This is the worst bank I have ever dealt with and I have been in business for 40+ years. We had 6 accounts for different businesses with One West Bank with average monthly balance of $89000 each account and we had no problems for past 18 years. Once First Citizen Bank took over, they screwed up all accounts and they have absolutely no customer loyalty or anyone to make any decisions. I gave a check for $2000 on one of our accounts and they refused to pay it because the Bank Name on the check was still One West Bank. I called First Citizen immediately and they told me we have to order new checks for all account at $236 per account !!! I said why am I responsible for that ? We have at least 200 checks left and their answer was " It is not our problem" !!!! I am closing all accounts with them today and transfer $689,000 to U.S Bank. If you ready for this kind of service go to First Citizen Bank... They are terrible.....

Stay away from this bank! Our business account was with One West Bank and while they were not great, First Citizens Bank is much worse. In particular, stay away from the branch on Ocean Park Boulevard. I went in to make a simple small deposit. They wanted my first born! Ridiculous. Most troublesome is all the charges. They charge for EVERYTHING. Even using the night deposit. Soon, I expect they will charge to go in and make a deposit.

After scanning the lack-luster reviews here, and reading the numerous apologies/explanations by one very overworked customer service representative, I was reluctant to try this location, but very glad I did. I was greeted warmly by the security guard who opened the door for me, and was well cared for by the lovely Rosa, who performed a complicated transaction for me without blinking an eye. I like this place. The bank is clean and airy and there is plenty of parking. Everyone has their own experience. Mine was excellent.

It's been a month and I'm still not able to get any of my money from savings or checking due to the ATM taking my card and the customer services telling me that a new card will be arriving so when and where ? it's a disgrace to call this place a bank I'm serious !!

At first the service I received went well, then they had the nerve to tell me my dead relative was the one who stole the money missing from her accounts. Over ten thousand was stolen and her name was forged, but they are doing nothing about it.

Was in a situation where I really needed quarters in a hurry. I brought $40 in cash and they weren't willing to exchange it because I didn't have an account with them. Not a pleasant experience and doesn't make me feel like opening an account with them in the future. As a reply to the response to my post, I merely wanted quarters exchanged for two, $20-bills. Had it been foreign currency exchange, I would understand. Other banks have no problems doing this, in my experience; therefore, if I can be shown that OneWest Bank changes their policy and begins allowing people to exchange money without holding an account, I will gladly take down this negative review and leave a positive review instead.

This bank is the WORST of the WORST...STAY AWAY! They do not serve the community only themselves! The should have a large sign on their doors saying " ACCOUNT HOLDERS ONLY!" I stood in line waiting to get change as I wanted a crisp 50 dollar bill to put in a gift card. I told the security guard that I wanted to get change when I entered the bank he said okay stand in line. With only one teller on duty it was taking a very long time so I saw the branch manager Isabel Jimenez standing next to one of the personal bankers...I simply asked if she could make change and she said no...I had to wait in line....so I patiently waited my turn. When I got to the teller I told her I would like a crisp $50 bill to put in a gift card she ask me for my ATM card...I said I didn't have one. She asked me if I had an account with the bank..I said I didn't...I just wanted to give her two twenty dollar bills and one ten dollar bill...all US CURRENCY..for a fifty! She said she couldn't do that if I didn't have an account with the bank and that was their policy! I told her I had a California drivers license and credit cards for ID and I lived within walking distance of the bank...she said it didn't matter! Seriously...if the bank only serves account holders they should have that in writing on the door...DO NOT ENTER IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT...or NO SERVICE TO NON -ACCOUNT HOLDERS! Why didn't the security guard ask me if I had an account with the bank upon entering when I told him I wanted to get change or why didn't the branch manager Isabel Jimenez ask me if I had an account when she told me to keep waiting in line for the teller! What a pathetic bunch of human beings...mean spirited...as if they took great pleasure in waving their authority over the unsuspecting public! I was considering opening an account with this branch because it replaced the Wells Fargo Bank and it was convenient...but I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS....I will drive miles to avoid them! FYI...I walked down to VONS in the same shopping center and they were more than happy to give me a fifty dollar bill...kudos to VONS for be helpful and understanding in a global pandemic! RESPONSE TO NAVEEN S.: Did you not understand what I just wrote? I thought I made it perfectly clear..YOUR BANK'S POLICY IS TO SERVE ACCOUNT HOLDERS ONLY!!! You did not have to repeat that to me again...I heard it loud and clear after I wasted my time standing in line, announcing my intentions early on and being told to stand in line and wait for the teller...only to be told that your banks policy is to not service non account holders! PLEASE PUT THIS INFORMATION IN BOLD PRINT ON YOUR DOORS so people will not enter your bank with simple expectations only to be admonished for entering your bank without have an account with your bank! Your presence in the community is truly self serving with no reguard for the neighborhood! I guess no one ever told you the old saying "You get more flies with honey"! ...your bank should extend simple kindnesses...your business will flourish!

I agree with the other reviewers. Tellers have an attitude, don't smile and abrupt.

Came here to open an account with my husband. There is a bathroom in the lobby and when I was about to go, a lady chased me and asked loudly “Where is she going?” So according to her, their bathroom is not open to customer due to “security reason”. When you kept your customer waiting for half an hour because of your slow service, rudely stopping them for using your restroom is very professional and kind. How great the service is.

They are polite, but it seems they go out of their way to be unhelpful and bureaucratic. If you're lucky you'll get someone who cuts through the red tape but they are the exception not the rule. I tried to deposit a $20 check -- that was actually from One West -- and it took the teller a good 15 minutes. She kept apologizing saying she was just following rules, and even though it was a straight deposit and i have a lot more than $20 in my account, she still had to go through a ridiculous process of approvals.
