Had a great experience obtaining funding for an auto loan with Dana! From start to finish including the car shopping and loan process experience, Dana was knowledgeable and professional and made the process easy. Overall happy with the experience!

I was taken care of by Dana Miller. Probably the best customer service experience i've had in my life. She was extremely diligent, patient, empathic, and fought hard to ensure that my needs were taken care of. She responds quickly to emails and constantly provides updates without request. USC credit Union really showed me what it means to be Trojan. They really came through for me when all other institutions turned me away.

Very poor financial institution. I have posted reviews in the past and nothing seems to change there. They are the most incompetent in customer service. Their staff do not listen and do not follow through! If you need a replacement debit card, good luck! They will tell you its on the way and then never send it. You will have to personally follow up with them when it does not come as expected and sit on hold for long periods waiting to reach someone to discuss it. Their management seems to follow in the same way. They will also tell you they cant overnight a debit card and suddenly seem to miraculously be able to when you question their mistake. Of course this is all just my wife and I's opinion, based on numerous poor experiences.

3rd Auto loan with them. The process was easy and quick. From online pre-approval to check disbursement took less than two days. All of it was handled online. Special shoutout to Dana Miller for a wonderful customer experience. After pre-approval, I spoke to her on the phone at 10 AM the next business day to start auto-loan paperwork and by 4 PM the dealership had the check. 100% recommend working with her.

Came back as an alum to help open an account for my parents. Had to wait almost 2 hours to be seen by a banker when we had arrived as soon as the bank was open and we were the first in queue. Asked a banker sitting at her desk- later found out her name to be Karla Rodriguez who had no intention of getting out of her chair to help. After several attempts in asking for her help which she also confirmed she would reach out to someone who was available, I eventually had to go to a teller to get assistance. Absolutely ridiculous and would never come back to this branch again.

I have been on hold for 30 minutes trying to reach the cu. How is this acceptable? The cu has gone terrible. I've been a member for 20+ years. Very sad. Interesting that you can respond to a honest yelp review but I can get through the phone line. The way you can help is have customer service pick up calls. I was on for half an hour and had to hang up. 3rd try today, still can't get through. Scary when these people are holding your money in the event of a disaster and you can not reach them on a normal business day.

I just got a HELOC at USC Credit Union, they are so professionals, I really recommend this institution for your financial needs. Thanks to Andrew Navarrete, Guillermo Monterrosa and Naci Fisher, they are a "GREAT TEAM"

You have gone down. I uesd to live banking with this bank. Now to get things done i have to jump through hoops in order to get anything done. I feel sorry for the people who work this customer service. This is making me want to close this account.

Been a customer here over 12 years so I know it well. In recent years things have gone down hill. Consistently rude customer service, incredibly slow processing, takes a week to hear back on something that should take at maximum a day, bureaucratic mess where you never deal or talk with the same person and have to start over each time, and get different answers from each of those people, incompetence, condescension, no interest in customer retention, a bizarre layout and check in process at the branch itself... They have poor follow through, they say one thing and do another, and I have been treated poorly many times. I'm excited about closing all my accounts as soon as I can. They have not maintained the right to keep my business in any way.

This organisation is so bad, it's beyond description. My most recent misadventure (of so many I couldn't possibly count) came this weekend when, having just made an international move, I went to the local grocery store to shop for the week only to have my card declined and absolutely no other means of paying for my food for myself and family. This is my only US card and US bank. Thankfully, kind strangers/neighbours have been willing to offer us their food, having not even met us yet - we're that new to the neighbourhood. In short, I have been reduced to introducing myself to my neighbours and the asking them for food! Simple and humiliating as that. USCCU won't be open until tomorrow afternooon as I am on the east coast, and my children won't be going to school because we have no lunch to pack them. We're all in tears and yet again wondering why I do business with this organisation. I have been warned by several family members to get my money out as soon as possible now that I am in the US and will certainly be attempting to do so tomorrow. I've also been warned that USCCU holds on to account funds as long as possible, so am preparing for another battle. What else is wrong: 1. Every time I need to ring USCCU I am disconnected after a substantial time waiting on hold at least once but often more; 2. I was told, "yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm past that", by a staff member when he clearly misunderstood me and I tried to re-explain my circumstances to him; 3. There are no less than 18 security steps involved in sending domestic wires; 4. They charge fees for both sending and receiving wires; 5. Online forms time out before they can be completed carefully resulting in the need to start the process over; 6. I literally have to take the day off to send wires as they insist on calling you twice, at random, throughout the day to verify your identity. I do not have a desk job and this has proven a thoroughly miserable process; 7. Should you miss the call, there is no way to simply call back and speak to the same person, which usually results in my wires being delayed a full day more. I read a review before writing this one that reads so similarly to my experience that my heart goes out to all the people too exhausted and frustrated to be bothered to write their own. I look forward to sharing my experience of severing all ties with USCCU shortly.

