Absolutely thrilled with my experience at Summit Ski and Cycle! Jason and his team provided phenomenal service from start to finish. Jason, in particular, went above and beyond to help me find the right gear. He was incredibly kind and patient while I tried on helmets, goggles, ski boots, and other equipment. His explanations were thorough and tailored to my needs; he provided detailed insights on the type of gear I’d need based on the specific resort locations, terrain, and snow conditions I’d be encountering. It’s clear he has extensive knowledge and experience in skiing, and he generously shared that expertise without ever rushing me.
What stood out was Jason’s genuine care in recommending the best fit for me—not necessarily the most expensive option. He even pointed out gear that was more affordable than what I’d initially considered, showing he’s more interested in customer satisfaction than pushing sales. I was also very grateful that he honored a military discount, a small gesture that made a big impact and showed respect for veterans.
Having lived in Colorado for over five years and skied all my life, I can confidently say that Jason and his staff are some of the best I’ve ever encountered when it comes to ski knowledge and customer service. Their reputation speaks for itself—there were skis lined up out the door, and every customer I saw was as thrilled as I was, singing the praises of Summit Ski and Cycle. From getting my skis tuned, waxed, and sharpened to the excellent guidance on gear, the entire experience was top-notch.
This place is a true gem in LA, and I couldn’t be more excited to have found it. I highly recommend Summit Ski and Cycle to anyone in need of exceptional service and knowledgeable staff who genuinely care about their customers.

Terrible customer service. The only guy I've seen in there on 3 separate occasions has nothing but attitude. Their rental business operates on a first come first serve basis. But you can't get a clear answer from them as to when to show up. They say deposits open Tuesday at 10. But Tuesday at 10 they "don't have anything back" and won't let me put a deposit. When I ask the dude to give me a straight answer on what the best time to come back is he goes off on me for having attitude when all I'm trying to get is a straight answer. They broke the cardinal rule of business, don't make it hard for your customers to give you money. If you need the equipment to be returned in order to size for rentals, you should set up your business so that you receive all or most of your rentals on say Tuesday, you clean, inspect, maintain your inventory, then open for rentals on Wednesday. If for no other reason than to be able to give your customers a straight answer on when to come back. I really wanted to give these guys a chance, they're a small business in my neighborhood. I gave them multiple chances despite their rudeness and their ineptitude. But after being yelled at for having the nerve to ask for a straight answer I was done. I immediately called another place, albeit further away, and was able to not only get a straight answer on their rental process, but they also had available inventory, and were much more friendly.

Small, family run business. Mounted my bindings for my skis. Took one week (they'll do less if you wanna pay for a rush order) they did a great job, and cheaper than doing at REI or otherwise.

Awesome shop. Friendly and fair. Spoke with Jason- cool dude! He gave me an honest opinion on a scratched/cracked snowboard (top sheet) and actually recommended against paying for a needless repaired. Solid shop!

I went here to get my ski bindings mounted and they did a great job. The reason I am taking off a star is I added for just a binding mount, detuning tips and tails and anything else I needed to get the ski ready (which I guess was a bit unclear on my part) but on the receipt when I picked the skis up there was an extra $30 charge and the ski had a machine wax done on it, which I was planning on doing myself and not get charged for. I also asked for the skis DIN to be at a minimum of 6, but the person working there refused because their calculator said 5.5, which I understand for insurance reasons, but most other ski shops I have been to would set the DIN ti be custom if I signed a waiver, or if I handled the screwdriver myself.

Went to get my breaks calibrated, got some new tires, and not only was I charged more than when I dropped it off, but the breaks were worse than before and the guy ensured me they wouldn’t slow me down. Once I made it home I flipped the bike over to check and they slowed down almost immediately.I calibrated it better myself than he did and i shouldn’t have wasted my time.

Ive been going to Summit for 30 years, Hands down this is the best ski and bicycle store. Staff is friendly, great prices and great work tuning up skis or bicycles. Look no further this is the place!

Waxed my board. Fixed a gash, and sharpened my edges. Rides damn good now! Going on 3 months now, and the board is still in great shape, the work they did to it has held up just fine! And I ride my board really hard, and on rough terrain sometimes. So they did a great job on my snowboard repair, and anything I need in the future I'll be coming back.

Incredibly nice and helpful!! I had a bolt come out of the bottom of my clear while on a ride and he gave me a new bolt and checked both my shoes free of charge! Will definitely be coming back here for all my bike needs!
