Numero Uno is a fantastic local grocery store with two locations on San Pedro Ave located about a mile apart. I’ve been shopping Numero Uno for over a year when I’m in historic south central LA. Stores are always clean. Produce and dairy products fresh. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location of this post can be a little confusing. What I originally thought was the front on San Pedro and looked closed was the back of the store. Entrance and parking are behind the store.

Terrible Customer Service !! Cashier was rude and lied about cash back policy !!! I attempted purchasing a plastic bag for $0.15 cents so I'd be able to get cash back and said I needed to buy something else !!! I know for a fact she was trying to make my life impossible due to the fact that she was being malicious towards the elder lady that had gone before me!!! I'm able to tolerate a little bit of bold behavior but You respect your elders !!! There's a reason why our Communities are so toxic and considered low frequency areas because of people like you !!! Don't ever disrespect yourself or others at all !!! I took the liberty of taking a picture of You so that hopefully you feel ashamed and embarrassed of your actions and learn that for every Good or bad thing we do that there will be repercussions. You're at work and you should keep your egotistical ways in Your domain !!

Great prices on produce compared to my local Ralph’s and Von’s. Missing a lot of popular American brands, but then of course makes up for it with Hispanic/Latin goods.

Zero stars for this dump! Do not come here! Every single cashier is very rude! They do not have a lot of things like tartar sauce!! Their price says one thing and when you check out it's another. When you tell them hey the tag says this and you even show them the price tag they make you feel like you grabbed the wrong thing. A bunch of idiots that work there not helpful at all. They don't care about their customers. Another thing, the cashier rips the veggie bag to count how many vegetables you got even if you tell them how many. They don't believe you and still rip the bag and touch every single item with their dirty hands. Im lucky to speak 4 languages and one of them is Spanish most of the cashiers do not speak English and it's sad for the customers that cannot communicate with them. The way the employees treat their customers is disgusting!

Cajeras muy despasias. 6 cajeros de enbalde, llevo años viniendo aqui y siempre tienes dos cajeros abierto. No se administra bien la tienda. Si estan biendo que hay fila larga, pueden remediarlo y abrir mas cajeros pero desafortunadamente no les importa que los clientes no quieran regresar. SE TARDAN MUCHO, SUPERIOR ESTA A 3 min

The market is easy to get to. Bus route brings you across the Street They do not stock a tremendous variety of products being their small size. But what they lack in variety, they makeup by providing free Urber rides to your front door. I find this service to be very useful.
