absolutely the worst mechanic that I've ever dealt with. I took my Mazda in about a year ago to have all mounts changed. When I got my car back it was an absolute mess. My car starts shaking violently when in reverse and also bangs when shifting gears. All signs of a bad mount. When I took it back he gave me a disgusting look like why the hell are you here. He instantly told me it was my transmission and I need to flush it. Without checking a damn thing. I've taken my car to other places and they all say the mount was installed wrong but I wont go back to this horrible mechanic to even touch my car. Don't be fooled by these comments. This guy is the worst

Sending my BRZ to Naoto was such a good decision! I came in twice. First visit, he installed 1" Tein H. Tech lowering springs and 20mm Noble Performance Spacers on my 18" stock wheels. Second visit he installed new Enkei T6S wheels on my BRZ! He took my stock tires and mounted them onto the new wheels with no issues.I bought and brought the parts, did my research to make sure they would all fit, and Naoto handled everything else when it came to installing them! I love the new look!Naoto is such a friendly and knowledgeable mechanic! He used to race cars back in Japan so I trust him completely with what needs to be done and reccomendations on my sports car.I left all my parts in the shop's garage. Came back a week later and everything was still there ready to be installed. Got every replaced part back, no missing parts, and nothing was damaged. Naoto even sent me images of the progress so I didn't have to wait in the garage for hours. The prices were reasonable. He told me upfront what it will cost and sticks to the price. I needed to pay extra for parts I didn't have, but he told me that from the start that it was going to be a possibility. Also, on another note. My car drives better after all the installed parts! Felt slightly faster, and more responsive despite no HP gains. I was not expecting a noticable difference especially from these type of car mods. But somehow I did.So next visit I asked Naoto if he did anything extra to the car.Naoto never answered my question but he did respond with a nice warm laugh.Service: Tires

I was absolutely shocked to find out how rude the mechanic was here when I took my car in last month to get serviced. He refused to give an estimate for services or an itemized list let alone warranty for what he pledged to do. I will never come here nor do I recommend any others to.

There is one guy ( not the owner ) who recently takes phone calls is super rude, always. Just to hear the way he speaks over the phone instantly makes me decide to go get my car somewhere else. Where has the owner gone? He was professional and attentive, I was always satisfied by his service. Have no idea what happened to this shop, but apparently this guy took over the place and he is ruining the career and history the owner has gained. I am glad that I found it out before I get there and saved my time and money that would have wasted.

Yoo this place is wild. Horrible service and they be stealing parts. Tried to return to give them another chance. Called in politely to ask if theres any openings for an alignment and the dude just goes "no." and hangs up. wtf? i'll take my money and spend it elsewhere. Trippin.

Amazing service! Naoto is truly always there for my car in a pinch, and never overcharges. For years I've been looking for a reliable mechanic for my Prius and I'm so glad I found this place. Made an account just to give Samurai Auto an outstanding review because they deserve it. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Naoto is a amazing mechanic. I have been visiting the shop for nearly 20 years and it is always a pleasure to bring my vehicle in. He is great at troubleshooting and goes out of his way to treat all of his customers with care and honesty.

Naoto is extremely friendly, knowledgable, fair and expedient in his work. He's kept my 95 4Runner and 07 Prius in tip top shape.

Great service, very affordable and he doesn't try to upsell or swindle you. A stand up mechanic; I've already sent a couple of my friends there.

I've taken my car here for years. Naoto worked with Shin, the previous owner, and is certified on Japanese cars. When my former boss had to go to Arizona for his father's funeral he was quoted $250 to get his car serviced from another place. He was driving with his daughter and wanted to be sure the car was okay to drive there and back. I suggested Samurai and they only charged him $48 dollars stating that his previous servicing was still good so they did not have to do much.

How much do we love Samurai? My husband and I both continue to be deeply impressed over the years with how friendly, attentive and responsive Nao is in dealing with our Prius. Whether it's a simple "check this out for me please" or a bigger issue, he is unfailingly polite, exceedingly honest, always smiling and the service and price is insanely awesome. Simply cannot recommend highly enough. #AtwaterVillage.

Update: Shin Ryono retired last year. But don't worry, Naoto is Shin's apprentice and he is a great mechanic. Naoto studied at the Toyota university in Japan. He is very loyal and honest and really bends over backwards to help. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone.

Very nice people!!!! Pure Japanese, expert in any kind of cars, Cheaper than any auto repair shop, Honest to goodness! I brought my car at toyota of Glendale first, because I saw an oil dripping under the engine of my car, and the service guy told me 30 minutes after that the power steering high pressure hose was leaking,, they charged me for $800. And I said that’s too much and I took my car back and driving around to look for another auto shop and I found this Samurai auto shop in fletcher drive in Atwater area, they checked the car and the Japanese mechanic and also the owner said it’s the high pressure hose was leaking, he gave me the price for $300 for everything, I said wow!! This is a lot cheaper than anywhere, the good thing also they’re accepting credit/ debit, or cash if you have more cash in the bank, Excellent!!