USCCU has finally broken the straw that’s made me realize I need to close my account for good.I disputed a transaction with a retailer (an airline) that admitted they did not render a service to me. Despite photo and email proof where the retailer’s customer service agent clearly stated the service was not rendered, USCCU refused to allow a chargeback.I have accounts with Chase and Bank of America, two big banks people always say are terrible. But I’ve only had stellar customer service from either. This would’ve been a slam dunk, no doubt case for either of them.Meanwhile, USCCU has been a broken, sinking ship for years and I stayed on due to some strange loyalty being an alumnus, but it is only a credit union in name. I even tried to get a quote for them on a car I purchased last year… BOA beat them! Their software is outdated, their app useless, their customer service agents only available 9-5 M-F (you are SOL if you have any problems outside of this window).Seriously guys, you’ve been warned.

5 stars isn't enough, but it's all that Yelp will allow. From start to finish, and via email, phone, or in person, every part of my experience with USC Credit Union was top notch. In fact, they far exceeded my already optimistic expectations. I was a new client who needed to secure a loan with no time to waste, and it would not have been possible if the entire team at USC Credit Union wasn't the best of the best. I know, another 5-star review riddled with superlatives. But dare I say, words aren't adequate to convey how awesome they are. Only an experience for yourself will do!

I'm slowly getting more and more disappointed with USC Credit Union and questioning why I am jumping through hoops to keep my account open. As great as their loan APRs are, Robert Yuniskis's terrible service makes me question whether I will ever apply for anything with them again. DON'T TALK TO YOUR CUSTOMERS IN CAPSLOCK ALL OF A SUDDEN. It's pathetically immature and unprofessional. I had to jump through hoops to get a new debit card after falling victim to fraud. Most banks have one number that will take care of blocking the fraud and then sending you a new card. With USCCU, I had to call multiple numbers. A long time ago, they had you set a key phrase when logging onto Online Banking. This is never shown as part of authentication in recent years. Imagine my annoyance when they insisted this as an integral part of validation. Thank goodness I remembered it. Seriously, why can't you just text me a code to my linked phone number like... any other company out there right now for multi-factor authentication? It seems the $5/month fee for gold checking if your checking account balance dips below $750 is gone for new account holders. I thought it was for all account holders, but nah, I guess I can go f myself for being a longtime account holder? I swear I'm not going to tolerate continued poor customer service and terrible policies. I'll go use a big bank if I want to be screwed.

An update on this update: I'm free at last! Just received an email this morning that all of my accounts were successfully closed with USCCU. In the 14 years I've been banking with USCCU, it's been nonstop disappointments. Some highlights below: -When I wanted to set a new pin for my USCCU debit card following a breach in a credit bureau, I had to physically come into a location to do this -When traveling abroad, USCCU's debit card was eaten by an ATM machine due to suspicious activity (yes I'd put an alert on, didn't matter). Thankfully my Chase debit card saved the day. -When purchasing a new vehicle, USCCU's interest rate was higher than BOA's. I've been a customer of BOA for an equal amount of time and was able to lock in favorable terms because of it while USCCU gave me nothing -The app is absolute garbage and the website is just as bad. Archaic and more complicated transactions require you to visit 3 inconvenient locations only open 9-5 on weekdays. I know credit unions can be a great alternative to big banks, but USCCU is a credit union in name only. There are no upsides to being a member (favorable loans, excellent customer service) and only the downsides of a bank with no branches, no 24/7 support, and more. The amazing news is that my credit also went UP once I closed my account here. I'd let that stop me for so long. Don't let it stop you! Today's the day, you'll never feel freer than when you leave USCCU behind. --------------- Updating my review to share that USCCU has finally broken the straw that's made me realize I need to close my account for good after 13 years as a customer. This is a decent bank when you're a student with no credit making minimum wage. This is not a bank for alums. I disputed a transaction with a retailer (an airline) that admitted they did not render a service to me. Despite photo and email proof where the retailer's customer service agent clearly stated the service was not rendered, USCCU refused to allow a chargeback. I have accounts with Chase and Bank of America, two big banks people always say are terrible. But I've only had stellar customer service from either. Meanwhile, USCCU has been a broken, sinking ship for years and I stayed on due to some strange loyalty being an alumnus, but it is only a credit union in name. I even tried to get a quote for them on a car I purchased last year... BOA beat them! If you still don't believe me, take a look at the customer service manager answering Yelp comments. Notice how they only respond to positive feedback and ignore negative comments? That's because they literally do not care about you as a customer, only about patting themselves on the back. Seriously guys, you've been warned.

Both Darrell Bates and Monique Flaulk were outstanding in their helpfulness in completing an auto loan. First, for days, there was a glitch in the operating system for my initial membership and Darrell took the time and was able to solve the problem by contacting the right people. Then, Monique was able to work with me on an urgent matter and help push my loan through. She even worked with me on a holiday, knowing my situation was time-sensitive. Both were calm, informed, explained my options, personable, and made me laugh a little in a stressful situation. I am very grateful for the skill, knowledge, and amiable manner that both Darrel and Monique brought to the table. I hope they both receive a fat raise!
