Elena is a kind and skilled tailor. She altered my complicated party dress expertly and thoroughly. It is an off the shoulder dress made of sequin with a full feather collar. She asked me to try it on in the dressing room and pointed out where the fit was loose and baggy. She pinned it in several places to fit and only charged $35 to be ready in three days. When I picked it up I tried it on again and it fit like a glove. I examined the dress and could NOT tell where the alterations were made. When I asked she explained she carefully took the dress apart to replace the feather collar and the elastic band holding it up on the inside. WOW! That is 5-star service.

I've been going to Jewell for over 30 years and they have the most consistent results in best pricing. I travel 15 to 20 miles just to get my stuff to her.

I want to share a true story. I'll try and be brief. My family has been using Jewell Cleaners for decades. The owners of Jewell is Korean family who has always respected the community and provided great service. Diane and I became good friends in the early 90s after I returned from the military. I used to love Jewel cleaners. The owners and employees were friendly, they made a point to get to know their customers. Also, the cleaning was thorough and on time. I don't know who are the new owners, but things are not the same. Young Lee's certificates adorn the walls and doors; it looks like the same establishment, but the Lee's are no where to be found. I support small businesses, but cannot support this one.
