I rented a car for 4 days and was greeted with such professionalism! The staff is friendly, the car was clean and the tank was filled! Located in downtown LA, they are closed on Sunday but I was still able to drop my car off in a secure area. The location is 1.9 miles from USC and if visiting campus, they will pick you up from the USC Hotel which is super easy and convenient for anyone wanting a car to see the city. I'm a very satisfied customer.

Jason R. At the DTLA location was so helpful, and really answered all my questions and concerns to a T. It was soooooo easy to rent and pick up/ drop off. I would highly recommend Midway car rental, they actually care and if they can help you out in anyway they will :) I will be only renting from them from now own!!!

Easy reservation. Called and talked to a person right away. Pickup was easy and on time. Second time leasing with Midway and first at their DTLA location. Very convincing located by the convention center. Jason was friendly and helpful.

I usually never write reviews unless I feel strongly about the topic at hand, negative or positive.After the total loss of my car, I was terrified. Terrified of all the money I'd be spending on rideshare apps as well as dealing with the headaches and deceptive practices of most car rental companies If I needed a vehicle.I came to Midway with low expectations. After all, how much more different could these companies be from each other? Midway singlehandedly changed how I view car rental companies. The entire process was straightforward, and overall, pleasant, which are not words I'd imagine I'd use to describe the industry. The website was easy and pleasant to look at. The storefront itself looked clean, professional, and modern. I came in towards the end of the day and was greeted by Arion, who is a very courteous, no-nonsense kind of guy. Unfortunately, the car I initially wanted was unavailable, so he gave me an upgrade to a larger vehicle immediately. I was in and out of the store so quickly with my shiny RAV4 that I couldn't believe it was that easy and non-BS that it almost felt unreal. Hell, the experience was so nice, I even wanted to just hang out there for a while lol.Hands down some of the best rates and by FAR one of the best customer service experiences I've experienced not just in the car rental industry but in ANY industry, which is an amazing feat.Next time, if you want/need to rent a car, I strongly implore you to give Midway your business.WEBSITE: 9/10VEHICLE SELECTION: 9/10RATES: 10/10RENTAL PROCESS: 10/10CUSTOMER SERVICE: 10/10EDIT: I just called today to extend my contract, and although Arion wasn't there, I was greeted by Jason. Jason was also extremely helpful and professional. It's in this company's culture and the kind of people they hire, which makes something as mundane and dreadful as renting a car, an enjoyable experience.EDIT #2: I perused through their reviews for fun, just to see if my experience was an anomaly. It wasn't. All of the bad reviews come from people who are not capable or just flat out lazy to do the minimum amount of research to see if this company accepts debit card. Most usually don't, and for good reason. Credit cards are what every car rental place prefers because it provides them security in case you do not have the funds available to pay at the end. It's common sense, and I could explain this simple concept to my 8 year old nephew. You can also tell that nearly all of the people who left a negative review come off as extremely entitled/narcissistic individuals. The typical Los Angeleno that is mocked and loathed by the rest of the country who gives us a bad rep. Learn to read/do basic research, especially when your money is on the line. and don't act as if the world revolves around you, because there are over 8 BILLION people on this planet. You're not special despite what your mommy and daddy told you when you were a kid.

I’ve booked a car for 6pm, I arrived from the airport 06:05pm. The manager was in the office, he saw I arriving with 2 large luggages but he refused talk to me and left the office. He said me I was 5 minutes delayed… so he left me outside office, with no internet, no information and no car. Terrible. Rude guy. Rude service.

Everyone is very polite. And the most important is unlike most of the other rentals in DTLA, it's practically always guarantied that you'll get a car! Event if you have to wait for a little bit. Special thanks to Isabel for being a professional, she gave me free upgrade when my car was not available!

Fantastic experience! I picked up a vehicle before the Labor Day weekend and I received a call from Frank the day before the pick up to confirm. The day of Frank help me throughout the transaction and I was off with my rental in two shakes of a lambs tail. On the day of the drop off Ari came through to picked up the keys and I was out of there quick! Thank you guys for all your hard work and for being open Labor Day!

Worst costumer service ever. The so-called manager was extremely rude since I made the reservations the same day saying o should be thankful they gave me a car when I should’ve made thankful they even had a car for me. Rushed me through the process. He made me feel like he was doing me a favor by taking my money. I felt so uncomfortable that I ended up returning the car a few hours later when I was supposed to have the car for 4 days. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

I rarely ever ever write negative reviews, so this isn't coming from an entitled Karen at all. Made a reservation for a car rental here as this is right next to our hotel for easy return. If anybody knows, LAX is always a hot mess to get in and out off, you have to take a shuttle to be drop off at a designated location to then be able to call an Uber to be pick up from the airport, and we had to catch an Uber to get here as there is no shuttle pick up for this location (understandable since it wasn't their main LAX airport location). Showed up for the 10am reservation to be told to come back at 11:30am as there's no car available until a truck load drop more car off at 11:30am. Walked around sketchy downtown LA to kill time and came back just to be told that there's still no car and they have to service everybody that has been waiting around. If we had to wait in the lobby to be consider in the waiting queue, then why send us away and told us to come back? No estimated wait time, no clear answer if there was ever going to be a car or not, no apologies at all. This is like dating a wishy washy person that isn't clear about what they want and is constantly making you run in circles. We told them that we can't be waiting around all day long for a maybe answer as the car rental is for less than a day that we had free to have the autonomy to drive to different areas to explore as the rest of the trip is within walking distance to our hotel that we purposely book to be convenient to our plans so we won't be needing a vehicle afterwards. They told us they will call us if a car comes in, but around a certain point of the day, there was pretty much no point of needing one anymore, still never got a call back, can't imagine for people that actually needs one to get around if their trip wasn't going to be revolved in the immediate Downtown LA area. I understand employees are just forwarding information and god bless them for showing up to work and dealing with many industry problems, but what kind of system is this to have potential customers reserve a car entering their credit card info when there isn't even a car available to them? We pretty much wasted half of a day thinking we would have a car, if we knew it wasn't possible to get one, our plans would have been different. Our friend was able to rent at Hertz at their hotel close by with no problem at all, if we knew there isn't a car available here, we would have happily walk 10 minutes to work with them instead or move on with our life and start our day earlier, but this place kept giving us false hopes and wasted our time. I'm really just salty about not ever getting to go on vacation and wasting time on vacation to deal with unnecessarily BS. Very salty, probably more salty than Pizza Hut's meat lovers pizza that will make you thirsty afterwards from all the msg and sodium, that's how salty I am. I have rented here twice and it was amazing service the gentleman were awesome!!! Love the upgrade which was a perfect surprise for my familythat decided to go last minute with us and we were able to do just 1 car thank you Midway!!!

It’s becoming my go to place! Even when I picked up phone last minute and got a rental rightaway with good rate! Frank Levine helped me and he was GREAT! Every time, he was professional and cordial. He even thought about things I didn’t realize. He made me feel a valued customer. I’m already thinking about booking my next trip with Midway!
