Severely overpriced merchandise?went to buy a Sasuke nendroid but it did not have a price on it so the worker went to go “make” one and came back saying it was $87…i went online and found it for $47 max(including shipping)…I should have done my research but a 40$ up charge is CRAZY

First time visiting today, the young lady working was very patient and kind while I searched for gifts. The hello kitty selection is great but very overwhelming if you are not familiar. Thankful for the cashiers help she made my experience phenomenal.

Employee's are rude. I went in to buy some figurines & asked the woman behind the counter if they accept Apple Pay. Then what I'm assuming that was another male employee that works there, jumped in the convo and said "you see this machine? It normally means that they'll accept Apple Pay." He sounded so sarcastic and as if I was incompetent. Either way I said "thank you." I proceeded to get ringed up & that's when the woman behind the register didn't even acknowledge me and continued to talk to her employee without even telling me that my purchase went through. That's when I just grabbed my stuff and walk out with a "thank you" and still did not get acknowledged by both employees that were at the register. Both had horrible customer service. Would not come back here

I'm from Sacramento. New to the area for a family vacation and this place WAS "highly" recommended to visit. I wanted to get some Dragon Ball figures here, but I had to come back to check other places for prices just incase, which I did. Brought a purse for the fiancé (Sailor Moon Black) and some stuffed Pokémon for a friend. I had to wait for replies from friend to be sure this is what they wanted. So one of the workers stayed near the door where I was at. Dude.. very awkward, if I m gonna steal something, it ain't Pokémon. Also didn't help I had a big bag of DB figures (from another store) cause DB figures were on the other side of the Pokémon. So I get it.. but the owner (Asian guy) must've came out, he looked over the counter while bagging my items. Pretty sure he felt stupid to see the price tags weren't his store's. Like just ask to see my bag, I thought it hit off with the workers there. But guess not. Would I recommend this place? For some prices sure, for a place to meet LA, HELL NO.

I bought a pen and washi tape to only realize two of the colors don't work and tape is not very sticky. You can't test the pens ,so that's a bit of a mistake on my part. The cashier was not at all personable and like a robot. A warning for figure collectors I'd go to Maneki Neko in Japanese Village Plaza as I suspect many of their figures are bootleg or from Alibaba . I am a huge collector so I am talking from an experienced eye. Luckily I wasn't out that much money.

I drove to Little Tokyo today to pick up some merchandise. I went to several locations, but I decided to spend my money in this store because the prices were pretty cheap or competitive compared to other stores. What really impressed me was that there is new management since last week, and he was very helpful and friendly in suggesting items. He also showed me that most of the items that he buys for the store are directly from Japan, which means they are legit licensed merchandise. I say 'almost' because they also have some good office supplies from Korea. I got what I wanted and went upstairs to get some ramen. Across from the store is a grocery store, so you can do hobby shopping, grocery shopping, and have lunch all in one stop! Sunday well spent lol. Owner also told me that he ordered more bunny girls if anyone of you guys are into waifu lol

Been here once or twice and came back again yesterday to browse while waiting for our soufflé pancake from next door. They had one door open, other door was shut which had a sign that said "no food or drink" and didn't even notice it till we walked out. We had our open boba drink when we walked in but they didn't enforce it or anything. We browsed around a bit and ended up only getting a few blind boxes. They had a handful of really nice ones! Some Pokémon and SpyxFamily ones which we went for. Suuuuper cute and glad we got them since we didn't get any duplicates! The prices here are very good too. Not super expensive compared to Tokyo Japan Lifestyle at most malls. The people working there were very nice and the store was well spaced and organized. Easy to find what you're looking for. Great little shop by the Kinokuniya book store. Bought a figure for a decent price and was completely legit didn’t see any bootlegs as far as the figures go and the staff was very nice as well. Would definitely recommend.

A cute store with many plushies, figurines, apparel, merch and even things like stationary! This is definitely on the smaller end of the Japanese Gift stores that are similar but it definitely does have a few gems in here so definitely give it a chance if you're in the area.
