I received two bags for Christmas. One hot and spicy and one regular. No one in my family will eat it as it has the taste and consistency of a piece of wood. It is so crunchy and splintery you immediately want to spit it out. I do not recommend.

They shipped my order to another state somewhere, and will only issue a refund if the recipient returns the beef jerky. In other words they have screwed me out of $36.49 for their mistake. Avoid these people as they’re business model is built on sticking it to their customers.

I grew up surrounded by dairy’s and farms so I know amazing old fashioned jerky. I scour the states for the best of the best because I cannot stand all of the additives. The Old Fashioned Beef Jerky package was worth the price and my only complaint was THE SALT! Way too much. The bag had a 1/2 inch pile of sea salt at the bottom of the bag and sure enough, I had to brush off each piece. Once that was done, it was perfect!

My grandparents were cattle ranchers and I am very familiar with beef jerky. This is probably the best beef jerky you can buy. Very high quality, real, traditional beef jerky, without the artificial ingredients.

Very mediocre jerky, ordered six different types and they range from spicy cardboard to plain shoe leather. Not impressed will not order again.Edit: downgraded my review to one star once I saw the moldy piece.

I make a mean sugar-free beef jerky, maybe the best, but sometimes I don't have the time.Hence, I began my journey to seek out quality sugar-free beef jerky, which ultimately led me to People's Choice Beef Jerky.Rather than spend 7 bucks for shipping, I opted to buy enough to qualify for free shipping. I ended up with 1lb each of the Old-Fashioned Original, Old-Fashioned Hot and Spicy, and the Carne Seca, and a 4oz bag of Sea Salt and Black Pepper mini-sticks.The mini sticks are ok.The rest of it is awesome!Hot and Spicy is not too hot.The Old-Fashioned varieties are a bit dry (as stated by them), which I didn't think I would be a fan of, as mine tends to be rather moist. Moist beef jerky is great, and so is People's Choice Old-Fashioned beef jerky even though it isn't! (But it isn't crazy dry or anything, just drier than a lot of the sugar filled name brands.)The Carne Seca is a bit moister than their Old-Fashioned, and definitely my favorite.All in all, I would, and will, purchase again; just not the mini sticks!

Haven't been to the store yet but I buy the Carne Seca - Limón Con Chile on Amazon and this is one of the best jerky products I've come across in a long time.I bought one of the flavors before and it was good, but this one has me standing on the street waiting for the Amazon drive like a junkie waiting for his dealer!I highly recommend checking out the product and next time I am in the area I am going to stop in and try some other flavors!

People's Choice Beef Jerky in Downtown LA is a hidden gem worth discovering. While the brand is popular and widely known online for its delicious beef jerky, the new store front provides a unique visiting experience. The store is new despite this family owned business being around for almost a century.One of the best things about the store is the ability to sample the different flavors of beef jerky. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they shared a lot of the history of the business with us. My personal favorite here was the teriyaki meat sticks. They are perfectly seasoned and have just the right amount of chewiness.In addition to the meat sticks, People's Choice Beef Jerky offers a wide variety of beef jerky flavors, including classic beef, hot and spicy, and peppered. You can find unique flavors such as dill pickle or textures like machata (canivore diet friendly). I thought the prices were reasonable and that the store itself is sleek and modern, with really lovely wooden interior.

The beef jerky is good when the package is made well... some are More fatty while others are a bit rougher. But when you get that perfect thin flavorful slab. It's Heaven. Service has been great with most of the staff who are so sweet. One is a bit rude and accusatory but to each his own.

I'm 75. I've been enjoying beef jerky most of my years. So glad to discover People's Choice some years back. This is real, honest jerky. It isn't cheap but you do get what you pay for.Great job, keep it up!

I cant get enough of this stuff. The Hot & Spicy slab jerky is crack in dehydrated meat form. Its the old school foot long sheets of dried beef with red chili peppers on it from your youth. Its dry but when you finally gnaw a piece off the slab, you chew and chew and your saliva creates that beefy goodness that pushes all the right buttons. I only get the Hot & Spicy slabs. The Teriyaki and Original dont have enough flavor imo and I didnt like the other kinds that were smaller, wetter pieces.I have shelled out well over a thousand dollars over the years on the Hot & Spicy 15 count Big Slab Bags. I give them out as gifts to my friends at Christmas. Think I ended up buying 8 bags for gifts this Christmas as well as last year. Its available on Amazon as well (tho for some reason it ships from Austin, TX) so you can send it to friends/family anywhere in the states.A bit of advice/warning: Do not eat more than 1-2 slabs a day or you will regret it. If you think it burns going in, its way worse if you over do it and eat too many slabs at once. I warned a buddy in Hawaii but he couldnt resist and ate the whole bag in one day. Spent the next two days in the can cursing the Beef Jerky gods.
