Okay I’ve been going to Shelly for two years now and she’s just the best.
We’ve been doing a blunt bob the last couple years, but today I wanted to try something a bit more organic and layered, and she took my cut to a whole new level.
I think sometimes a desired haircut can be challenging to describe because you can bring in photos of what you kind of want, knowing you don’t have the same hair texture as the people in the photos.
She was able to give me the essence of what I wanted while considering my natural texture. I feel like this cut was customized just for me.

Esther the stylist showed up late to appointment with an attitude and no apology. She is unprofessional for someone providing a service. I did not bother to have the service since I felt bad energy coming from her.

Showed up for appointment early I was scheduled with the wrong stylist. Ok no problem. Esther the assigned stylist shows up 20 minutes late with no apologies with an attitude. No thank you.

I've lived in LA for almost 2 years and haven't found a salon I liked. I searched through TikTok and Yelp to find a reasonably priced salon that could be my new go-to. I finally landed on Nuevo Look Salon and Shelly was highly recommended in most reviews. I called in today to see if I would be able to get a haircut and she was able to squeeze me in. The salon is located in a small plaza and parking was easy to find. Everyone was welcoming and Shelly was such a delight to speak to. I asked for curtain bangs, face-framing layers, and a lot of long layers throughout the back. We got so lost in conversation I forgot about my curtain bangs! Luckily I called in and Shelly was able to accommodate me to come back the same day to make sure I got the haircut I wanted. What I loved is that the whole time Shelly used scissors. I cringe when I see thinning shears and have to ask stylists not to overly thin out my thick black hair. Shelly cut my hair perfectly. Overall, I'm very happy with my haircut and the service and now I finally have a go-to salon. The haircut/style no wash was 40 dollars and more than worth it! Can't recommend Nuevo and Shelly enough.

I started coming here because my aunt and cousins recommended Shelly. I've been here a few times and both my children and my husband have also gotten their hair cut by her. She's very sweet and does an excellent job. As a stay at home mom of two children, it's important to me to find places I can bring my kids while also taking care of myself. Shelly is fast and my 3 year old was able to sit next to me so I could keep an eye on him. She's very patient and kind. I visited her this week for just a trim of some split ends and she did just that. I love that I'm listened to because other stylists will take off more or do a whole lot when really I just needed a clean up. Very affordable and reasonably priced services. Parking is easy! I highly recommend coming in to see Shelly.

I heard about this salon through a friend of mine and so far this is has been my new spot for hair care. Great service by very professional masters, very polite and they care about the customers opinion and need. I like the haircut and treatment of my damaged hair. Looking forward to scheduling an appointment for an upcoming event.

Someone I know from the gym told me about this place years ago and I live close by but for over a decade, I would drive all the way to San Gabriel to see my fav hairstylist Joe. Today I decided to take on Margarita's advice. I am very impressed with Shelly. She is wonderful . I do not have to show any pictures but simply describe what I like in a few words. The outcome pleases me immensely. I She gains a new customer in me now. What took me so long?
