1205 Wall St, Los Angeles“AGC Liquor is hands down one of the best liquor stores around! They’ve got an awesome selection of spirits, wines, and beers for any occasion. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to help you pick out the perfect bottle. The layout makes it easy to find what you’re looking for, and the prices are great too. Whether you’re hunting for something rare or just grabbing your usual, this place won’t disappoint!!!”
“Blackbeard's is the best beer shop in Los Angeles. The selection is outstanding, and everyone who works there is delightful. Shayan helped provide 10+ cases of beer for a large event - he was attentive, supportive, gave great advice, and went above and beyond to make the whole experience seamless.”
“Best wine shop on the planet! Their selection is second to none and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and educated and making recommendations based on your pallet flavor profiles that you like”
“The owners here are awesome! Great prices and product selection. There are a few other liquor stores in the area but I continue to go to this spot because the workers here are always have good energy, play good music, and just seem to be genuinely good people who care about and recognize the locals in the community while also making others feel welcomed too. Great people over here! Can’t emphasize it enough. Shout out to Jazz!”
“The garage door company provided excellent after-sales service. When I had a minor issue with my opener, they promptly sent a technician who fixed it at no additional cost. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is commendable”
“Really hard to say anything bad about the place. I go in for lunch and grab a cheese or two about once a week since moving to the neighborhood. Can be a little crazy on weekends, but if you make it in during a weekday the staff have great suggestions.
Great bread and meats as well.”
“For a store with this many options I'm surprised just how well the staff knows the products. Always good recommendations, decent prices (a little more than some markets), unique drinks”
“On Thursdays make sure you're in the right line.
The long line is for check cashing. The line nearest the door is for purchases. They have some rare items like Mexican Pepsi! All sizes of everything. Huge bags of taco chips.”
“Cute store with a curation of wine, chocolates/snacks, and dried flower bouquets! Appreciated that the wines were organized by type and had notes on its flavors or suggested pairings. The perfect stop in silverlake to pick up a quick gift, and my purchase was also nicely wrapped :)”
“Aww yea!! Singh’s liquor baby!! Been hittin this small lil joint for a minute. I remember being posted up with my homeboy JC and Pollo Campero at this liquor store back in 2007 dawg. That was the life back then foo, rockin that baggy white t and some long as shorts reaching down to our ankles homie. Drinkin up all them Modelos every Saturday and just chilling. It’s a damn shame that my hood boy, Pollo Campero, got shot by one of the enemies while he was trying to do his thang with one of the fruit ladies, RIP POLLO CAMPERO SFF, Silly Funky Foos, Fly high like a bird, that was our name but we’re no longer active if any of you guys are wondering. I mean, I’m still posted up here and I’m ready to fight that foo who shot my foo, Pollo Campero in 2007. I’m going to be drying around looking for enemies, so if you guys see a fat Latino with a pink Afro and neck beard, that is me, so don’t blow my cover or you’ll become my enemy. JUSTICE FOR MY HOMIE POLLO CAMPERO, ALL YOU ENEMIES CAN GET THE SMOKE! MATTER OF FACT, EVERYONE IN EAST LA YOUNG OR OLD CAN GET THE SMOKE SINCE A YALL KILELD MY HOMIE, POLLO CAMPERO, I AINT PLAYING NO MORE FOOOOOOO!!!!!”
“What an absolutely wonderful wine place to accidentally stumble upon while getting my morning coffee. James was the name of the gentleman who helped me and really took his time explaining the shop and it’s history and nearly all of the wines in stock one by one. I ended up, leaving with four separate bottles, all new to me, and I am very excited to try them. This place is approachable and well laid out and I will make sure that I visit anytime that I’m in the area. I highly recommend just popping in for a look and maybe a quick sip of wine.”
“Great lil hidden gem located at the north end of Cal Plaza. They have a great selection of wine & spirits as well as the cheapest beer on tap in the area! Tony (aka, The God Father) Mr. Mike & Abner provide the best customer service you can possibly get nowadays. Looking for something you cant find, they will be quick to assist and order for you if available. Take a walk down there next time you are in Bunker Hill no matter the day. they are open till 8:00pm 24/7 most of the 365 days of the year!”
“They have a great selection. I like to buy the 50ml size (airline size) to try different brands. If I especially like them I buy a regular size bottle. They have a big selection!”

3331 Barham Blvd #1403, Los Angeles“We have lived here since 1970. It's Oscar night so I commented that I needed to get back to the Oscars. He said that they were a joke . Always have had great people running Ambrose. Tonight I went in and commented that my ex husband loved soccer which was on the tv. The rude guy behind the counter said he must have liked really cheap wine. " like 3.99 a bottle huh ?!" obviously he was not a fan of Argentine people!!! I said he was being rude , and he suggested that I complain to Ryan ( I don't know if Ryan is the owner or mgr. ) WTF ! Now I will check to see if this jerk is working before I walk in the door.”
“Best wine shop in LA. All of the selection and none of the snobbish attitude. Great group of women staff, always happy to help. The best! Just wish they were open later for late night runs, can’t have it all.”
“Stopped by on the way to a friend’s and the woman who helped me was so knowledgeable and passionate. I could tell they also really cared about the wine that they stocked and pour intentional into good, caring and interesting winemakers.”
8AM - 11PM
1196 S Lorena St, Los Angeles“This wine shop is perfect for all of your beer and booze needs. They had a wide variety of wines and beers. And they are far less costly than any other wine shop in the city or malls. You can also dine and eat here because the interior is very chic and cozy. Macarons, pastries, and bread were also available.”
