I am a current resident of this building, and I have been trying to reach the management department for two weeks, but nobody responds! I need a utility bill with my name and address on it because my job requires me to provide it. I have tried calling, left voicemails, and sent numerous emails, but I have received no answer. If someone knows how to reach them, please let me know because it is very important!

The maintenance team here moves at light speed during regular and emergency hours. I have had only basic requests, but they are communicative via the online app and I very much appreciate that.

Just finished moving this week! So glad! I love my new place. I worked with Dao throughout the process and despite my own stress with the move, she was always helpful and kind in the process. Thank you so much. I am looking forward to enjoying my new home and being part of the community. The view is amazing from up here!

Jonathan was very helpful and patient with my move . He tried everything possible to accommodate my living situation back to Los Angeles . He also went above and beyond in personally showing me other apartment options . Keep up the good work Jonathan !

Very disappointed experience even before moving in.
I’ve been waiting for apply for my apartment for June. Despite the raise for parking from $75 to $150(in one month) They raised the rent right after I showed my interest in applying. And website would not allow me to pay for the application, until they raised the rent.
This was the worst experience.

I lived in Bunker Hill Towers for around 4 years. I used to absolutely love Bunker Hill, to the point where I somehow convinced 2 of my coworkers to move in. Eventually they moved away, but I remained loyal. However today, I am living happily in a different apartment because Bunker Hill quickly went from amazing to awful in the blink of an eye.
The biggest problem with Bunker Hill is they closed off the package room near the entrance, where security would hold all the packages for residents to come down to get. They got fed up dealing with packages and decided to just have all packages deliver to doorstep. This normally would be fine, however the local USPS absolutely *refuses* to deliver any packages to the apartment doorsteps. So, if you ever get packages from USPS, I hope you enjoy driving to China town to the prison-looking USPS facility with homeless people sleeping in their lots to pick up your packages. Every. Single. Time. People obviously complained and management responded by telling us to just deal with it and... rent a locker for packages...? Yeah, ok.
There are other things that are super annoying with the apartment, like the leasing office literally never being at the actual apartment so if you need to talk to them in person about anything, good luck. It's just frustrating dealing with an apartment where the management clearly just don't care about the tenants at all anymore. Oh, also there was a murder in the apartment a year or so back. Given how it happened, it was probably unavoidable by the apartment, however good luck explaining that to your parents/loved ones if they find out. Also Bunker Hill has almost no good grocery stores/restaurants within close walking distance, so you'll need a car to get any of those things or you'll be paying for a lot of delivery. Lastly, the cockroaches. I know you don't want to hear this, but all downtown apartments probably have cockroaches in them. However, Bunker Hill had a LOT of cockroaches. I lived on the 5th floor so I would take the stairwell, which they would never clean because nobody takes the stairwell, and I would see 4-5 new dead cockroaches on the ground every 2 weeks or so. So yeah, lots of cockroachs in there, I would really avoid this place if that sort of thing is a problem for you.
All in all, Bunker Hill used to be a pretty amazing apartment for the price, but has quickly gone downhill. The package situation alone is a huge dealbreaker unless you somehow live without relying on getting USPS packages at all, but there are just so many other apartments with similar rents which I guarantee you will be much happier living in.

Dao and Jonathan have been super helpful in my transfer from my current studio in their complex to a two bedroom apartment. Dao has been super attentive with answering any questions I have and assuring that all the logistics were dealt with so the transition to the new unit would go off without a hitch. As far as the apartment complex goes, you’re not going to find a better bang for your buck when it comes to convenience (if you work in DTLA), appliances, views (if you get one of the higher floors) and I’ve found it to be one of the safest areas when it comes to living in DTLA.

I’ve been living at Skye Bunker Hill for six months, and it truly feels like home. The location is ideal, offering easy access to anywhere in Los Angeles within 20 minutes. While the building itself is somewhat dated and could benefit from some renovations, the maintenance team is consistently present and does a great job keeping the premises clean. One of the standout aspects is interacting with Dao, the community relations representative. Dao is always helpful, providing thoughtful solutions and insights rather than just rushing to conclude our conversations.

Update: 4 years later and I dont recommend this building anymore. Service requests are answered, construction projects unfinished everywhere. No onsite management and the remote office doesn’t answer calls or reply to messages. There is a lot of crime in the building!! Security service is a joke! Stay away. Not worth the price!
So happy to be living at Bunker Hills Towers! The whole Essex team is amazing! Specially grateful to Michael Brown (working in another building now), Monica Suh and Joe Maintenance Supervisor - you guys are amazing!! Highly recommend this building!
