We love this sweet little school! We were so nervous transitioning from having our daughter at home with a nanny to being in school full time but Liliya and her staff were so kind and patient. This warm and inviting Montessori environment did wonders for our child. We love seeing her in a class with kids of all ages, and have seen a marked improvement in her skills, knowledge, and confidence.

What a great school, my daughter has been attending Sunset Montessori Pre-School for two years now and is blossoming. She is learning so much from the dedicated and attentive staff. The school provides a very safe, fun, and educational environment, can't recommend enough!

My son started at Sunset Montessori when he was 3 years old and when my daughter turned 2 she joined as well. Both of my children loved it from the start and thrived there over the years. Hidden behind a large gate and tall lush greenery this place is true gem. An adorable story-book house welcomes children through a cute porch into a light and bright learning and play environment. Both outside and inside the school is meticulously maintained. The rooms are large and bright, with mellow colors on the walls and wooden floors (no dirty rugs YAY!!!)). All the shelves in the rooms are always clean and thoughtfully organized. You will never see toys or learning materials shoved and piled on the shelves, but rather arranged in order and by theme. You will also not see junky plastic toys, but rather wooden and high quality educational materials that were chosen with purpose, knowledge and care. The outdoor area has a beautiful wooden deck and a large shaded playground with plenty of outdoor toys and structures for kids to climb play with. The teachers are all very pleasant and are Montessori trained. They also have worked in the school for many years, which is a great sign. The owner Liliya is very approachable and kind. She is always there to assist with anything one might need and to answer any questions. She makes the environment warm and welcoming every day. I am a mom of 3 littles 4years old and under...and to say that Liliya saved some of my days is an understatement - be it an extra change of clothes or a forgotten lunch, she always had my back. On many occasions I would walk into the school and she would personally sit next to the student and guide the child through the assignment. I also loved the discipline that she practices with all the students. The children are all encouraged to finish their assignments and to put their materials back in order on the shelves once they are done. I was amazed at the language that my children brought from school - any toy or game that my kids would engage in at home they would call their job and clean up - their responsibility. We also loved the program at school. There were numerous art projects, creative assignments, coloring... you name it. The academics are presented through Montessori materials and in a very effective way. Children has gymnastics, French and yoga. Also they practice some singing and performance art in preparation for the seasonal school performances. The kids are being read to daily and the school has a goof collection of both picture and non-fiction educational books that children quite often explore at the end of the school day. Given that the school is in Hollywood, safety was one of the biggest points for me and my husband. However, it was never a concern when our kids were there. There is a tall green iron gate with a security guy in the front that leads to a circular driveway where parents park and walk their children through another gate with a code and only then through the porch to the front door of the school. Both the school and the playground in the back are properly fenced and the brick walls are beautifully painted with different animals and flowers. My children made a lot of friends through birthday parties, school events, holiday get- togethers and Halloween trick-or-treating. The parents also got a chance to hang out and have a great time. This school is a great community!

Our daughter has been attending Sunset Montessori since she turned 3 years old and it's been a wonderful environment for her. She comes home and talks to us about all of the varied and amazing things she's learned each day and is thriving in a Montessori environment. Ms. Liliya and the teachers Ms. Zena and Ms. Jessy are wonderful with the kids and the extracurriculars are a great bonus, especially the performances. The school is so organized and clean which always makes me feel better in the era of Covid.

I am so thankful for this school and their wonderful staff. Having a baby during the pandemic made me concerned about how my daughter will do at school. Mrs.Liliya along with her great staff (Ms.Jessy and Ms.Zina) made the experience for us and my daughter incredible. They helped with an easy transition where we did half-day and then switched to full-day. In just a couple of weeks I noticed my daughter come out of her "shy" shell. She's way more verbal, creative and independent. The school is clean and organized with the real Montessori environment. They learn dance, yoga, ballet, French and art throughout the week. Even the security guard makes every day easy where he helps with drops offs and pick ups (when it rains, he helps escort kids to the classroom with an umbrella!). My daughter at 2.5 was saying "good bye mommy" with a smile at drop off which only brings me joy that I am leaving her somewhere where she's thriving. It's been a great experience !

Our (almost) three year old son has thrived at this school, thanks to Ms Liliya's organization and attention to detail. During the first part of the pandemic, we were a little concerned that our son was too isolated. But the team at Sunset Montessori helped him evolve out of his shell. Our boy loves all the teachers -- and has a special bond to Ms. Jessy. My wife and I really appreciate that this school follows Montessori principles but still offers a ton of flexibility (since he was only 2 when we started, we wanted to be sure to keep him at half-days, while many other preschools in the area want kids to be full-day only, even at young ages.) As others have pointed out, the school is very clean and well-maintained. It's been a great environment for our boy and we are thankful he's there.
