This apartment is so run down. Changed employees every 2 weeks. Promised you the world couldn't deliver anything. Jacuzzi been broken for a couple months, pool heater been broken for longer. Grill never works. The fireplace never works. Roaches everywhere at the rooftop after dark. Elevator be broken often . Don't believe anything they say , have them email you everything they promise. These people are very shady and have no shame. Come on management team do something. This is not okayyy

Constantly getting my car broken into, mail is always getting stolen, property manager always says they need a warrant to see the video of the theft. Also no on site security so when drunken people pound on your door in the middle of the night you just have to ignore it.I gave it 1 star because the maintenance people are nice.

Honestly, what this place was a year ago to what it is now is why I am giving it 5 stars. Is it perfect, without flaws? Of course not. But the improvement has been incredible, and it all started when Yolanda joined the team. In the past four months or so, the carpet has been deep cleaned (previously filthy), trash rooms have been clean (used to overflow with trash), I haven’t seen any pet waste in the hallways (used to see it all the time), and my questions, tickets, and requests have all be replied to very quickly, and over the phone or in person. Yolanda has been very invested in ensuring all tenants are taken care of since she got here. She often keeps her office door open and is always accessible, and I have personally connected with her multiple times in person. While I am still heading out of Metwest for a few reasons, I will say the future of this place looks bright if Yolanda and the amazing maintenance staff continue what they are doing.

Never even think to move in here. Worst management I’ve ever met. Totally unprofessional staff.

I have been a resident since July 2021, and have experienced nothing but gross negligence from building management (Josh Lee). The building hot tub heater broke and took 3+ months to fix. I was routinely told it was fixed until I bought a thermometer and sent pictures showing the water temperature. There is zero security so package theft is a common occurrence in addition to car break-ins. When I, along with numerous other residents reported that our cars were broken into despite being in our gated assigned parking spots, management's (Josh Lee's) reply was to be more careful and not keep things in our car...Management is never available downstairs in the office (door locked and lights off) and never answers the phone so you have zero real-time contact with the building. Josh Lee claims to not see my emails because his work inbox is full. The building also show as permanently closed on Apple Maps... As I write this there is no hot water in the building and management is not answering the phone or downstairs in the office. Both the garage door and front lobby door are routinely broken where they are left unlocked and open, and management does nothing to deal with noise complaints whether during the day or after hours.Police have been called 5+ times in the six months that I've lived here for a naked homeless man on drugs assaulting residents in the building, a woman that was shot and robbed in the lobby, and for another homeless man attempting to cook meth in the lobby.I encourage you to look at recent reviews on here and other platforms to see that my experience is not unique.

Moved in March 2021. Personally my experience has been pretty typical to any building in LA. I love Josh the maintenance guy! He's always working hard and keeping things together. This place is run by only 2 guys (both Josh). Property manager Josh is nice but typically slow to respond, but I work alone as well and I get backed up so I usually let it slide and he was super helpful in my move in process. I know there's been issues with other residents but I've experienced this at every building I've lived in (cars broken into, mail stolen, and homeless people in the building). The only reason I wouldn't renew my lease here again, is the day after I moved in I realized there were no cameras. I have never lived in a building without cameras. This is just d*** on the upper management/owners end. I have been grabbed outside my building in pure daylight, so not having cameras is pretty unacceptable to me. I mentioned my complaint a few times since I've moved in after my experiences with homeless people in the hallways. I've almost been followed into my apartment by a homeless man lurking in the hall. I was extremely uncomfortable and scared. If he managed to get into my apartment there would have been no evidence of what even happened. Being a girl living in a LA I would NOT recommend living here based off the fact there are no cameras. If they would add cameras I would change my review, but they refuse. I own a business and put 32 cameras through my whole warehouse for less than 1 month of my rent here. Management definitely needs to move on cameras because it would really help with all the complaints they get.

Worst building I've ever lived in. The first unit I moved into was under the gym and they forgot to clean it. I had to switch to a new unit after a week because it was so loud (the manager assured me I wouldn't hear anything). After the trouble of moving all my stuff to the new unit, I found that this unit was also not cleaned and had been poorly painted. The manager assured me I wouldn't be charged a cleaning or painting fee.The entire year that I lived at MetWest was bad. I was paying a high price to live in what they called a "luxury" apartment complex, however they closed all of the amenities like the pool, gym, conference room. The new unit I moved into had a broken bathroom fan. After living at MetWest for an entire year and reminding them about the broken fan, they still never managed to come fix it. I had an assigned parking spot and at least once a week I would return home to find a different car parked in my spot. The management was impossible to get ahold of so I would have to wait until the car left. Towards the end of my lease it was impossible to get ahold of the management. Week after week I would call and email. When I finally managed to get in contact with the manager they would say that they never got any emails or calls, even though I confirmed the phone number and email address. They would only respond after I was able to locate their boss with the company that owns this building.I was happy when my lease was finally over and it was time to move out. I had no instructions on a move out procedure since I couldn't get ahold of the manager but a few days before I moved I was able to catch the manager in the lobby and they assured me that I wouldn't be charged for any cleaning or painting fees since I had been through so much trouble with moving into 2 dirty apartments and never having my bathroom fan fixed.Guess what... after I moved out I was charged the full fee. After many attempts to reach the manager post move-out, I discovered that a new manager had been hired. They assured me that my money would be returned. They never followed through with this and I eventually gave up since it wasn't worth my time.I also wanted to mention that while living here a woman was shot and robbed in the lobby. They claimed to have security but I only saw security a few times so I'm not surprised something like this was able to happen.AVOID THIS PLACE!

Pros:Location, they keep if fairly clean (see cons), nice views (depending on balcony direction), pool, gym (that you can’t use because of COVID), updated door locks (digitized), fairly quiet (not a lot of partying in my area), etc.Cons:Elevators always broken and extremely slow (not the speed of modern buildings), some tenants are disgusting (living pet feces, urine, etc. on and near elevators), floors are thin (if you have hard walkers above you - you’ll definitely hear every step).

Josh in the office is the best! The property is very beautiful and I am grateful for the help in getting us in our new apartment complex. We definitely love the amenities this complex has to offer and will definitely recommend this place to our friends who are looking this summer !
