I just adopted a cat and thank god I went to this spot… They had everything I needed and they were so kind and warm, they know what they are doing! The price is probably a little steeper than elsewhere but it’s totally worthwhile because all is ethically sourced and conscious of the pet’s well being. A pet lovers paradise!

Been here multiple times to pick up (dog) food... which oddly, sounds yummy to me and I'd like to eat it too lol. The store is well organized, the outdoor space in the back is super cute, and the owners/employees are just supreme! Their direct neighbors: a pet grooming store (Wag N Swag is also amazing), nice 1-2 combo! :) They also carry brands (open farm, farmers dog, wild one, etc) that I would be ordering anyway, so I love getting to support a local store directly!

The front desk lady with dark brown hair is really mean. First, she didn't do her job when I went to view a doggo I was going to take in. (A doggo by the way that the foster mom was doing everything for) Then she was condescending and disrespectful when we were asking further questions about health. Then she accused me of not being understanding of a non profit... I am in the arts, my parents own a non profit, like don't go around being so mean for no reason. I really just wanted to help the lil old lady dog, but they made it clear that their ego was more important than the dogs longevity. (She also clearly runs the social media based on the tone and diction of the comments and the passive aggressive replies) 0/10 doesn't put the dogs interest first. she made it clear that she wasn't going to let us take the dog because they saw this pour three week rescue as a money making opportunity. We are all sales people, but you could maybe try to hide it better, ya know, being that you're a non profit and all...

Friday was my third trip into this wonderful pet store. I was walking my puppy bulldog Elizabeth on Hoover in the AM, popped in just to browse. Did not have any intent to buy anything, just was in a browsing mood. MaeDay Outpost is a unique store carrying everything you won't find in a Petco and/or PetSmart. They carry dog toys like I have never seen. Bought Elizabeth a couple of them on my last trip here. This is a small eclectic boutique when you are seeking something unique and/or special. Turns out on Friday they had just received these lovely dog beds from Jaxnbones. The nice lady working here took every bed off the shelves so that Elizabeth could try them out. Moments later she was cuddled up in a large soft rose striped bed. It was $229. which is market price for this high end brand. Took the bed home and my baby Elizabeth has never been more comfortable. Great store, no high pressure sales tactics. Unique merchandise and a place you definitely want to check out.

Our go-to spot in the neighborhood for food and anything else we might need for our dog. We love the staff and also love that the store supports their non-profit, MaeDay Rescue. Most of the time when you go in you'll meet at least one of their adoptable dogs. ALSO! Really appreciate that they sell Dook bags - the only actually compostable dog poo bags I've come across.

Such a lovely place to take my doggo Gabby on her walks and pick up healthy snacks, really cool toys, and the comfiest " Save A Dog"'Alternative Apparel sweatshirt for us humans. The "fries" toy is her favorite toy - it's like 3 in 1! Wonderful folks who run the place, a real gem in the community!

Maeday Outpost is a great addition to the neighborhood! It's run by the woman who also runs Maeday Rescue where we got our dog! And shopping there is doubly helpful because they have great stuff for dogs and cats AND proceeds help keep the rescue going. They're very knowledgeable and helpful and sometimes you get to meet their newest rescues. In this case adopt and then shop.

It's a wonderful spaced frequented by alumni fosters and rescuers. A bright popular space, host to many sponsored and open events benefiting MaeDae Resue. Patrons with pets, preferred.
