important freaking part. He never gave me the oath or anything to sign. He was new and you can tell because he was asking his coworkers for help. I had to drive 1 1/2 hour there and got there at 11am. Spent 11-3pm there. Fun! Totally have the time of the day to be spending there. Then my two hour drive back home. This was easily preventable if the new agent had someone to guide him. This is unacceptable. I was gone from 9:30am-5:30pm because of this dude not knowing how to do his job right. Do better. I had to cancel appointments to do my nails and got delayed to pack.
