Melrose Trading Post is a lively, dog-friendly flea market held outdoors at Fairfax High School every Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM. It offers a wide variety of local vendors, artists, makers, and collectors selling goods made in Los Angeles or imported from around the world. Visitors can shop for vintage and reworked vintage clothing, jewelry, home decor, and unique handmade items, making it a favorite spot for those seeking one-of-a-kind finds. The market features a vibrant mix of small businesses and artists, including talented craftsmen creating clocks from books and futuristic paintings, along with vintage fashion enthusiasts. In addition to shopping, Melrose Trading Post provides great people-watching opportunities and delicious food from food trucks, perfect for a relaxed Sunday outing. Live music performances on the Garden Stage every Sunday add to the lively atmosphere. The market is run by the Greenway Arts Alliance, with proceeds supporting arts education programs and Fairfax High School. Entrance costs $6, with a stamp allowing re-entry, although parking can be challenging, often requiring visitors to park in nearby neighborhoods. Overall, Melrose Trading Post is a fun and unique place to spend a Sunday in LA, offering a mix of vintage, handmade, and imported goods, along with live entertainment and tasty food, making it a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.
Love it! Great mix of vendors with legit locally made designs. Lots of vintage and upcycling with most of it reasonably priced. A few vendors taking the piss but easy to move onto the next store with reasonable prices.
Get on down for fashion, art, homewares, good food and tasty drinks.
