Ross is Ross. They got great stuff but you have to pick through them. Sometimes they're full of wonderful items other times they're completely picked over but all in all I love shopping there I've gotten a lot of great stuff there it's a great place and the people are really nice, but they really rush you through which is kind of good.

When you enter the store, there is a security guide who will be checking your bags but they are quick to let you in. Two floors with women’s clothing on the ground level, and men’s clothing, kids’ toys, and household items are on the lower level. Escalator was non-operational when we went so only stairs were available. Prices are good on the branded products.

It's a real shame today that my wife was left in the elevator and they don't do anything to get her out and it's unthinkable that the workers or the manager don't know how to open it. The alarm button did not work. Thank God I passed by and heard my wife's screams and no one came to talk to her until the firefighters arrived 40 minutes later. If you don't train employees it is better to close that store. The elevator was used because the escalators have been out of order for more than two weeks. We'll see what attitude the city takes.

Your face is scanned by AI when entering the store to monitor your shopping and prevent shrinkage. So once you enter, you have to wait to be scanned and then security will let you in.Racist and rude employees have RUINED the Ross shopping experience for me. I've been shopping there for over 7 years and I noticed AFTER the PANDEMIC their staff has dwindled and is now EXTREMELY lackluster. I understand it may be a difficult location, being in Downtown, however Ross should hire individuals equipped to handle stressful situations properly. There is a young male gay latino manager who simply hates his job and takes his micro aggressions out on customers of color. It makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE that he is in ANY managerial position. Today I watched him throw a fit because he had to clean the stairs, apparently someone spilled something on them and the escalators were not working. This man was LIVID! He needs to keep his attitude at home, because it makes people uncomfortable. He then went around the front counter to take a call. The line was long, but since there weren't any WHITE people in the line he didn't find it necessary to say anything to the waiting colored. We were looking at him wondering if he was going to open a register. I was disgusted at the internalized hatred being displayed to be honest. When it was my turn, I had a question about an already reduced Holiday pet toy, which was missing an additional piece. I attempted to ask the cashier to ask the manager, but before I could even ask she stared to tell me NO. There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for your cashiers to make ANYTHING personal. NO ONE goes to Ross looking to make friends with the employees or even talk to them. She proceeded to tell me what she knows and didn't listen to a word I said. Unnecessary, VERY immature and unprofessional. I told her to allow others to use their own voice and kindly go ask for me. The problem was I didn't know she was going to ask the upset guy on the phone. She returned ELATED to tell me he said NO as well. I felt like I was on an elementary playground, not an adult making a purchase. I even told her to stop making it personal to which she got defensive and facetious...TRAINING IS IMPERATIVE!I don't understand WHY Ross is hiring UNPROFESSIONALS who DON'T want to work.My ONLY POSITIVE experience has been the security guards. They are 100% more professional than the manager and staff. The black KING with some golden dreadlocs, is the BEST EMPLOYEE in there. He sticks out and I APPRECIATE him. He has little experience yet manages to be MORE professional than the manager! TRAIN AND DEVELOP HIM INTO A LEADERSHIP POSITION! HE is an ASSET, the others are LIABILITIES! I advised him to not allow the bad seeds to dim his EFFERVESCENCE!I took my time to write this because ROSS Dress for Less is RUINED for me because OF BAD EMPLOYEES! WHERE DID GOOD SERVICE GO...OBVIOUSLY to Burlington coat factory on the next block I believe!I even called to address this on the phone BEFORE writing this, but THEY DON'T CARE about a black person's review, my complexion doesn't stress them. No apologies, no accountability, no respect. SHAME SHAME SHAME ON ROSS DRESS FOR LESS IN DTLA! GO TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES TO TREAT AS THEY WANT TO BE TREATED! ??

Store won’t allow outside drinks even though we’re paying customers, don’t recommend this place and the Ross makes you stand on a pad for 30 seconds prior to entering as a paying customer. You shouldn’t have to go through a shake down prior to entering.

It is a good store but for this 2023 Christmas season they were not organized very well, so let's say it was very difficult to buy

I received many items from this branch. The security guard greeted us well. The fitting staff clearly explains the process of trying on shirts. The face may not smile at times, but that is not important. The cashier was able to perform his duties as usual. Overall, satisfied.

Never in life had I had to be told to wait before I enter a Ross. I’m not sure what the wait is for but it’s literally 10 seconds. The selection wasn’t that great but I did find a new jacket for a good price.
