This is a fascinating store. Housed in a beautiful old building, it is packed with thousands of books, records and merchandise. There are some really rare and special books in separate rooms (one of which was formerly a safe or strong room). You can sell your books and vinyl to the store too. It's really very special and very different to any store I've visited before and is well worth a visit.

An absolutely wonderful shop to visit and take some time to look through. Well organized, and even easy to maneuver through if you have to use an assistive device.This one is a must see for every bibliophile out there!

Fun place to visit, a ton of character, and while the name is a slight exaggeration, they are indeed one of the few independent bookstores left. Make sure to wander both upstairs, downstairs, and the rare book room for the full experience. And hope you don’t mind dusty books!

Today, I encountered a challenging situation at the checkout counter. Despite the difficulties, I have chosen not to rate this experience as one star due to the fact that the store had the book I was seeking. I believe in finding silver linings in adverse circumstances. The cashier who assisted me was a young woman of Caucasian descent. Unfortunately, she did not offer a formal greeting and handled my purchased items aggressively. She also moved my belongings without permission and made threats of involving security if I did not vacate the premises. This behavior was unexpected and unsettling, as I have never encountered such treatment at a bookstore before. I observed similar mistreatment towards an African American gentleman who was in line ahead of me. It is important to me to adhere to the principle of delivering constructive feedback. Consequently, I feel compelled to caution individuals of color about the discriminatory behavior exhibited by this particular employee at the store. This encounter left me feeling quite perturbed.

Really cool book store! They also have vinyl.I only had 30 minutes to look around but they have a massive selection of books of all genres, new and used, art installations and couches to chill on.Wish I had longer to look around!

A nice and unique place with a lot of character. You can find books (obviously), a coffee shop and art vendors as well as art on its own in every room. Many areas for photos and spaces to sit and read.

I went there because I had time left, but it was just a pretty bookstore and there wasn't much to do. There were chairs on the second floor, so I sat down and took a rest.
