This is a great stop on any LA tourist short list. Restaurants, markets, anime stores! If you have a teenager into this kind of stuff, you got to take them!

Several great restaurants, not the least of which is Chinchikurin - fantastic okonomiyaki and tantanmen. Nijiya Market for groceries and basic needs. Mitsuru Cafe for imagawayaki and takoyaki, Yamazaki Bakery for other baked sweets, Pop Killer for neat fashion. There are like 20 other cool shops there, and apparently a karaoke place up in the mall building by the ice cream shop, one floor above the underground toy shop.Just a chill and convenient place to do eating and shopping.

A symbolic commercial facility located in Little Tokyo, DTLA.I visited by using the subway. It is located a short walk from Little Tokyo/Arts District subway station on A or E lines. If you do your best, you can walk from UnionStation Station, which is a tourist base for many people.Ramen, sushi, gachapon, anime (Little Akihabara), and many other contents that symbolize Japan from yesteryear and recent years.Ramen shops are not only located here, but are scattered throughout Little Tokyo, and are now one of Japan's representative food cultures.Even though it's overseas, I personally don't want to pay more than 3,000 yen for a bowl. .Since it was early in the morning, most of the tenant stores had not yet opened, but we were able to enjoy the atmosphere, including the lanterns, languages (hiragana, katakana, and kanji), and familiar Japanese company logos (Bandai and Yamazaki). It was interesting to see the Americanized parts, which made me wonder what Japan looks like from an American perspective.(Many Korean stores are mixed in as tenants, and East Asian countries seem to be lumped together.)

Amazing! We loved it. So many fun stores to look at in a beautiful Japanese village setting. Had delicious Ramen here, shopped Sanrio toys, and tried our luck at the claw machines (inside the mall).

If you love Japanese culture it's a great place to visit. The security guards there do an awesome job of keeping the rifraf out.
