Very disappointed in wait time. followed by lack of explanation and options given on diagnosis, lack of empathy.

Fantastic team for knee replacements. Dr. Oakes has trained everyone who interacts with his patients so they know what he wants and expects to ensure great outcomes for the patients. Although you have to wait a long time sometimes in the clinic, it is worth it. I had my right knee done, and then unfortunately my left knee went bad shortly after and I had to get it replaced. I tell everyone I know that Dr. Oakes is the way to go, I wouldn’t let anyone else touch me.

Doctors and Nurses and PAs are amazing. The appointment staff is horrid. Impossible to get through (roughly ten calls over three weeks just to find out there was nothing available at a hospital near us for AT LEAST THREE MONTHS).Although the scheduler was very nice - getting to someone was extraordinarily difficult and time consuming and she was not up to speed.Someone should terminate the head of this department and the new head of the department should start by reviewing and terminating any staff that can not actually get the job done with speed and efficiency. It is sad that medical delivery is at such a high level and getting to the delivery of medical care is at such a low level. Bad form. Is nobody watching?

I had a wonderful experience at Keck Orthopedics. My doctor was outstanding and every person at Keck treated me with exceptional care.

Awful experience here. Keck has always been great, but the only thing I can say for this department is lazy, negligent, and non-compliance with HIPA laws. I received a letter for termination from work after chasing down my paperwork for weeks. It was supposedly sent in, but then sent to the wrong person. I waited a week, giving ample time initially then made followups every few days via phone, email, Keck portal, other departments leaving notes, internal messages via operator, and even the grievance department. None of that will make up for termination of a long term job that paid well.Avoid this department and take orthopedics elsewhere. Incompetency runs rampant here among the clerical staff. I had an okay experience with the medical portion, but not great, especially considering the standard that is present throughout the rest of the association. Terrible communication. While I typically wouldn't name a single person, I will say to at all cost avoid dealing with Norma Sif. unless you want nothing to be done. The only person who assisted was Yesenie A. By all means your best bet is to work with her if you must deal with this department.

Extremely long waiting time + incompetent front desk. Be prepared to waste a few hours per visit.

I had a terrible experience at the orthopaedic department. The only good thing was getting the initial appointment, but afterwards it was just endless back and forth on the phone and waiting in pain for a month before I could schedule a follow up injection appointment.

While I was very satisfied with Doctor Gamradt, I must report and warn all future patients that any procedure done in his office in Beverly Hills will incur a hefty 'minor surgery' claim to your insurance of several thousand dollars. This is in addition to the procedure cost and time. This charge is outrageous since this an office visit and not performed at the actual surgical center in San Pedro. The office and billing were intractable in hearing my appeal, because the Keck School of USC...Gamradt's office is a clinic and this add on charge is appropriate. In many cases, your insurance will cover a portion of this tacked on charge, but you (like me) could be stuck with a bill for hundreds of dollars. To anyone with common sense, this markup charge is akin to 'dealer markup' when buying a car. Purely a money grab from the insurance/patient in my opinion. I was not verbally informed of this charge and of the office's 'special' status as clinic. I was told there was a sign somewhere amongst the 20-30 signs to that effect... Warning to all patients, if you are getting a procedure done at any physician in the Keck School of USC group, demand in writing a detailed list of claims to be filed against your insurance BEFORE you have a procedure done.

Dr Gamradt is amazing. I came to see him about a shoulder issue before the pandemic and he took care of me. I was reluctant to have surgery, but I am glad I did. I was back to playing tennis in no time thanks to him. I am back for plantar fasciitis with Dr. Hong two years later. He takes his time explaining all the exercises I can do to help and the things I shouldn't do to help. I have so many questions because I really want to get back to playing tennis, and he answers them all with patience. The staff here is always willing to accommodate when they can.

Not an issue with the doctors, but rather Usc billing. For an steroid injection on the foot done in clinic, not the surgery center, USC billed the insurance $4,300. Insurance provided a discount, but still my insurance paid them $3500 for the injection. This is an insane price compared to other foot doctor who bill my insurance less than $200 for same steroid injections , which I have had in the past. USC over bills for all their services by thousands of dollars. Such a billing scam.

Zero stars. Saw Dr Paul Gilbert and he was dismissive and offered no solution for my concerns. As a fellow medical provider, this attitude is unacceptable when a patient presents with an issue and asks for solutions. Doctor was rushing through the consultation as I heard he was leaving for the day. Filing a grievance with my insurance as this was a complete waste of time and disrespect as a patient.

Layla is incompetent, but for some reason Dr. Weber was much more concerned about her feelings than my husbands chart being mixed up while seeking treatment. My sister in law is the Executive Director of a UC Hospital and she was blown away by Keck and told us how lucky we are that they did not perform a procedure on him because unless you play for a professional sports team they could care less.
