We ordered two full plates of meat with the accompanying sesame sauce. We asked the server multiple times if there was any nuts in the sauce as we have a nut allergy. The server reassured us several times that there was no nuts in the sauce. At the end of our meal, when we asked if the sesame ice cream had any nuts in it, a different server said no, but the sesame sauce has cashews in it, which we are allergic to. On top of this, when we were paying, the server made a comment about paying a tip when we wrote $0 due to the service & lack of consideration for allergies. While she was trying to give us free parking in exchange for their mistake, I insisted on the $0 tip nonetheless. Do not go here if you have a nut allergy.

Warning:Save yourself the time, hunger, and moneyThis place was so awful! Bad name to shabu shabu. Their “broth” consisted of just water and vegetables. The meat was awful. Customer service: 2/10 we were placed in a corner and barely seen. I attempted to ask them for a different broth but all they gave me was hot sauce. I hate to leave a bad review but it was so expensive for food that was not even eaten.

Warning: Please do not come here, food was disgusting!! Only boiled water and vegetables, made my husband so sick had to throw up in the bathroom within minutes of eating the food. We could not even finish it. Such a disappointment. Please do not come here and save yourself the money and time.

I don't know how this place ended up with four stars. I really wanted to write a good review because the workers are nice, but I had to be honest. I've had numerous Japanese shabu and by far, this place was the worst. The broth was pure water with one piece of dashima (seaweed). The ponzu sauce was too acidic and the sesame sauce was just okay. If you are really into bland food for $100+ for two people, I'd say give it a try. But, if you want to feel like you're actually eating with packed with flavors, please go elsewhere. I understand that Japanese shabu is supposed to be clean, but this place is pure boiled water with meat and veggies. Sad to say, but I would not come back here....

I am honestly surprised with the meat quality at this restaurant! Their meat quality is definitely better than other shabu places. This place is a traditional Japanese Shabu so you should not expect a flavored both, they only give you water with kelp. I order the Kobe Style Marbled Beef Shabu Shabu Full Plate and it comes with veggies, rice, miso soup, ice cream, sesame dressing and ponzu. They also have an AYCE option and I think the price is very reasonable for such good quality meat.

Absolutely love this place. Friendly staff, great meat and sauces, and amazing ambience.I live nearby so I eat here almost every week. 1 plate is enough to keep me content, but the AYCE option is available for those that want more.

What a waste of $200. They charged $40 for skimpy veggie skewers that were pathetic. Plain boiled water for soup base ? Awful.

Was waiting on Torigoya and just wanted a drink, but I realized that we could have a full on omakase kushikatsu meal here so we stayed. The chef brought out freshly fried katsu pieces 3 at a time and it was great. We must have had 21 courses and there were no repeats. You will get what you pay and prepare to pay for the quality of food here. The owner told me they have been around for 30 years, and it felt like I have arrived in Japan... A+ for ambiance and service A for katsu quality B+ for value ($$)
