Was here for a birthday. One of our orders was 40 minutes late, pretty much arriving while the rest of the group was finished eating. Food is tasty, but way overpriced for the miniscule portions. Not worth returning.

Innovative approach to family style meals if Otium's chefs delighted us.

Great atmosphere. We sat on bar in front of wine cellar. Sweet potato gnocchi was delicious. Salmon tartare tasted great, squash was sweet, and whole grilled fish was simple and delicious. It was romantic wonderful time there.

Great atmosphere in modern design that is warm with a fantastic crew of people working there. You feel at home. And the food, out of this world!Elevated, yet not pretentious, super tasty comfort food that never disappoints! My favorite restaurant in LA!Great job Chef Tim and Team!!

Wonderful food in downtown LA. The only reason I didn't give five stars across the board is because our party of two was seated at a counter in front of the wine room, which meant we weren't able to talk without cranking our heads to the side. After an hour and a half of talking that way, we were incredibly uncomfortable. I would definitely refuse to sit there again. Our server seemed a bit harried and the service was slower than expected for such an expensive restaurant.

I had the grossest brunch here post-broad with my family. it’s pay before you’re seated situation now which was alarming. i wasn’t expecting a cafeteria flex.the restaurant had just opened and it was really dowdy. messy, dusty, sticky.we bought chicken strips for one of our two year-old and they were raw inside. they took it back (no refund, btw) and re-grilled it so that it was charred. we sent it back for new strips and they were so gross when they eventually returned.the burgers my husband and i ordered were sloppy.such a bummer. this was once an elegant, delicious joint.

Came to dinner at Otium post a Sunday concert at the Walt Disney Concert Hall (WDCH) with friends who suggested Otium as our dinner stop and reserved. From the word welcome to Otin, as we walked in the experience was sublime. The seating just outside of the kitchen was amazing to watch. Our server was on point and all the support staff as well. We started our meal with 12 oysters, moved to the Pea Ravioli, then added some Naan bread (so delicious), then moved on to the main of the pork chop with potatoes and cauliflower sides. Finished with the best pineapple upside down cake I have ever had and this will go down as the best dinner I have had in Los Angeles bar none, combined with the ambiance and service, you all knocked it out of the park.

Another excellent dinner. Particularly liked the salmon and was in the mood for some red wine (unusual pairing), for which the sommelier made an excellent suggestion! The atmosphere was great with the right amount of bustle. One minor gripe - the bench seat backs are not as comfortable as they probably used to be due to age?

We walked through the door and the woman and man at the desk seemed confused and bothered, she never spoke directly to me, she kept speaking to the man standing beside her and I waited. Apparently she was in fact talking to me and acted impatient because I wasn't responding. Not positive, not welcoming, not a good start to our evening, most importantly not necessary.

Always love Otium. It's one of the few restaurants I visit regularly because I know they will always have something new and delicious to try. Portions are large and easy to share, many vegetarian options, wine list is excellent, and I love the building, the open kitchen, and the service. The hardest thing is parking, but once you know there is validated parking in The Broad parking structure, no problem!

One of the best dinner places with shareable plates for everyone! We booked this place since we a local concert to watch in the late evening. The inside layout is amazing cozy and perfect for a date night. They even have a wine room with shelves and rows of wine, quite the look!We sat down and got a couple drinks, I ordered an old fashioned and it was delicious, they really know how to make their drinks! We ordered a handful of dishes, appetizers, mains, and some pasta. There were so many items that looked amazing it was tough to say no to any of them.Their plates come out in shareable sizes and are perfect, a little taste of everything and that a perfect way to eat dinner. Everything tasted phenomenal and I truly mean phenomenal. The service was great, they were always attentive and took care of us every step of the way.We even finished with a little bit of desert. A perfect date night.Check this place out, it’s an experience you won’t forget!

We loved sitting on the patio which was soooo much quieter and more relaxing than the noise and bustle of inside. The food was delicious, every bite. And the presentation was lovely. Our waitstaff were fun and attentive without being cloying. It was a great evening.
