As a regular to this supermarket, I've never really had any issues with quality or customer service.I remember the early days when they had weekly sales on their ads for produce Wednesdays and Meat Thursdays, now they only have weekend only specials in addition to the weeklong sales. I like that they've introduced an app to track spending and you can earn rewards for your regular patronage. The digital coupons are fairly new and replaced the weekly text coupons which in my opinion had slightly better offers.Parking is sufficient, and there's a Wells Fargo ATM near the exit of the store which is convenient if you need cash. The store is pretty well organized and well lit. I don't feel too crowded in the aisles.I mainly come here for the produce and their fresh bolillos. There's nothing like their freshly baked bread. When they bring out the fresh batch, people are eagerly waiting to bag it up. They provide special ventilated bags so your bread doesn't get soggy from the condensation but I prefer to later with a regular bag so it's not touching the cart or the conveyer belt. Besides the panaderia, this market also has a full service meat counter and tortilleria. I've purchased meat and seafood from here before as they do have competitive prices. The prime rib goes on sale around around Thanksgiving and I've not had any issues with them selling out because everyone mostly buys pork for tamale season. This market does get fairly busy around the afternoon/evening when people run errands after work so they do have long lines, several of which are "express" lanes for purchase of 10/15 or so items or less. I notice they don't fully utilize all of the lanes but honestly what place has used all the lanes these days? They're fairly quick at checkout so the line doesn't take too long. Also wanted to add they take apple/android pay in addition to credit cards and cash.

Not a bad little Mexican grocery store. They offer everything you would expect from a traditional Mexican store. Decent location, they offer restrooms, good amount of items, good service and some of the people were friendly. Got my Mex nuts that I needed.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Never have I ever felt unwelcome at a grocery store. Especially in one I grew up going to. I have always been welcomed by the staff, always until today. Unfortunately I was helped by Xavier Wallace. Cashier #1356 at the express lane. I'm not sure if this guy has a problem with a Hispanic male having braided hair but he made me feel super weird. I know it had something to do with me because the customer before me was treated normally, with respect. As soon as I approached the register, he looked at my head and made me wait so long just to scan my items while making bothered and upset face expressions and repeatedly nodding no for some reason. He proceeded to scan my items giving me the same expressions. Both my wife and I had a weird feeling from him, as if something was wrong. He didn't even want to accept our money, he was very hesitant grabbing it with his ashy ass hands. Like HOW ARE YOUR PALMS ASHY?? I stopped by to get food to feed my son, not to feel unwelcome just because of how I choose to express myself with my hair. That cashier Xavier Wallace needs to be retrained on dealing with customers.

It's sad and infuriating that this chain of supermarkets doesn't think that our community deserves better. Everything is more expensive and of lesser quality that you would find at other grocery stores in more affluent neighborhoods. Even the shopping carts are monitored; the wheels lock as soon as you exit the store.

I give this establishment five stars for its great staff. Everyone is real and nice and helpful and gracious. Whenever I have needed any special attention, someone has quickly come to my aid. I also like the music! I have two requests that would enhance the shopping experience for me. If I may. . .The 15 item limit is hard to enforce. No one knows what 15 items looks like. Could u reduce it to 5 or 10 and have someone assigned to temporarily remind customers of it / redirect flagrant violators? Also, it seems that since the limited item lanes are distributed across all the check-out aisles, it's harder to tell when someone is violating the rules. Lastly, thank you for your organic dairy selection. We all love having the option to not drink hormones! Can you add organic half and half to the shelves and see if folks go for it? It would make one customer really happy at least!! Thank you so much!! Alanna Ramage your fan and customer

Needs better staff. They are very uptight and think they know better than the customer.

Just check the picture. Fire the STORE MANAGER now! This is bad for reputation and shows the management does not value there clients as there is no regards to the produce as you can see. This place sell decomposing produce here too in practically every category. Stay away from the corn!!! Premature a** corns everytime! Best time to get your rotten produce here is during the week(wednesday) where you'll save a lot of money for the most spoiled produce! It's not uncommon everytime I come and "El Super" is even worse! Going back to Ralph's and Albertsons where they know how to take care of there produce! Great job Superior! You guys are surely "superior" quality as a a grocer but onlthe poorest country in this world! On 11/19/2020- my wife went here to pick up 1-2 pork rib strips or simply 2 pork rib bones(.70lb or so). (Only need a small amount for a pozole recipe in testing) At Food 4 Less: if you request meat to cut a certain way, they do it. Only if there butchers are there Albertsons, Ralph's and any other Kroeber store all do it. Even my small local carnicero does it. For some odd reason, this shithole refuses to help there customers accommodate special and minor requests from there meat deli. Simply take 1-2 ribs off a spare rib rack and problem solved. Instead, there response is that is how they're sold and cannot cut it. Now I have to buy an entire rack of low quality(not superior as they advertised) spare ribs only to use 2lbs. Shitty excuse/reasoning. Was not surprised to hear this though..... If you shop here good luck to you. You will need it!!!

I'm disappointed in the market charging their customers 10 cent for bags, when the governor has order suspensions for charging of bags due to the Covid19!! Speaking with the SoCal manager is like talking to the wall!! Management is so unprofessional!!!!!

One can find organic free-range eggs in the heart of the barrio. Whereas at Trader Joe's, in a more affluent neighborhood, they are at a whopping $4.29!!! In a lower income area, like East L.A., they are over a dollar more. Of course!

It smells and the cashiers are sometimes rude. Which is unfortunate because this store is way closer than Ralph's.

Pan dulce is really good. The rest of the store is gross. Produce is swarming with flies, and the Swai I bought I had to throw out, alomg with chicken breast. The fish tasted like pine sol. You do not clean areas of food preparation with pine sol. The chicken breast had a tough membrane on it. Maybe ancient hens? The prices are high. Go for the Mexican spices, the Ducal beans, Cafe Bustelo and pan dulce. Everything else stinks.
