I can’t stop smiling thinking about this store. This is what being an Iranian immigrant is all about. The store owner Mr. Valipour is was the best. Thoroughly knowledgeable on Persian literature and poetry (both classic and contemporary) and also had AMAZINGLY unique publications on Iranian Music.
He also has essentially every edition of dissident Iranian academic journals, dating back 40 years.
His love for Iranian history, literature and culture seeps through the walls of his store. Spending money here is a priveledge.

***WARNING***This store is selling the associated and know "Mojahed Khalgh" flags as an actual and original Pesrsian (Shir o Khorshid) flag.They also refuse to accept returns on their flags. This is truely disgraceful!!

This bookstore has been working for +30 years in the same location toward promoting Iranian books and cultures and art. Personally think if it I was a kabob restaurant , the owner would have made so much more money and respect from Iranians. As you see the comment by an unknown low life SIMO A. Obviously with one review is to trash all this business ever have done. Sounds just like Islamic republic labeling people to bring them down and over what? A $20 flag who doesn't resemble any other flag but IRAN's ancient lion and sun. Shame on you SIMO or whatever your name is and whomever associates with you! SIMO $ . . SIMO . ....

I have been trying to learn Farsi, a friend of mine suggested I try this bookstore for workbooks to help me speak better in sentences. I have tried 3 times to come to this store. All 3 times the store was closed. The last time I came, I stopped next door for faloodeh and waited until past opening stated on both Google and the door, no one there. I was only told the person who ran the store was there in the morning and might come back. The front of the store is decorated beautifully with Farsi calligraphy. I hope maybe the owner or who runs the location will provide updated times of operation.
