The owner and management (Avenue 5) is absolutely terrible. I've lived in this build for close to 10 years and they have zero respect towards upholding the living standards of residents. Don't be fooled by the rooftop pool picture. They are absolutely horrible at communicating. Their offices are constantly closed and it's because they are terrible at their jobs leaving many residents absolutely furious.The utility is evenly split now since the new owner took over and it actually doubled my bill. They are very quick to charge you a late fee when it's their fault for not checking the drop box for rent, and they also secretly slapped on a $5 rent service fee on a monthly basis. Pray tell, what service am I getting for paying rent exactly?They didn't take accountability for the broken gate for the underground parking and many residents had their catalytic converter stolen saying they are not reliable. Well, we're paying for a GATED, private garage, and the gate was left wide open for months allowing opportunities for thieves to come strolling in. Tell me how they're not at least partially reliable.They do not offer emergency services. For instance, my smoke detector is going off and I can't even reach it because it's so high up. There are no ladders for me to rent from security below or other accommodations.The constant flooding and water leaks are an issue throughout the entire building. I won't be surprised if the foundation has been damaged.They did not tell a single resident about packaging now being moved to these new lockers or create a system of what they'll do if the packages are too big for the lockers to contain them. It's an absolute logistical hell since they implemented this change.

This is a slum. OMAR SOLIS leasing consultant is the worst leasing agent I’ve ever dealt with/seen. OMAR SOLIS Looks like he rolled out of bed from a 3 day bender. OMAR SOLIS Does not know how to do simple accounting and then keeps tenants money. OMAR SOLIS is the liar and thief. Do not deal with OMAR SOLIS or move into this building or you will regret it.

I would give this management company a zero-star rating if possible. Avoid living in any property they manage, especially in their downtown portfolio, like Thurman Lofts. I've experienced extreme unprofessionalism and communication issues with them. Despite being a good tenant with a clean record, I was wrongfully sent an eviction notice, which they had to cancel after I provided proof of payment. Thurman Lofts has gone through four management companies in a short period, and since the building's sale, numerous issues have arisen, including non-functional elevators and unusable amenities like the pool, spa, and gym.Despite multiple emails, management has not responded to me in weeks.The previous management, FPI, was finally getting things in order. Avoid all SB Buildings and Thurman Lofts – terrible service!

Very frustrating experience, I had in building. It’s disheartening to face issues with the elevator, communication, and administration services. As a long-term resident I deserve better treatment. Unfortunately, my formal complaint &several letters to the building owner or property management company have gone unanswered, and my legal rights regarding habitability and premises maintenance have been ignored. The elevator (specifically the call to the 7th floor) has been out of service for five weeks, and repair requests and emails remain unanswered. The lack of transparency regarding building management and repairs is concerning. I hope your situation improves soon, allowing you to enjoy a better living experience.

Management for SB buildings. No matter who's the manager (I've seen 4 management companies in the past year) meth labs, squatters, water leaks, illegal casinos and DJ night club neighbors that rage til 10am still persist. Stay clear.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. My experience living in this building has been an absolute nightmare, mostly due to the horrible management.From the day I moved in, I was greeted with a slew of issues that were never resolved. The management team is shockingly unprofessional and rude. They have consistently failed to respond to my emails and phone calls, and when they do, their attitude is dismissive and uncaring. When I expressed my concerns about the issues I was facing, they would brush me off or tell me to deal with it myself.The overall condition of the building is also a major issue. It's not uncommon to see overflowing trash cans, broken elevators, and malfunctioning security systems.the noise levels are also unbearable! The walls and ceilings are paper-thin. This has made it almost impossible to get a good night's sleep or concentrate on work during the day. Despite numerous complaints to the management, no action has been taken to address those issues.I should have read all the negative reviews before moving in, my mistake. I would not recommend this building to my worst enemy . The lack of concern for tenants' wellbeing, coupled with the poor upkeep of the building, has made my experience living here truly miserable.Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a better living situation.

if you want to pay thousands of $$$ for rent every month to live in a so-called "luxury" building - go ahead and sign a lease here - just know that the "management" company gives zero f*cks about its tenants. be ready for some major mold, roaches, broken doors, squatters and a ton of HUMAN FECES outside your door. enjoy!

Do not move here! I repeat do not live here this building has the worst management they dont care about their tenants at all!!!!! They dont respond to complaints! Packages get stolen by workers and there has been break ins! Also the city is going to come in and make sure the units are habitable because of constant complaints and the building not doing anything about it! I didnt have hot water for 2 weeks my toilet wasnt working for 2 months and theres roach infestation

This apartment complex has WAY TOO MANY issues to post, probably why they omit them lol. The elevators are 60% of the time down, the LAUNDRY ROOM should be labeled ALSO SAUNA, AND ROACH MOTEL. 50% OF THEM don't work but take your coins. And the smell of some of them... So much for "CLEANING YOUR CLOTHES" Theres no ventilation in the hallways of this HUGE complex, the apartments have no shelves in the ONLY CABINETS they offer. The walls are paper thin, (we are newly weds wink wink ?) The "GYM" could be described as a knock off brand and the pool is getting worked on LIKE THAT is important... not the laundromat. The Security staff at the door IS AMAZING AND SUPER SWEET. I love them ? The rent is due on time but DON'T expect anything YOU NEED OR REQUIRE FIXED with the same result.Good luck.

Very nice apartment, studio, loft, and Penthouse style homes. Spacious and conveniently located downtown LA. Is on main bus line and a few blocks from the metro train station. Food, retail clothing, night life, on street parking, pay parking lots, and mini markets are all within a block walking distance. Thurs thru the weekend are busiest.

We pay 3000 a month to stay here only 1 elevator works . Our bath tub takes hours to fill up . Can't relax and take a bath when we want . Oh and we have 2 of them . . Don't even have a washer and dryer here the light in the hall way was never installed since the day we moved in . So when we walk in it's always pitch black . But hey we pay 3 grand a month sooooo worth . There's 1 treadmill in the gym that only works and the sauna doesn't work either. The jacuzzi looks like skid rows best 5 star swamp Haven't been in in the pool or jacuzzi for the 5 months I lived here. Other than that I love my view haha
