Please open earlier on weekends, please? I travel far away and need to trade the train. By the time I’m ready to head back, the store isn’t open. I was there twice, I miss it so much!

One of the most underrated and well curated selection of books in Southern California.

A fantastic, community-based bookstore - unlike any other place in Los Angeles. Everything is really thoughtfully and authentically done here.

This store has the goods! Their selection is constantly stocked with the hard to find books I’m looking for and exposing me gems I’m not familiar with. The owner has always been helpful. They also stock local and independent books and zines which is rad. I love stopping through here just to browse, but I usually leave with at least one new book.

Their hours on IG aren't accurate at all. The only times I've gone in are when I'm randomly driving by and see that it's open. I've driven out when the store was supposed to be open three different times only to find it closed. I've messaged them asking when they'd be open and got no response. The selection is good with a lot of new books but mostly used ones. It's messy and disorganized though and can be really hard to find something if you've never been there before.

Such a hidden gem! Fantastic selection of fiction and graphic novels, as well as political books and lots of other non-fiction. Many used books were greatly discounted. Highly recommended! Support awesome indie bookstores like this one.

Rad, rad, rad spot. Friendly, kind, cool staff. From the contents, you can tell they care about the world, people, and they Get It. I love the zine selection and displays. The surprise bonus — vintage clothing. It’s a pretty paradise. Highly recommend for anyone into reading, art, zines, or fashion. There is SO much to look at, browse, and read here!! Unexpected titles and even Midori art notebooks.

I placed an online order via their website for some zines. After 2 weeks I called, emailed, DM'd them on Instagram but never received a response at all about my order. I ended up having to contest the charge with my credit card company. I'd love to support this business but I don't even know if it is actually open. Definitely be wary of placing an order online. Only posting this because I wish I'd read further in their reviews to see I'm not the only one this happened to...

Unassuming little bookshop with a thoughtful selection! Looking through their collections felt like treasure-hunting--a delightful mix of used and new books, art books, zines. Reminded me a little of Shakespeare & Co Bookshop in Paris. Lucked upon finding this hidden gem, and will definitely be coming back soon!

Their hours are merely suggestions. They might be open, they might be closed. I've been inside once or twice. They were also closed on two separate visits I made during store hours. They have books though so and they aren't burning them or anything so I can't be too harsh. I bought The Anatomy of Melancholy here and that's been a read lol. Read it! Worst case scenario if they're closed when you try visiting just go down the street to Re/Arte. They're another bookstore and they were actually open as they said they would be!

Glad to see they just moved to mission street and not closed down. owner is very helpful and nice. saves my comic and remembers when I ask for it. I like the kids section for my little ones and also the special sections for independent and lgbt authors.

I like the idea of a bookstore in the town/hood but their hours are messy and inaccurate, I've passed by times they're supposed to be open and they just aren't.
