This store has fresh high quality products without synthetics and I like that this store offers daily packets of individual mulitvits as well as in powdered form. It has been very hard to find daily packets of multivits at any local nutritional store. As a teenager I was usually very deficient in iron, folic acid, etc however I became health conscious in 1984 when I was offered a job in the juice bar at Peter Gillham's and after taking the mulitvits I noticed that my nails became long and strong and I was generally healthier. I used to prepare Mr. Gillham's favorite drink called "Bohemian Protein Drink" with pineapple coconut juice and delivered it to his office upstairs on the corner of Catalina and Fountain. I have become very inspired by Mr. Gillham's knowledge of health and nutrition that I'm educating my boyfriend on nutrition and I plan on cleaning out his cupboard of cheap bottles of generic vitamins and replacing them with Peter Gillham's multivitamins. I would like to continue to be supportive of this store even after 38 years. PS,, I am also kind of relieved that the store attendant that worked there in 2015 has moved on and is no longer smoking cigarettes near the entrance of this store .

Fantastic place for QUALITY vitamins & nutritional supplements. Prices are unbelievably affordable compared to most places in Los Angeles, CA. I waited about three months before I actually did a review here because I wanted to finish the vitamins I had already been taking and then start taking the ones that I had gotten here at Peter Gillham's. And now I can write a legitimate review based on my experience of not just the vitamins that I have been taking but also my experience inside this store. The first thing I noticed was the "Mom and Pop" feel which I love - it was personable. The friendly lady at the front helped me immediately as soon as I asked for help. Now, I bought the bag of multiple vitamins in packets (and some additional supplements) and they turned out to not only give me the best price - I actually got quality vitamins here - I take these daily and I can totally see the difference in my skin and well-being. I see that they have been in business for decades. It's no surprise why - they want to help people be healthy without cleaning out your pocket book.I share this new-found business with anyone interested in a healthy body and won't be going anywhere else.

It's really frustrating to want to support small businesses that can't seem to get themselves together. I looked up the products that PGNC carried and their hours both on their website and here. Showed up to buy multiples of numerous supplements and they were closed at 1pm on a Saturday when Google, Yelp, their website, their answering machine, all said they would be open. Guess I'll get back online and either find another mom & pop wellness shop or just order from an internet store.

I was visiting from out of town and forgot to bring some of my supplements so a friend of mine recommended this store and I have to say this supplement store is so much better than some of the big chain supplement stores I've visited in the past. The staff was extremely welcoming and super helpful. The staff member I spoke with was really knowledgeable and seemed very genuine in wanting to help me find what I was looking for and not just trying to sell me product like many other supplement stores I mentioned earlier. I recommend this store to anyone looking for friendly and helpful staff to help with any of your supplement needs.

Nice improvements - name reverted back to Peter Gillham, outside repainted, new labels and branding from Peter’s Choice to Peter Gillham’s Nutrition Center. New products on shelves such as Balanced Body Essential - daily vitamin packs, flavored calcium-magnesium, etc they also have organic ice cream!
