This is my first review in a while but I am compelled to write one for this division and Officer Meraz in particular. I came this morning to look into a matter and Officer Meraz went above and beyond his duty to help me--he was on his phone calling places and speaking with people for over 30 minutes to help me. He was compassionate, empathetic, professional, and respectful. I am aware of all the hate towards law enforcement but I am pro- law enforcement. You cannot defund police and hate the officers because of a FEW bad ones. These officers get paid shit, are villainized by the public and media, and have to risk their lives for us. You have no idea of the stress and risks involved for our officers. There are more GOOD officers so let us support them, instead of hating those who are protecting us with their lives. Would you hate soldiers returning from war (unless you are a commie bastard)?!?! Only idiots want to defund law enforcement. In fact, look where that has gotten us--crime is out of control!!! I am not a republican, but Biden and these Woke assholes are really pushing me in that direction.

I feel it's important to recognize Officer Morales who works out of the Wilshire office for his help today. My vehicle was towed last night and i had been trying to reach someone for help. Finally i got lucky to reach officer Morales, he really went above and beyond to help me a) locate the vehicle b) provide documentation for release at tow yard and c) ensure he was available to meet me when I arrived to the station. He even called the tow yard to ensure my vehicle was on-site and that there would be no issues with release. I know that officers are short staffed and he took his time and was patient. Really the best officer experience I have encountered in a while and it was exactly the kind of help I needed during a very very stressful day. Thank you again for the help today Officer Morales.

I am not sure if this is the station to post this for, but I was driving my family to the airport this morning, and wanted to give them enough time for the LAX debacle to travel. I was pulled over for going a bit too fast. Albeit, Sunday morning, everyone was going fast. I will not use the officers name, and he may have been out of his jurisdiction, but he very kindly gave me the speech about exceeding the speed limit, the possible penalties, and sent me on my way. In our current climate, many people do not hold officers in law enforcement in the highest regard, but most of them still willing to do this job are good guys, not the variety were are seeing in the news. This motor cop could have cited me, cost me $ 300.00+ dollars, possibly made me late, and ruined my day because I was breaking the law. He would have been correctly doing his job. But, instead he was very polite, respectful, informative, and kind. While we may be getting bombarded by the media for those that are the BAD ones, there are GOOD ones who should also get recognized!

During Covid, My 82 year old father-in-law stood outside for ever, calling the numbers posted at both LAPD Community and next door at LAPD West Traffic to speak to someone, getting voice mail box that is full. For 3 days no way to get anyone to sign a release for his impounded car which only required a smog check and was accruing charges everyday. Still no resolution with no way of actually speaking with police (except 911)

Had to make the trip to report a hit and run. Office Yi was friendly, and took my report. The place was quiet, around 5:00 pm, one other couple filling out forms. Officer Yi took my information, asked questions, and was truthful about the part that there were several hundred cases of "hit and runs" ahead of me. I needed to get a police report for my insurance company, and even though it was out of my way to go there, I feel it was worth the trip. There was plenty of street parking in front of the station, and even with a short wait, I was in and out in about 40 minutes. A clean , well lit place, with ample seating, and friendly, and professional officers. ,

I’ve always loved the LAPD they are the worlds most iconic police Department plus highly trained cops other than the NYPD and the world

I'm only rating this police station a one store because I have to rate them in order to post my review but honestly they are a 0 star just because mostly everyone at this police station are very rude & they seem to forget what's the meaning of them wearing a police officer uniform they have also forgotten the reason why they have became officers . They treat you like they don't care about what goes on with our community. They definitely ignore the calls and answer extremely rude . Plus police officers here need to study their laws way more just because they do not know any constitutional laws .

I came and waited about 30 minutes to file police report . My car was broken into . After I wait all that Time the officer tells me I need to visit the southwest division. So I wasted my time there. Turns out at the southwest division I was told all stations of the city of Los Angeles are LAPD so I should've been serviced. All civilians need is help... why turn them down when you can be of assistance . I'm pretty upset that this is the case of people being turned down and being told false information.

Some officers are really nice, like this tall blonde male officer that runs the beverly hills area. I never got his name, but he was one of the very few officers that were kind instead of power-tripping all the time. I hope that he's well as I think he's a wonderful person.

I am so impressed with our officers at Wilshire LAPD. Every time I go there they'll always so professional and accommodating. I feel safe knowing they're in our community.
