A breathtakingly beautiful temple as well as the surrounding area. So much artistry and detail in every square inch of this awe inspiring place of worship, and as I understand it, open to many patron deities and even bodhisattvas. Be respectful!

A very nice temple that worships 媽祖 (Mazu), 關聖帝君 (Guan Yu) ,福德正神 (Tu Di Gong) ,觀音菩薩 (Guan Yin),地藏王 (Kshitigarbha) ,佛祖 (Buddha) and my favorite, 虎爺將軍 (Hu Yeh, "Tiger General") ! It's beautifully decorated inside and very clean/organized. It's become my favorite temple to visit! There is a place to burn paper money, to ask for 籤運 (fortune message sticks) and various other services. There are a few worship items that can be purchased as offerings at $5 per item, cash only. The friendly staff there speak Vietnamese, Cantonese, Mandarin and English. Parking is really easy during the week. There is a designated parking lot and also street parking (with meters). The current operating hours are different from what's indicated on Yelp, so check the hours listed on the photo that I shared.

Not exactly a Buddhist temple. It’s a goddess temple for people in oceanic fishing communities

Hello everyone. This is a wonderful temple to visit. If this is your first time here, just ask the staff for help, they are friendly and knowledgeable. Parking is limited, so you might have to pick from other parking locations around the area.Thank you for reading my review. Please follow me on Google maps and check out the places I visit.

This temple is very big and very beautiful. I was amazed at how well decorated it is. I feel like I have traveled to China or Japan because of its decorations, is awsome.

The temple is well maintained and cleaned. Thiên Hậu temple is a very place among our Asian families to visit during the Lunar New Year. The place gets extremely packed and you will need to find parking outside the temple near midnight. There will be lion dance, firecrackers and donation boxes for flowers. The incense pack is free near the front door, make sure you walk the whole place so you place an incense at the right location. It's a huge tradition to be here during Lunar New Year for my family, and I hope you enjoy this place as much as I do.

In 2023 Chinese New Year, I drew the lucky tag at the Los Angeles Tin Hau Temple. On the first day of the Lunar New Year, which is also the day when Chinese people flock to incense to pray for lucky tags, we went to the incense-rich Tin Hau Temple to offer the first high incense for the 2023 Chinese New Year! I prayed for my family to be safe and healthy, and for everything to go smoothly and for my heart to be fulfilled I drew an auspicious top sign which reads: Big field, many marriages, everything will be salty and prosperous, which will seem to mean that my land and property will increase again this year !

Always come here to pay respect to buddhas. There is ample parking space by the temple during non-busy occasions.
