We held our wedding at Smogshoppe in September 2024 and it was such a special day! First off, the venue is super cool and has all the elements we wanted for our casual, vintage-y, outdoor LA wedding. Both the outside and inside spaces are filled with cool decor and furniture that the team were flexible in setting up in a bespoke way based on our preferences. For a late afternoon/early evening wedding in early fall, the lighting outside was beautiful during the ceremony and cocktail hours, and it just all around made for amazing photos (our photographer also loved the place!)
The whole team are also awesome - professional and positive but chilled at the same time. From booking, to planning, to working with our other vendors and coordinator to make sure our day went smoothly, the whole team were organised, really communicative and incredibly friendly from start to finish. They were always so responsive to our endless questions and were so cool and prepared for anything and everything. We organised our wedding from the UK and they were incredible in reducing the stress.
If you choose Smogshoppe for a wedding, ans are looking for a coordinator, we also would highly recommend Falon B Weddings. She is so good, very reasonably priced and knows the Marmivon venues inside out. You will be in double safe hands!

The team at SmogShoppe was fantastic to work with from start to finish. Their communication was prompt, efficient, and incredibly helpful as we planned our wedding. The venue itself is so unique, with a fun and photo-friendly vibe that was perfect a laid-back wedding. Dana offered great suggestions and expertise to help us craft our idea of what our wedding would look and feel like, and the on-site staff were responsive and effective in executing everything seamlessly on the event day. We had absolutely no complaints - the venue was the perfect choice for us, and the entire SmogShoppe team was as friendly, helpful, and professional as we could have hoped. We're so glad we went with SmogShoppe.

I had the pleasure of planning and coordinating a recent wedding at SmogShoppe, and let me just say this venue is such a vibe! Working with Dana, Clare, and the rest of the Marvimon team again was such a joy, as they always make the whole planning process a breeze for myself, the bride and groom, and everyone involved in the big day. The venue itself is so unique, eclectic, and has a ton of character that little to no decor is needed. Even still, the clients and I had a lot of fun personalizing the setup to create a fun and unique vibe that highlighted their personalities on their special day. If you're looking to host your next celebration at a one-of-a-kind venue that's far from your standard hotel ballroom—you've found it at SmogShoppe!

The best thing I did for my wedding was have it at SmogShoppe! From the moment I walked into the venue to have a site visit before booking, I knew that it was going to be the perfect place to host our wedding. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding venue they'd ever been to, and I have to agree.
Smog has so much character (greenery, flea market shelves, furniture, etc.) that you really don't need to add too much if you don't want to, and it looks like you've done so much. It just comes like that! They also have so many little cat details, which my husband and I personally loved as we have two cats.
Everyone I worked with at SmogShoppe/Marvimon (Dana, Clare for planning; Em and Sam on the day of) was just amazing. Each person was so helpful, considerate, knowledgable, and just fantastic to work with. Even though planning a wedding is stressful and hard work, everyone at SmogShoppe makes it so much easier by being there for you every step of the way re: the venue. Their preferred vendors list is amazing - I booked almost every single vendor off that list and couldn't have asked for a better team. The location is great - so close to downtown Culver City, which is such a great part of LA for visitors with all of the things to do. If you are considering hosting your wedding at SmogShoppe, do yourself a favor and book it! You won't regret it.

We got married at Smogshoppe on 10/28/23 and could not be happier with how our day went! From the first time we stepped foot into the venue we knew right away that it was the one for us. It is gorgeous!!! Throughout the planning process we had only been there during the day, but I couldn't believe how Smogshoppe transformed into an even more magical space once the sun went down. Dana and Clare were fantastic, and our day could not have gone smoother. One fantastic thing about Smogshoppe is that it is so popular, every vendor we hired (and probably every vendor in LA) is extremely familiar with the space and knows it inside and out. This made our planning process 1000x smoother and easier on our part! And since they are so extremely experienced, all communication was transparent, the staff responsive, and everything regarding the booking and planning process is down to a science. No surprises. Just by looking at pictures you can see that it is gorgeous and has so much beauty and character on its own, but there is enough room to really customize the space and make it truly unique to your day. I can't recommend Smogshoppe enough!!

We had our wedding at SmogShoppe this past August and we are so happy we did! The space is amazing, the Marvimon team aced it, and we had a blast! The Marvimon team is great to work with, they are communicative, understanding, and fun - they do a great job of hyping you up for your event. We're still hearing from our guests about how much they loved the venue and never would have guessed an old automotive shop could become such a beautiful event space. We loved the eclectic look and feel of it all, especially all the greenery! I would recommend leaning into the look of the SmogShoppe, it has a personality all its own. I was worried we would hear traffic the whole time but the high walls really do separate you from the main street and block the sound. They have a great team of recommended vendors that made our lives so much easier, and all of them were the same fun vibe that we were hoping for. Definitely recommend hosting your event with SmogShoppe, and I'm sure the other Marvimon locations are just as great!
