In compliment to my 1 star review of the Nordstrom at the Grove, the staff at this location could not sweeter, kind, professional. Ans go above and beyond. That is Nordstrom service. I'll definitely be shopping here going forward. I love the new "local" concept of the store and the personal touch that having stylists being you items feels like. It's gorgeous. As well. Thank you guy for trying to help me get my order this morning!! I so appreciate it and you all.

I live in the neighborhood and have found this store convenient for safe on line order pick up and easy returns. Four stars for that. However, the storefront has been damaged and boarded up for well over a year and it is a BLIGHT to the street and community. I don't understand why it is not repaired. It is a real eyesore. Please take care of this immediately.

I appreciate you, Rod was extremely helpful throughout everything, exchanges and fitting. Was attentive and had great advice for my upcoming wedding. Great customer service through and through. Easiest part of planning the wedding was this part, thanks again for making this as stress free as possible.

Ladies there need to remember they're just employees and not owners of the store. They act like they're forced volunteering. B** you're getting paid, act like the worker you are and at least smile, if you don't like to smile, go to somewhere where you're in seen like the ogre you act like.

Unfortunately I never leave negative reviews, but after trying to return an item that was given a size too big, the blonde female sales associate was snide and quickly changed her mind in taking my item back because I “wore” it…as in I tried it on at home and realized it was way too big for me. Firstly, when one purchases an item one typically takes the tags off…and for that reason she said she would take it back and proceeds to ask me if I wore it. When I said yes at home she then quickly said she wouldn’t take it back. Yes, honestly I wore it as in at home in a second and took it off. Completely unprofessional and also heard them talking negatively afterwards…wrong field to work in as a sales associate. At least pretend to like your job, the jig is up!

They are so pleasant and helpful here I had a big return and they took care of it with grace and ease! A young lady who's name started with a M was the one who helped me and she was amazing 100000/10 start for their customer service!

Very efficient location for Nordstroms for quick pick ups. Employees are lovely. Only 3 stars because parking is terrible- no lots. And the employees aren't given sold answers when your delivery will arrive even after email says it is there... and isn't. Company needs to work on this. Seems like it is a convenience more for Nordstrom district than really for the customer per se.

I took some jeans here to get tailored, not only was the process not straightforward or convenient (I blame Nordstrom as a company for this) but my jeans were hemmed horribly. See the photos attached. I have washed them twice since picking them up nearly two and a half months ago.I called to ask what could be done, the associates (as always) sounded like I was saying words they couldn’t comprehend. They then handed me over to the seamstress who instead of apologizing, acted like I was wrong and asked multiple times if I was sure I brought it there - without ever seeing the work- and then told me I needed to bring them in to prove it. Which like, duh - how would they be fixed otherwise? The issue is the reaction I received from something very straightforward.Nonetheless I took them to a small dry cleaning business who are correcting them and hemming another pair (that I had planned to take to the Local) all for cheaper.I think this place works great if you want to pick something up without driving to the Grove or Century City. Other than that, don’t waste your time. I’ve shopped at Nordstrom my wholelife and I’ve noticed like most that it just keeps get worse and worse service wise, has less product on the shelves (even before the smash and grabs), and has made its rewards system more rigid. This Local is no exception to that experience.

The Nordstrom Local on Melrose is beyond fantastic! Exceptional service all around...and if you need to have anything altered, look no further than the genius (and kindness) of Mari! My one complaint? It's too damn hot in there...Nordy, pump up the frickin' air-conditioning! And although I was, very kindly, offered water (twice as the were obviously worried I was going to pass out or I just looked really sweaty and dehydrated), Nordstrom owes it to their customers, not to mention their great employees! The crew on my last visit was truly fabulous, so much so that I asked to get all their names for a shout-out...so here I am shouting! THANKS MARI, MARILOU, DESIREE, ANDREW and ROD!!! You all are the definition of customer service.

The convenience of returning Nordstrom on or Nordstrom Rack purchases is great! However, the tailoring costs are expensive.