“This Market an amazing jewel of the community. The husband & wife/owners are always helping small vendors by directly carrying their products &/or by allowing them to do pop-up's outside the market. They carry locally crafted organic chorizo, longaniza, organic blue corn & flour tortillas, salsas & a bunch of other goodies. God bless these people for everything they do to make our community better”
“This market/grocery store is improving and I am stopping here for more than beer and backwoods now. They carry different items including organic and dietary-restricted items which we love to see. Even a tiny produce section. With these improvements, I am shopping here more often but can still give the feel of shopping at the liquor store vs a market/grocery store because the produce or fresh item section is so small and has almost no variety that with Smart & Final and Ralph's at just about the same distance they usually get more of my business. Also, prices are significantly higher, which is something I understand in working with small independent businesses most of my life. However, 3 times the price of some items isn't something I can't do. At the end of July 2023, they did have a Sunday Farmers Market which was in a partnership with an existing farmers market. This shows me that they are trying to better meet the community's needs and not just their pockets. So I'll continue to support where and when I can.”
“Coly really helped me out when I was in a pinch needing a gift delivered to a special friend’s 40th birthday. I first chose this place (browsing options from the east coast) because of their beautiful gift boxes with so many great products to fill them with, but was so touched by the extra care I received when I emailed following my order with a delivery request. Coly followed up with me every step of the way. I am truly appreciative of this and would recommend this shop. I can’t wait to visit in person. Big thanks! My friend loved her gift and I’m sure she will be back to shop too!”
“I stopped by this store after attending Smorgasburg LA. I won't lie, I was enticed by the free wine tasting sign outside. However once I walked in, it was a very nice store with so many different types of wine that I've never heard of. It was a very inviting store with great customer service. They were not pushy and were very open to explaining the different types of wine. For a dedicated wine store, the price was on par with what you would expect. This is definitely a store that I will be returning to. I want to expand my wine knowledge and tastes.”
“Can't go wrong here. Excellent selection of hard-to-get cocktail fixings, cordials, and digestifs. Extensive selection of all liquor types. Good beer choices. I think you can get a keg here too. Prices are abt 3-4 dollars (at least) cheaper than regular stores.
What this place brings to the table is staff who know their product. Try to get that at the chain discount liquor stores”
“Stopped here to get Italian sodas, sparkling water, cheese, baguette and some jams before a picnic on a boat! The staff was helpful and the cheese that was recommended was delicious!! The only thing I didn’t love was being asked to tip at checkout for just picking up cheese, as it was already on the pricier end”
“My absolute favorite local liquor store. I cirst came for the incredible beer selection in the back but I keep coming back for all the guys behind the counter. Truly some of the nicest, friendliest people around.”
“I am a long time regular patron of Jason's Wines & Spirits (now called Silver Lake Liquors). It's a very good place and a convenient location. But they currently have a terrible customer service problem. That woman who runs the place is just awful. She really makes it plain that she cannot stand most of the patrons who USED to frequent the store. (Business has really dropped off). Now it's to the point that I’m willing to take my business to Mikron’s or Big Mac”s rather than have to deal with that woman. Something needs to be done!!”
11:30AM - 10PM
3111 Glendale Blvd #2, Los Angeles“I've attended 2 music events at the modern speakeasy downstairs:1) A Jazz Band2) Beats & Beer Pop-up with Beatnuts DJ & Emcee Psycho Les, Beatjunkies DJ Carlos 'C-Los' Menendez, KCRW DJ Anthony Valadez, and DJ Blackmuseumist. They spun ALL-VINYL with some funky dope blends. If you don't know about them, you need to find out...get some new friends lol and this is the place where you can connect with people over music. Oh, folks were dancing their tails off. It was hard to sit down. I didn't want to go home...Both times were a major vibe. The space creates an intimate ambiance with a slight minimalist feel because of the decor--keeping it simple with aesthetics and functionality. There is a music room and a conversation room close to a bar that serves a plethora of unique craft beers and wine only. Beer server (or Beer Meister lol) knows how to help you select the right brew for your appetite. He was extremely helpful and patient with me. I appreciate him.Prices were reasonable--probably the lowest prices I've seen in LA.I had a brief conversation with the owner, Marcus. He is talented, brilliant, and funny. He is a sommelier who meticulously curates his wine selections. I will definitely start buying my client gifts from his wine shop.Parking was easy. I choose to park across the street in the lots. There are tasty food vendors in the shopping plaza if you need to order something.”
“Employees are very friendly and will ask you if you need help. My cashier was kind and friendly even with my brain farts. I was able to find peppers which is surprisingly hard to find lately especially good ones. I bought some of the Jalapeño poppers and I swear they are the best thing ever so yummy and easy to cook. I also stocked up on some broccoli and burger buns. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised at how fairly inexpensive it was considering how expensive groceries are these days anywhere else. And the quality of the items are great. The store was also clean and organized which is always good.”
“I was looking for a wine store around my office and I found this place. Went in the store and Bernard was such a wonderful person. He helped me and suggested a good wine for gift. Affordable and elegant wines. I bought 4 red wines. He even prepared it for me and walked me in the office to carry it all. I will definitely come back here to buy more wines/ spirits. I also recommend this store for everyone around DTLA to stop by there if they need anything. ?? Keep up the good work Bernard. You’re awesome! ??”
“Great place! Incredible selection of liquors, liqueurs, bitters, and all that other cocktail related stuff. Healthy selection of beers, ciders, and seltzers :) very friendly staff too!”
“Congratulations, this one was well deserved compared to the last one ??Edit: To the winner, Do not take the lump sum of cash, your losing almost another 500million if you take the lump sum, you already got a billion, your checks will already be fat, see it this way in 30 years you'll be able to say your a billionaire”
