I have been attending classes at the Echo Park location for a few months and I absolutely adore this studio. I have criteria for yoga studios in order for me to attend 1. diversity in students 2. diversity in teachers 3. weekly classes that are donation or no charge to make it more accessible, and One Down Dog checks all of those boxes. They even have classes specifically for different populations (Latinx, AAPI, black individuals, etc.) which I think is wonderful for building a sense of community in a world that can be...hateful.. Every teacher I've been to is different from one another and each fantastic in their own right. I've attended Natalie, Lani, Jess (also the owner), Cindy, and Vanessa's classes and each are great for different reasons. There are a lot of times to choose from, which is great for my crazy schedule, and the front desk staff are super friendly and helpful. Carmen remembered my name after two visits, and noticed when I got my haircut, maybe I'm lonely from the pandemic but both warmed my heart lol. I really can't say enough good things about this yoga studio. I'm usually very picky and I'd give this studio 10/10.

I've been to so many yoga studios in LA through ClassPass. And this one is my favorite, hands down. So much so that I don't mind driving 20 mins to go here when there are studios much closer to me. I love the vibe of ODD. It's very peaceful, and classes are usually small. The instructors always take the time to get to know students and check in with us. My favorite classes are 'Sweat' and 'Fit'. Highly recommend!

This place is EXTREMELY RACIST. I've been scared and horrified for months, that experience haunted me.They don't even bother to act, they don't even bother to do the virtue signaling. They say it clear and loud with a beautiful smile on their faces. If they can't remove my review, they would try real hard to find another black girl, or any type of colored student. They will give her discounts, memberships, and even promise her that she will be a teacher there. All she needs to do is to write good reviews, telling everybody how BIPOC friendly One Down Dog is.White people would happily believe it, and feel good about themselves again.

Love this yoga studio. It's a veritable sanctuary & community within the watered-down, workout-first-breathe-second yoga that LA has come to represent. The teaches are well-trained, actually speak to anatomy in the classes, and are inspirational.

One Down Dog is absolutely the best yoga experience you can have. Working with Hallie Anoff will set a new benchmark for new client care, support and (patience with my 10,000 questions). As a newbie Hallie guided me all the way including connecting me to the best private lesson to get started with Meghan Lastra who is amazing to work with, her classes are so wonderful you will feel like a new person afterward. The culture at ODD is the best I have ever encountered from every person you meet and engage with, they are all super nice, warm, friendly supportive, helpful and happy to help. They deserve a 10 star rating!

I've been a student of One Down Dog for 4 years. I deeply appreciate the community. There's a wide variety of classes and all the instructors bring their own flavor to their classes. Across the board, I can expect kindness, modifications to fit where I'm at in my practice and a moment to center myself. The staff is exceptionally friendly. I'm glad to have this space to exercise my body and release my mind.

I use to go to the studio located in Eagle Rock so I was eager to check out this spot. Parking can be challenging especially since the lot is shared with other businesses. Plenty of free street parking though. Studio is located upstairs. It looks just as nice as the studio in Eagle Rock. Very clean especially since you have to leave your shoes outside. There's a little shop where you can purchase some workout gear. Kind of expensive though, but the quality appears to be good. There's a restroom on the same level and right next to the studio. You need a key to access it and the bathroom was clean. I took the core class. Slow pace. Sometimes I wasn't sure if I was doing it right and it would have been nice if the instructor walked around more often to check on the students form especially since the class wasn't very big. There are more challenging. sweaty classes though if that's your thing. Would I go back? Maybe, but not sure I would do the core class again. They take Classpass.

I love ODD so much, especially now that they're doing virtual classes and I can just pop in for a quick session any day of the week. I've really been into the yin class with Audrey - she's so knowledgeable about the body and this class always works out all the stress I've been storing up. I also love "chill" with Caitlin or Sarit, they're both lovely and each class they teach feels unique. I got really into the "butt" class for awhile and might pick it up again! Lots of variety and great teachers and good vibes at this spot. I've been to a lot of different yoga studios in my life and this is my favorite by far.

Haven't been here since pre-COVID but I feel like this place needs some love. Like the rest of the reviews say this place passes the vibe check. All are welcome! Will be excited to come back and take class here

I have been part of the ODD community for years, attending sometimes often, sometimes with long stretches between visits. Regardless of my spotty attendance, I am always welcomed back with warmth and kindness. I recently returned to practice via the ODD online classes. I signed up for the April Challenge (2021) on a whim and have been so happy reconnecting to teachers and favorite classes (I

I get such a high from all the yoga classes I take! And especially since this pandemic has kept us at home, I have interaction with many yogis through the excellent offerings of One Down Dog online. Online classes encourages others who don't live in LA, even people from various countries join. The trained instructors all bring their individual personalities and music to class. Many instructors specialize in specific areas such as back, pre- and postnatal, adolescents, yin, kundalini and many more. I highly recommend One Down Dog! Sue at javelinaclay.com
