ZERO STARS! STAY AWAY from PODS - if you proceed, you’ve been warned! This is one of the worst companies I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with and hope to save other consumers from the frustration, wasted time, additional expenses and ruined move that is a likely outcome if you decide to use PODS for your move. Why?1. Their physical PODS suffer a faulty design, where they cannot be opened if ANYTHING impinges on the door (which happens ofte\n during shipping/transit)2. Their wait times on the phone are WORST in any market: we regularly had to hold for over two (2) HOURS just to talk with someone since you cannot do most functions on their website. And often, hold times were even longer (yes, we were on hold twice for over three (3) hours!!3. Their “support” team is ABYSMAL: so after waiting two hours on each call, the support team was often unable to help out - needing one to three days before they could get the escalation help they need. Why do they need to escalate something with the logistics team when a POD isn’t delivered, or is a day late, or can’t be opened?4. Management doesn’t care about its customers or their issues.5. Lastly, if and when they might offer you a settlement, they try to silence you contractually: And I quote “<all info> shall be considered confidential and not to be disclosed or discussed with any person, firm, corporation or entity, not a party hereto. Without limiting the foregoing, Customer further agrees he/she will not make any and, if applicable, will remove any prior disparaging, negative or critical comments regarding PODS made on any customer review on any internet website, blog, or social media site; any complaint to the Better Business Bureau or other governmental or quasi-governmental entity; or any complaint or report to any consumer advocacy group or media outlet of any kind.***

I used PODS to move all my stuff from a house in Seattle, WA to Los Angeles, CA. MUCH easier than hiring full service movers. The container was delivered and picked up at both locations on the day I had reserved. All my items were in good condition.

Easy, affordable and exactly what we needed. Customer service was great, everyone we dealt with was professional and the communication was fabulous. I would definitely use PODS again, if needed in the future!

So like a number of people PODS cancelled my service unilaterally day of in the window they were supposed to arrive— my house is on a hill which compounds things but I have seen pods on our street before. The cancellation would have been acceptable but they made no effort to reach out to me during the time from my booking to the cancellation. I had to beg customer service for the assistant manager to call me, who was fully obstinate in not accepting responsibility for the lack of communication. After ten minutes of refusing to help me contact the manager he relented. Manager was more polite but shifted responsibility to the booking agent. Seeing the frequency of same day unilateral cancellations on google makes me more frustrated as clearly this is a issue baked into the culture of this PODS center and they do not seem to take initiative to fix. Maybe they will rectify the situation, but I am doubtful.

This POD location is awful. The store manager doesn't know what they are doing. Scheduling is a nightmare. They failed to deliver, communicate, inform, or have a conversation with the client.Because of their PODs failure to deliver within the time frame, I've had to rent a truck, hire help and pick up, and deliver my own goods.Isn't the point and philosophy of POD to minimize the moving process ??!?!?Well, it's not! The philosophy at PODs is really to UP sell you other more expensive products, tell you that you need city permits or other information that cause you to spend more money to get your things from them.It's a shame they pull these tactics!No use this company! It's not worth the hassle or time and cost.

This was my first move using PODS. I will never use anyone else! The cost was a fraction of what other moving company's quoted and it was extremely easy! We did not have any damage to anything. Everyone we came into contact with was very professional and friendly. I had a few questions and the customer service team or the MYPOD app account answered everything. Well done!

They waited until the day of to say Pod was undeliverable to address (they needed 40ft of street parking and needed clearance from city?) and I had to spend an extra 300 dollars to fix this. Should have been addressed the day we booked. If you dont have a driveway and live in the city be prepared to rent a uhaul to go get it.

I had the same experience as all the 1-star reviews here: Pods cancelled my shipment the day it was supposed to leave with a bogus claim about a missing form I’d submitted six months earlier. Luckily I had an email acknowledging that the form was received, so they promised “expedited shipping” (a lie, it never happened), and a 25% refund for my troubles— then only refunded me 15%. They still haven’t delivered my container. They’ll lie to you, then lie again to placate you, and then keep on lying. Unbelievable.

They cancelled delivery last minute (hour before scheduled delivery) over the phone and driver could not provide reasonable alternatives for delivery. Manager was asked to call me to discuss options but never did. Instead, delivery was rescheduled to 2 days later without any other options (only notified by email), which of course disrupted my plans that had been made weeks in advance around this POD delivery (moving cross-country). Upon arriving at my new home without my furnishings from the POD, I had to rent a moving truck, drive to the HQ where the POD was being held, unloaded my furnishings into the truck myself (including MY BED!), and drive back to unpack and move into my new house. I was not reimbursed for the rental truck and the dispute claim email said PODS found "no error" in how they handled the situation. I would give 0/5 for the poor communication if I could. I would NEVER recommend using this service to anyone, and I will certainly not be using PODS again.

Terrible experience. We chose PODs because of the long-term storage to destination, but they are so much less qualified and professional than a full-service moving company. They overcharged us repeatedly, provided inadequate and rude customer service when this was brought to their attention, didn't deliver to the final destination (which they informed us of on the morning of the move), and repeatedly failed to provide us a full transaction history/receipts for our account. I would never use this company again, nor would I ever recommend it.

Avoid at all costs. Have been trying to schedule my pods to be delivered for over a week and they can't help me do it because of a "technical issue". They have no way of overriding this and they basically have our belongings with us having no way to retrieve them. There is no manager to speak with and the representatives you speak with have no ability to schedule drop off if their website isn't working. This is verging on fradulent/criminal if there is no resolution or path to getting our pods scheduled.

I WILL NEVER USE PODS AGAIN. This was the absolute WORST experience, and if I could give them negative stars I would.It's already a hassle having to move across the country (I moved from Denver to LA), and PODS made it 110x worse. It was not communicated to me that there had to be a seven day delivery period, so my stuff was five days later than I had planned. I had to call four separate times and spoke with four different reps. None of them helped me, and at one point, a customer service rep not only kept me on the phone for an hour but then ADDED $300 to the cost. There was no space for PODS in my apartment building, which would have been fine, but then the driver was half an hour late OUTSIDE of the delivery window. I had a moving team waiting all day and they charged me extra because PODS was late. To add insult to injury, my TV broke in the move. I have tried contacting PODS via email as well, and the customer service rep STILL did not help me with the incorrect charges. To charge me almost $2500 for this "service" is a joke. At this point, PODS owes me money for my broken TV and the extra time I had to pay for the movers because they were late. -1982837298293847382929328748393 stars
