It was OK but expected a lot more of a retro store in a nostalgic setting. It was a fairly small store with maybe 25% old-time toys. Barbies and Legos were largely represented at higher prices than a regular department store. Helpful staff and they even wrapped my purchases! Ask for parking validation as the lot right outside their store is pay to park.

Epic toy store! They sell vintage-size dinosaurs and other cool toys :))) Plus John is so helpful in helping me find the right birthday present. He also chose a fantastic gift wrapping too and Isaac helped me check out with great enthusiasm. Love them both!! They make the toy shop fun, not just the great selection of toys.

came here to buy a board game and was made very uncomfortable by a belligerent, clearly drunk customer whom the employees allowed to harass every single person walking in, including a family with a small child. He followed my friend and I around the store, swearing profusely, and became aggressively upset when we tried to leave. He demanded I try on a hand puppet he had been holding and, when I kindly refused, continued to follow me while raising his voice as the employees stood there and watched. Kips has their side door locked so we couldn't escape that way and had to instead circle back and walk past this man who had moved in to harass another customer. I can't imagine how this situation would make a child feel, and because of that I highly encourage anyone to avoid this unsafe environment.

I enjoyed shopping here, as it brought back many memories of childhood, similar to receiving the Sears catalog of toys each Christmas. The toys are not really expensive, but are from the major brands, such as Brio, Mattel, and other vendors. The size of the store is rather small and quaint, with a beautiful storefront along the parking lot. I ended up buying an etch-a-sketch , Nerf Ball and dinosaur for my grandson, which seemed to be some of the toys he would gravitate towards. I found this toy store by watching the Channel 5 news and the local events happening around Los Angeles. Since it's near Christmas, I felt this was a good time to check it out!

Best toy store in LA. Jay provides great customer service and really understands what kids at all ages are into. Oh and they validate parking for the farmers market!

My little one loves this toy store , it has to be our first stop anytime we go to The Grove. Yeah it can be a little pricey and he always gets the same things , these little racer cars. But it puts a smile on his face and we can enjoy the day. It's fun having an actual toy store to visit sometimes . Go check it out your kid will love it!

Cute toy store at the Farmer's Market! If you check out the area, pop in, the store is cool, like a visit back in time. They carry old school toys that bring nostalgia to some people. I didn't grow in US so for me it's fun to discover them. A quick cultural lesson that I needed to catch up on. It's a great store to get gifts for kids, and get creative. Or bring back a cool souvenir or a fun gift if you visit the area and check out stores inside the Original Farmer's Market. My husband got me here a rubik's cube because everyone needs one, right? At least I had to have a new one! Decent customer service, a shop that you should at least check out!

I'm a big fan of Kips - the selection of toys is so diverse and the staff is always super helpful. Nostalgic toys, games, LEGO's, boys & girls - it's the best, and fun experience knowing that it's such an LA institution. Highly recommend it, there's nothing like it around.
