There may be one worker for every 100 customers here. Always a line to check out of the single open register. Today I went to pick up an online order, thinking that might spare me from the hour long checkout. But alas, a single person working the customer service returned items of two people for over 25 min. When I asked a different worker if I could just pick up my already paid for order, she responded "I'm doing something else right now." This place is a terrible customer service example and you can bet you'll spend your whole afternoon here for even a simple purchase.

Alright, so I swung by Target in West LA, and let me share this story. In the midst of navigating the aisles, I couldn’t help but notice this absolutely stunning woman who happened to be part of the lost prevention team. She wasn’t just ensuring the security of the store; she was doing it with a kind of beauty that stops you in your tracks.I mean, picture this: she moved with this effortless confidence, all while maintaining a watchful eye on everything. It wasn’t just about the job; she elevated the whole atmosphere. Target West LA, you’ve got more than security; you’ve got someone turning heads in the best way possible. We come here once a week as it's in the neighborhood. I always use the bathroom, it's not far from the pharmacy. I have to give it to them for selling Hanukkah items; I did a photoshoot with the items for my mom's facebook friends. At least we Jews get a minor section in Target during the holidays, I'm proud of them for standing up for us. Represent!

Newer store, and well stocked with necessities. The west side needs more competition among general merchandise outlets. If Amazon takes over by delivery of these items > it'll be a sad day for the browse and buy consumer.

This Target is the worst. EVER!!!!!!! I was in Santa Monica and thought well Target is the same everywhere but to my dismay NO not all Targets are the same....I always try to be fair but my goodness l found the experience horrible. Please hire competent pleasant associates and stock your shelves!!! Just awful!!!!!!

I love this Target. It's not a massive store but they have everything essential and they stock up often so you can assure their products are fresh. Their aisles are neat and the store is clean. I still prefer in store shopping compared to online shopping. They have some of their stuff in the closed shelves which would require me to ask for associate. They were attentive and quick. If there's a wait I don't mind they don't take that long. I would rather wait a few minutes than waiting for an item to be shipped online. Also they have no problem price matching with any retailers.

I am SO SAD to write this review because I have been loyal to this location for two years. Great to be able to park underneath and it's bigger than the other Santa Monica locations. But the last 4-5 times I've gone, there is only one employee checking folks out so the line for everyone with alcohol is so long. There is always one self-checkout out of order, and you can always spot an employee sitting on their phone behind the counter not doing anything. My biggest issue is that they don't have baskets anymore so your choices are to use a big cart (most are squeaky) or hold as much as you can. I'm assuming the constant staff shortage is due to Target not being willing to pay living wages to keep up with living costs so I'm not even mad at the employees bearing the brunt. Do better, Target!

why do they even HAVE a phone number??? they never answer the phone and when you walk in you see why. three staff employees are sitting on the closed check out stands just talking crap. These "new" satellite Target stores are beyond useless. never stocked. spoiled fruit. ridiculous to navigate with or without a cart. I walk up to the check out stand to pay for my item and just then the employee decides he has a quick errand to do rather than processing my purchase. I'm not making any of this up. Initially I assumed target doesn't provide a training period then realized how wrong I am! Target, without a question, must be training the staff on how to be ineffective, be even more ineffective and told them, "When the phone rings that means you DON'T answer it!"

Absolutely rude unfriendly service giving condescending looks saying they were out of the item I came for and then when I asked if they could call another location they waved their scanner at me and said these don’t call people. So this will be my last time ever going to a Target ✌?

2nd visit 04/04/23The self-service associate looked at me several times while I was in line with the large trash can. When it was almost my turn, the self service cashier (approximately 6' tall, curly hair, and I believe wearing glasses) came towards my way and moved a small cart to the opposite direction. The cart was not offered to me. When I walked up to the self service register. Your self service associate intentionally walked from the self service area to a male associate in a other area at a register nearbyThey were observed cutting their eyes towards my direction acting as though they don't see me so while the self service cashier appears to be gossipping whe doing soSince my last experience at this Target was unfavorable, I thought I would give this location another try, but go through the self checkout insteadI was hoping to come home relax and have a good experience at thisTarget to no availAnd then your self-service cashier tried to tell me back and forth he didn't see me wrh thatarge trash canPlease management look at the cameras and you can see what and how your self-service cashier treated me and ignored me and even got another cashier to join him. And then while I'm talking to the self-service cashier asking for his assistant, the other cashier comes over like he coming to protect the sales associate from a midde age African American woman who just came into your store for that great experience you advertise aboutThe cashier on March 27th 2023 at 6:29 p.m. a meaningless, unsatisfactory customer service experience. He gave me the receipt with his head turned away from me talking to his associate. I was not thanked, I was not given direct eye contact, and it felt as though my patronage, at 11840 W Santa Monica, Target, was not appreciated nor needed.

One of the worst Targets I have ever seen. I did find the low review score a head scratcher (a Target is a Target, after all) so I had to check it out for myself. Literally, this place has nothing in stock. It’s a brand new Target but with nothing to sell, just empty shelves galore. Really don’t waste your time coming here

The employees here are rude to customers by day and terrorize the neighborhood by night. A weird mix of middle aged men and teenage girls that work here are always out in front of my apartment after their shift until 2-3 am on weeknights. They are loud obnoxious and up to some gross and illegal stuff

This store sucks. They never have anything. How do you go to a store 3 times in a month and they dont have lighters or pens ? Why do the shelves look no different then the last time when there wasn't anything? Rediculous...
