Zoe was a great instructor. She explained the different poses very well! Very down to earth and friendly. I’m new to yoga and went to the community and donation based class. It was a great atmosphere and I really recommend it.

The classes and instructors are pretty great but entering a classroom and seeing dried sweat pools all over the floor is really gross. Especially when your teacher cues a pose that requires your arms or legs to rest on the sweat-crusted floors. It would be great if some cleaning could be scheduled between classes. Also, it’s kind of disappointing to come here only to see the owner respond with snarky and condescending responses to any critique or concerns.

I LOVE Kinship Yoga! It's a place I come every week to feel grounded mentally, spiritually + physically. Some special highlights of my time there have been: Araceli's yoga flows en español (I wish there was more of this in LA!); Bree's "Process" class where you journal, do breathwork, SCREAM! + move like no one is watching; Sita Dass Ji's Soul Flow Yoga where you breathe, chant, flow + LAUGH! in a manner informed by Eastern Religions; and Meg's Yin / Healing Collective class where you are taken through slow movements while healers go around the room giving you restorative services ?♀️✨My only wish to make this space the best it possibly could be would be a thorough vacuum and/or quick Swiffer or mop between classes. At times I've found some dust bunnies and things of that nature on the ground that can distract from my practice, especially given yoga mats are made for things to stick to them. I say this with the most love for this space that has become a regular part of my week and practice ?

This place has been a lifesaver for me - both mentally and physically. The teachers are wonderful and it feels like a fun, playful, joyous place that leaves me feeling calmer, fitter and happier every time I leave. There’s no pressure to be ‘good’ or ‘perfect’ and it is truly an hour every day to feel part of a caring, compassionate community.

Great spot for yoga. The teachers are amazing! I've been to pretty much everyone's class. Alex, Meg, Stella, Veronica, Andrea, Areceli, and more. I've even taken Stella's Ashtanga workshop and been on Alex and Andrea's yoga retreat. It's just nice to feel some community in such a big city. Go here if you're looking for that and a great yoga practice.(P.s. there's lots of body shapes and sizes and no body shaming like some places in LA. I always feel super comfortable.)

This review would be 5 stars if the classes weren't so packed!Class itself is wonderful. Instructors are very knowledgable and give helpful cues. The studio is stunning; exposed brick, vaulted ceilings with suspended paper lanterns, cute outside area in back, etc. But within the last few months the 6pm classes have become uncomfortably crowded. It disrupts movement (you're constantly adjusting, staggering, trying to not hit your neighbor) and takes you out of your flow. And if your neighbor forgot to put on deodorant, you'll be dealing with that as well.I've been going to this studio for a couple years now. Bummed this is happening. Going to check out the earlier classes and see if they have less people. Might need to start looking for a new studio.I hope management sees this and does something about it!

Such a chill environment, and everyone is so friendly! I really enjoy taking classes here, and they are always shaking things up, so don't expect the same routine for the same class. Definitely come here even as a novice they are super accommodating and always ask that you listen to your body. It's no pressure, all fun and motivating.

This is such a gem of a yoga studio. The classes are really incredible, from the pacing of the sequences to the music to the lovely instructors and the community. It’s a really great vibe all around.

A gem yoga studio in the Highland Park neighborhood. The spacious studio is a welcome retreat that draws really good energy. I appreciate the pace and sequences of the classes I've experienced here. The Friday evening session with a sound bath was one of my favorites. It truly feels like a sanctuary where you can reset.

This studio absolutely saved my life and became a turning point for me. This place is truly a sanctuary. I've been looking for a genuine spiritual yoga studio for a long time in LA, and this place stole my heart years ago when I first moved out here, and and it stole it again when I returned to my practice. All the teachers are absolutely incredible. I love Amanda, Alex, Araceli, Bree, freaking everyone. Here I've met some of my favorite teachers ever. Who's classes I'll be taking forever! It's hard finding a genuine yoga studio that's really about the true foundations of yoga and it's ancient teachings. This place through its teachers, really embodies all of it- the mind, body, emotional, spiritual - it's truly incredible. The way all yoga studios should be. I'd also like to make some shout-outs! To Araceli, thank you so much, your flow class + sound therapy is truly phenomenal. I leave in complete and total bliss. Your classes are so beautiful and movingTo Amanda, thank you so much for your deep, powerful classes. The way you guide us through our hearts and bodies is beyond transformational. Thank you for bringing your heart into every class with us To Alex, thank you so much for your beautiful and powerful classes. You inspire us to cultivate that fire within and let it burn Thank you for being who you are And to Bree, thank you so much for your beautiful classes and the wonderful Women's Embodiment retreat I love your monthly Saturday classes where we get to journal, dance, scream, and breathe.Thank you to everyone at Kinship for making this such a beautiful and safe space. I am so thankful for you all xx

3 starsMy first time here via ClassPass. I chose a Sunday morning thinking it would be slower since it's the weekend, but nope. It was a very packed class and, while the flow of the class seemed ok, certain poses/stretches seemed too widespread to do comfortably when someone is literally a foot away from me. Otherwise, room was nice and warm. There is a sign on the door's entrance telling you which side is cooler/hotter. There are cubby holes for everybody's belongings, but not enough of them. There are complimentary teabags, water, towels, blankets, and foam blocks. I found street parking relatively close by, but then again, it's a Sunday morning so the streets didn't seem too busy or packed yet. I was the only person in there with a mask on and I'm pretty glad I wore it. Better safe than sorry is my mantra. As much as I like the idea of hot yoga, the location, parking situation, and crowd size is probably going to deter me from coming back.
