Excellent excellent place one of my favorite places to shop. My favorite items are to find books for my library and it seems like on a weekly basis. Very very good books come in for the subject that I study. I’ve purchased many different items at that store over the years you never know what is going to come through that door, amazing amazing service people are friendly great atmosphere music is always playing and I encourage everyone to make this a regular stop for their shopping. Pleasure couldn’t love them place more.

Poor customer service the guy that is always there is really rude doesn’t try to help when ask for questions he always looks mad like if he’s bothered makes me feel like I was there to steal the way he be looking to see what u doing don’t recommend at all!!!

I've been going to this spot to thrift for years and I gotta say that even when i don't find what I'm looking for originally, I still end up finding something I wasn't looking for at a good bargain and just as cool. You get to know the owners for a while little by little, their respect and service keeps getting exceptional. If you know how to thrift, you know there are successes and misses, but Son of a Vet is still a fun place to find whatever attracts your interest and amusement.

Clearing my parents home was a huge and overwhelming task, and this job seemed endless. Anyhoo... Sons Of A Vet came and cleared the house in 4 hours. They are friendly, reliable and professional. I highy recommend to those who need the help! Thank you Son of A Vet!

I really wanted to like this thrift shop. I had been following their Instagram account for a few months and finally made the trip from the OC to check them out. The selection of items isn't what I thought it would be from their IG account. I am giving a few stars because I did find a couple of items at good prices. I'm hoping that I went on an off day and maybe if I wait a while and come back, the selection will be better. I do like to give places a chance.

A lot of stuff for pretty cheap, but it was a little grimy in there. They have lots of stuff other than clothes--a keyboard, old postcards, buttons, knickknacks, etc.

When I lived in El Sereno, 3 years ago, Dawn and I practically lived there. I lived a couple of blocks from the store. I so love this store and miss it terribly. Loved the guys. When I visit home I will definitely be shopping. I can't imagine all the great finds I've missed. Would love if they had online shopping. A wish list maybe? Read some posts about the guys not being so friendly. I thought that too at first but they are good guys. Just got to get to know them. They warm up.

This shop is a grab bag of all sorts of things. From vintage furniture to partially used household cleaners, lightbulbs, used tools etc.Some items are a steal, while some items (although cheap) are priced a fraction too much for wear and tear. You have to be ready to be discriminating but there’s so much to find, and the hunt is half the fun.
