Both of my kids went there. Definitely a very responsible and loving school. They are teaching through play and activities, which both generates great academic results and builds strong characters

Our family love UPNS. The teachers are very friendly, dedicated and watch over the children. There are many good parents, and we often have playdates with my daughter’s friends from this school on weekends.

We LOVE UPNS! Our family was so lucky to find this UCLA affiliated pre-school. Both our kids flourished here with caring, nurturing, long-time staff. The facility is secure, the classrooms and playgrounds provide an optimal indoor + outdoor learning environment. Play-based and developmental. Best-priced pre-school in L.A. The genuine care provided to students is truly what makes this a special place. UPNS has been our kids home-away from home. We are most grateful!

UPNS and everything about it -- from the intelligent, sensitive, and fun teachers to the idyllic play areas to the parent community -- make it our favorite place in all of LA. I am grateful to them for the ways they helped us and our now 2nd grader grow, and am over the moon to bring our 2 year old this year.

All 3 of my children attended UPNS and it is a wonderful school. The thing that makes UPNS unique is the sense of community. Parent participation is required, which is great because it gives you a chance to get to know the other parents, the other students your child is associating with, and the teachers. Parents are required to "co-op" -- volunteer in their child's classroom monthly -- so you get to see what your child is doing and how your child interacts with their peers and teachers. It's a play-based school, where your child learns about numbers and language through fun, play-based activities (building, art projects, cooking, music, etc.) rather than through traditional academic lessons. UPNS did a great job preparing my kids for kindergarten. The teachers are not only sweet and loving with the kids, they are very experienced and the majority have been at UPNS for many years. Since COVID, they have been very diligent about following all of the recommended procedures and have implemented procedures such as free weekly COVID testing for students.

Both my daughters went to UPNS, the super nice teachers, taking good care of the children. Also teach drawing, dancing, encouraging team work. They had fine and love to go to school, that is a sign that they are doing things right!

UPNS is an absolute gem! The UPNS teachers are above and beyond what we could have ever hoped for. Living farther from family, it was important to us to have other adults in our daughter's life who genuinely loved, nurtured, and sought to help her grow. We have found exactly this in the UPNS community.
The teachers are passionate about teaching children and creating an environment that fosters growth and confidence in all of their students. The play-based lesson plans and activities are always well thought out and are something my daughter gets excited about every day.
Over the year, we have seen her grow exponentially in ALL areas, but most importantly in her social skills. She has blossomed into a confident four year old who can (now) speak up when something is wrong, sing solo in front of her class, and is ready to take on the next adventure. We are so thankful to have found such an amazing community at UPNS!
