This is your sign to book somewhere else!You do NOT save here. If you are reading reviews to see if it is worth booking with this establishment - it is not worth it! Book somewhere else. Seriously, from one family just trying to enjoy a trip to another - this place ripped us off big time, was a huge headache, and we wish we could’ve spent the extra money elsewhere. Objectively speaking, you’ll literally pay more here than if you book somewhere else. Also, be prepared to wait a minimum of 1 hour in line only to be charged twice the amount that you booked the vehicle for online.We found U-Save through a third-party site and decided to try it out despite the many negative reviews; this was a big mistake. We booked online and were quoted $278.06 for 8 days. When we arrived in person, they charged us $725!! Huge scam.A few days prior to our reservation, we received an email that informed us that U-Save does not take insurance that is issued outside of America. Being from Canada, we decided to call them to see how much they charge for insurance (which they require you to have and is NOT optional if you rent from them); the woman on the phone informed us that it would cost $20/day. We figured that this was still a reasonable and cost-effective option. However, upon arriving at the location, we had to wait an hour and a half in line only to arrive at the counter to be told by the employee that the insurance alone would be $55/day. He said that the customer service telephone line typically gives out “wonky” info (his words, not mine). The car rental itself was supposed to be $27/day - this means their mandatory insurance was more than twice the amount of the car rental.We read some reviews but decided to take the risk by going through with our reservation - huge mistake. If so many people are willing to take time to leave poor reviews for this company, then odds are the company is pretty bad. Don’t take the chance. You’ll save more at a Hertz, Avis or any other major company.I honestly feel really bad for the employees here because you can tell they’re so fed up with customers who are upset about getting ripped off; I hope they decide to work at another business with some more integrity.

After 11 days they haven’t deposited back my $1000 deposit!!! And today I randomly got a $62 charge. I had to take two buses to get there from LAX. Then wait 1.5 hours to get through the line. I’m fighting now to get my deposit back. This company is also the same as u-save! Garbage- cheap for a reason! Customer service is no help!

Worst company ever. Do not rent cars from this company, they may be a little cheaper but is not worth it . They will add you stupid extras and will end up paying double then what you agreed online

The worst company ever. They will scam you and make you pay more than what it cost. I beg you not to come here. I got a jeep for “30 a day” Ended up 50 a day and he said “ i thought we were on the same page” very very unprofessional and low life people work here.

They have sent me several emails for informations but nowhere mention about "they do not accept other insurance companies and high busienss class credit cards".I am a busienssman and have all car rental insurances on my credit cards. They charge on isurance was more than the charge of mcar.The car was so dirty and I had to clean all the windows by myself otherwise I was not able to drive the car at night.The car had Navigation but they disabled the navigation.The staff were so rude and not professional.

They are trying to scam me. Please be aware that they are very unprofessional and probably the workers hate their job because it is written their face and the service. Never coming back! They clearly deducted the money and lying they never got it. Their company name is clearly on my back transaction and confirmation email!! Super predatory behavior!! Save you some mental peace and do not book from here.

Do not rent a car from here! I had to wait in line for over an hour then when it was my turn they said I was an hour late and they had given my rental to someone else!! I told them I had been waiting in line for over an hour and they said not their fault and now I would have to rent a suv and pay full price cause they gave the car I had originally rented away because I was "late". seriously such a scam the customer service was awful!!! Do not rent from here!

hey will take your money and charge your credit card for anything even if you didnt get anything t be charged for like i was charged for an upgrade fee which i wasnt upgraded and then i was charge for a early check in pick up of car when and why would they do that ive never heard of a car rental place charging additional fees for picking up your car rental a few hours earlier than reserved. then returned car 3 mins over and they charged a late return of $101.00 after the fact it states on there rules and regulations there is a 59 min grace period , what kind of business is this. Its SCAM written all over . Trying to take peoples money it may be cheap when you reserve it but to be honest they will get you once you sign your agreement and make any excuse to take more money so i warn everyone. Rent with a reputable rental car company beware of USAVE and GREENMOTION. and there Customer Service reps are horrible . while trying to resolve situation they said they couldnt help me there only in customer service. (ISNT THAT WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES ?? HELP THE CUSTOMER RESOLVE THERE ISSUE!!!!!) BEWARE BEWARE WHEN YOU THINK YOU GOT A DEAL RENTING FROM THEM YOU DONT CAUSE THEY WILL CHARGE YOU AT TIMEOF PICK UP AND DROP OFF MORE THAN RENTING FROM A HIGHER CLASS RENATL COMPANY!!!!

Why can't I put 0 star and have to put 1??We rented a car through Booking with U-Save in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We arrived at the counter for the Agent (who could not care less and was so rude - side note, this is completely unusual in PR and has not happened to us anywhere else on the island) to tell us that they did not have the car we had booked. And no car at all to replace - in any category. And again, could not care less.We lost more than 5 hours at the beginning of our vacation trying to find another car from another company and then had to wait there to actually get a car.We will never rent from them again and hope that this comment will help other NOT to choose this company.

These hidden charges included insurance fees, fuel surcharges, and even administration fees, significantly inflating the total cost of the rental. It felt like a deliberate attempt to deceive customers and extract as much money as possible, leaving a bitter taste in my mouth.Adding insult to injury, the rental dates were completely mishandled by U-Save Car Rental. I had explicitly booked the car for a specific period, providing the dates during the reservation process. However, when I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I was informed that the rental dates were incorrect in their system. This error resulted in unnecessary delays and inconvenience, as they had to scramble to find an available car for the correct dates. It was an unprofessional and disorganized approach that wasted my time and caused unnecessary stress.Furthermore, the customer service provided during this entire ordeal was far from satisfactory. The staff members I interacted with seemed indifferent and unapologetic for the mistakes made by the company. Their lack of accountability and unwillingness to rectify the situation only added to my frustration. It became evident that U-Save Car Rental prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction.In light of these experiences, I cannot in good conscience recommend U-Save Car Rental to anyone. I implore potential customers to seek alternatives that prioritize transparency, reliability, and customer-centricity to avoid the hassle and disappointment I encountered.U-Save Car Rental's unreasonably high extra fees, incorrect rental dates, and subpar customer service have left me deeply dissatisfied. I strongly advise against using their services, as they do not uphold the standards expected from a reputable car rental company. Lester did a great job and got me in and out quickly. It was a great experience. He was very patient with me as I had to wait to get my funds in order for the rental. I highly recommend using U-Save and going to Lester.
