On May 1st, I attended a grand opening for the Santa Fe Lofts newly designed rooftop featuring the art of James Peter Henry. The party featured a DJ, lite bites and drinks. James Peter Henry's artwork hung in rooms on the roof and off from the deck and his custom painting the exterior walls were bright and celebratory. Additionally, I was impressed with the bi-level deck that had easy access stairs on either side of the second level that offered and an unencumberedd view of DTLA and LA in general. The was a comfortable sofa area with fire pits that offered warmth to those attending and added a bit of flair to the overall look of the environment. Chairs and tables with conveniently on both levels to make the most of the leisurely vibe created by Straight Designss. It was visually stimulating and inviting at the same time. There were a number of hero pieces that caught my attention, like the white hanging chairs and a red ottoman that offered a place to take a moment off of one's feet were beautifully designed piece of furniture. Straight Design's approach made the rooftop space more flexible and customizable for different experiences for different events. The string of lights overhead filled the night with warm and unobtrusive lighting that made mingling and conversations more inviting. It was a great evening put together by Heidi Johnson to highlight the space and James Peter Henry's artwork. Straight Design's rooftop looks only made the event more special and more amazing.
