This is my favorite store out there! They have the coolest shit. Love their clothing designs, hats and misc devices. Got myself a carbine multi tool there but I was eyeballing this cool hammer axe tool, maybe next time. I just can’t leave this store without buying something!

Stumbled across this shop while visiting Japantown in LA for the first time and I'm so glad I went in. The Halloween/rockabilly vibes in the display window caught my eye and inside I was pleasantly surprised by all the fun things in the tiny space. I purchased a pair of Freddie's of Pinewood jeans (glad to have discovered them) and saw several Miss Ladybugca shirts that are cute and made in the USA. I would say the prices are fair, especially considering brick and mortar stores where you can try things on are dying due to high rents. Support local cool stores like this one whenever you can!

Such a cool store, great spot for gifts and I love the rockabilly vibe. The prices are pretty decent too, the cigarette case I bought was good quality and the T shirt I purchased was super soft. The woman who rang me up was super sweet too. Definitely drop in if you're in Little Tokyo

SIDE NOTE FIRST!! 95% of their products are owned by small businesses- BUY FROM THEM NOT HERE!!! I went in to look and as I was checking out, I was accused of stealing. When asked, I refused to let them check my bag, and immediately was threatened by an Asian man in his mid 40s, presumably the owner, that he was going to beat me if I did not show him the contents of my bag. I went to try to leave, and was immediately shoved by an Asian woman in her mid 30s, and locked inside the store. I finally allowed them to check my bag and was immediately dismissed. Along with this, for the entire duration of my stay in the store, the woman stood at the door, and stared at me. This is only speculation, but upon looking at the names of other individuals harassed at this location, most seem to be traditional Hispanic names. I myself am also Hispanic, and I am completely speculating, but patterns do speak louder than words.

I first discovered this place back in Dec '22 where I purchased a shirt for a friend. Revisited back in October since I was in the area and my girlfriend and I noticed one of the associates was watching us heavily and standing by the door. It got to the point it made us uncomfortable, I thought nothing of it, so we decided to leave. Once again I come to visit in December since my friend's birthday is late in the month and sure enough the same employee is watching us and standing in front of the door. We had just only walked in and my girlfriend had picked up a $30 shirt and was comparing sizes. We go from one side of the small store to the other and another associate asks if we would like for her to take the shirt to the front, not even a minute into the store. I work in loss prevention and this is not the way to go about it, Kools needs to do better with their employees.

Not only is it over priced (most of the stuff I found online). But the workers just stand and stare at you. They don’t offer to help or ask questions. They just stare with rbf. I walk in all the time check it out but always leave.

-------This review is simply based on my experience on Saturday, September 17th! This shop has great items. My boyfriend and I enjoy going to Kools clothing store every time we go to Little Tokyo. We both have purchased items from this location. By far, I have two women tees. But yesterday, was a different experience. I wasn't sure of my shirt size and my boyfriend quickly pointed out that they have a fitting room. I asked the girl associate behind the cash register if I can try two shirts on. I showed her two shirts in hand - I proceeded to try the shirts on. My boyfriend was waiting outside for me and I heard the associate ask how many shirts I took in, my boyfriend said 2. After that, the two young ladies kept being close to us and by the fitting room. My boyfriend and I kept looking around for more items to purchase and I left the shirt unattended for a bit and the same associate picked up the shirt I was planning to purchase. Fast forward, my boyfriend and I felt so uncomfortable yesterday Saturday, September 17th. The associates kept staring at us and following us... mind you, we were planning to purchase one shirt and maybe more. After feeling this way, I gave the associate the shirt I had it hand and we left empty handed. We were planning to purchase more items but yesterday wasn't it.

Me and my girl walked into the store for no more than 10 minutes. We looked at the ID cases and only grabbed one to actually look at it well. We put it back and kept looking around. As we were about to the leave , the worker (owner?) asked us to give back the ID case. I was confused at first cause she was hard to understand, but quickly we realized she was accusing us of having taken the ID case. Then she asked to see what was in my pockets and my girlfriend's bag . Not having taken anything , I showed her what I was carrying out of respect. After proving we hadn't taken anything , she still didn't believe us talking about this happens everytime like ok that doesn't mean you go assuming people are stealing. And how could we have stolen ANYTHING when she was following us every step of the way. She ain't even apologize afterwards. I should of known we'd be discriminated because seconds before entering she closed the door on this black man out of "fear."
