Been coming here since I was little. Always my will be my favorite spot. it's home away from home Everytime I visit. The ambiance is beautiful. You can enjoy listening to relaxing music while consuming the flavor of Ethiopian. Will forever be back. Definitely recommend 10/10

Best Ethiopian restaurant I've ever tried!! Service is always super quick even when they have a full house. The food is consistently excellent and the Super Messob exclusive is the perfect dish for an indecisive eater like me. The ambiance is lovely and the bathrooms are clean with a sink outside of the bathrooms just in case you just want to wash your hands.

It's okay place. Average food comparing to other Ethiopian restaurants I have tested. Below my expectation.

Third time we ate here- delicious! We tried the combo plate for two for the first time, was fun, got to try some new vegan flavors. I love that Beef Tibs tho every time, every time and there's another beef dish that's the finely chopped beef and we get it raw (try it it's soooooo good) yum-yum, Yum, YUM. Coming back soon Also, great service- the man who waited our table was funny, and very helpful. Nice seating in the middle of the restaurant for two.

My first time trying Ethiopian food. Was pretty good! The restaurant is cute and service is good. I did try the honey wine, heads up it's super sweet almost like a juice. Wasn't my favorite, not big on sweets, tend to like red wine but it did go well with the meal.

Love this place!!! Highly recommend. The food is incredible and they are very helpful in helping you decide what to order. They do offer outdoor seating if you have Covid concerns. We went in the early afternoon and it was empty. It started to pick up as we were leaving though. Definitely will be back!

One of the best Ethiopian Restaurant, since 1985 in Little Ethiopia, Los Angeles, CA. I highly recommend this restaurant. Service is 10/10. Food is delicious ??. Vegan options available. While you are here, don't forget to try out Ethiopian coffee, keeping in mind that Ethiopia is the birth place of Coffee ☕.

We put in a double order of the SUPER MESSOB EXLCUSIVE for a total of 5 people and it was enough food and variety. It was not too spicy for people worried about how spicy it can get. Definitely ask for extra napkins ! They also have a sink outside the bathrooms with is super important as you use your hands to eat. Food has lots of sauce and oil that could likely stain clothing so probably don't wear anything you wouldn't want to risk getting dirty. Would definitely come back in the future.

All of the restaurants in little Ethiopia are basically indistinguishable from each other besides Meals by Genet and the vegan place. Service was acceptable but not over the top. the atmosphere was crowded, but hip and the food was as you'd expect.Bottom line, if you come to little Ethiopia, go to Meals by Genet. On the likely chance you can't get in, then go here or any other restaurant in this street, and you probably won't notice a difference.I know that doesn't make this restaurant seem great, but it shouldn't. This place is solid, and so are all of the others. I haven't had a bad meal on Fairfax.Vegetarian options: Ethiopian restaurants always have vegan and vegetarian options due to their religious beliefs.

The food was good and interesting. I’m giving 3 stars for the service but honestly it was below average. It took a very long time for my food to arrive and no one checked on us until I would personally call them and ask for something I needed.

Very disappointed for my last experience. I still think this is a delicious place but I waited almost an hour for my food last night. my son was starving. I asked him to be patient and we just chatted for most of our time. However, when he said, I can't wait anymore I'm so hungry. I looked at the clock and it had been 47 minutes. Then when the woman came up to our table as I was looking around, I told her I had waited over 45 minutes for food. it ended up showing up about six minutes after that. Our server had no idea that we never received our food even though she would've been the one to bring it out to us. Other people have been served food that came in after us. we didn't really get any apology or explanation. Just a quote, " did you get your appetizer though?" I had to deduct from my tip sadly, which I've never done in my life because there was no apology. No anything. This is not to push people to avoid this place, because they do have delicious food. I was just very very underwhelmed last night. And it's so ironic since I had just left them a glowing review recently.
