A bit chaotic but unbeatable for its inventory. All the female staff members I met are very friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t say so for the guys though. Some are patronizing. Some are just weird. An old Google review says “this place is becoming to feel like some Middle East bazaar.” LOL. I definitely get that from some of the male staff members.

I've been coming here for years. The fabric variety is amazing but the one thing that stands out is the customer service. Mario is by far the best person I've worked with. He's taught me a lot about fabric, never made me feel dumb for things I didn't know. I highly recommend this employee!! BIG reason why I come here!!! ISW is super lucky to have him!!!!!!! Thanks Mario!!!!

The selection and service are beyond outstanding. Nelly in the notions department is an absolute genius. I bring garments, both modern and vintage, that need appliques or buttons and within minutes, she has found the perfect item. Her knowledge is superb plus she is a very sweet lady. As for the fabrics, Mario's customer service is also outstanding. He is patient and will stick with a project until he has found the perfect match (and some of them have been challenging).I am so thrilled to have such customer service!!

A true gem in the neighborhood. Amazing, friendly customer service and a wonderful variety of fabrics. A blessing to all Set Decoration Buyers who don't want to go downtown! Extra props at Mario for his patience while client/agency make all the last minute changes. He seriously makes my job easier.

Amazing selection and superb personal service. Valentina is a dream and so nice; she spent 15 minutes with me helping pick the perfect shirt buttons. And she gave super advice on how to care for them....make sure you or your dry cleaner wraps the delicate buttons in foil before pressing / ironing the shirt. Great tip! Fabulous fabrics and basically anything you need for clothing....needles, glue, dyes, tailoring accessories and of course lots of fabrics. Lots of free easy parking in their private lot. It's so much fun to browse here and pick up something amazing. Love the celebrity star wall with autographs, too.

I had shop at this shop since I was a little then as teenager then as young woman I had all my beautiful dresses made from the special room up stairs beautiful laces I even met lots of actor actress s. I had the wonderful experience meeting Gina Lola bridgetta a beautiful woman in person

This is a fabulous store, has everything a fabric store should be, it is high end, more like a michael Levine than a jo ann store and much friendlier than F&S, the staff here are helpful and knowledgeable about textiles, however they do not sell online and that is frustrating for those of us that live far away, Hence 4 stars.

I went to International Silks & Woolens to find a matching row of rhinestones missing from the top of my blouse. I've been going there for years, cause I can find everything there. Hannah came over and asked if I need help. She assisted in finding me 3 matching rhinestones. The first was too big, and the next set was perfect. She cut off a piece, gave it to me and said Merry Christmas! Hannah was amazing and I appreciate her assistance!

I went today because I needed a zipper, I was guided upstairs by a lovely sales person but then as get upstairs to the department I'm looking for I'm "greeted" by two disgustingly rude girls. All this because they were afraid of my dog. They didn't voice that all. All they did is say no when I asked if they could help.. I'm French they were most likely from Guadeloupe or Martinique island, I somehow recognize the accent or the way they spoke French and I know damn well the sound of those lips are to be sassy and/or disrespectful when pointed towards a stranger. Thankfully another lady was here to help, was kind and a dog lover. I don't expect everybody to like dogs but if you are afraid please simply say "sir I'm a bit spooked by dogs let me have my collègue help" I'm really disgusted by this type of behavior and that's why I hate people
